ah ah, are headlines this hour and you coed strain in southern africa, sparks global panic prompting countries to shove done or travel with the region the very end. it's already spreading globally though with germany the latest nation to report a suspected case. the developers of something v are preparing to test the russian shelf against the new mutation. we hear from the hungarian, foreign minister about his own country's maxine policy on the needs about the lives above politics. there are too many countries. i'm considering the issues of vaccination as if it had a political order or ideological nature. you know, it's about liable to people. friends postponed mandatory vaccinations for it's caribbean territories after a spate of violence on rest over the order also coming up

with well, i didn't do anything special. i simply battled for my life. every post in my situation would have done the same. the courageous 1st words of a rescuer who was fund alive in a siberian coal mine after being presumed dead, a criminal probe has not been opened into thursday's explosion, which claim more than 50 lives. ah . from moscow to the world, this is our it's he pleasure to have your company to day. i mean, and o'neill the us and canada have joined the e. u and halting flights from 6 southern african nations. after the discovery of walks been described as a highly infectious new cobit strain and johannesburg, the new restrictions of left earth passengers scrambling to get out. if i can get

on board now, i'll have to be an employee here waiting to go back to the pay over dessert sir. thing, but on the other hand, always because i'm of new variance thought on a whole. we're gonna keep looking on every time we want you varian, just a disconnecting one, going to the door and you pay is not for fear. it's heartbreaking people. i devastated just before christmas. mom really said yeah, frustration, evidently clear. there are lines have council flies from south africa to the u. k. ahead of the approaching dead line lo flights to some other western countries, including the u. s. r. continuing until monday, reporting now on europe's response to the new coven variant. your charlotte davinsky in paris will this super mutant strain of cov, it has been described as being more transmissible than delta. and that has really ramped up phase. it's been reported that it's already been found on the european

continent in belgium. that is from a sample that was taken from a young woman who said to have not been anywhere near the south of the african continent. she had indeed been to egypt and to turkey. and it's also said that she was unvaccinated key. i'm at knocking rap on confirm case of this parent is someone who came from abroad. this person was tested on november 22nd. he was not vaccinated and had no prior infection. so this case has been observed and confirmed . but i want to repeat that it is a suspicious fair, and we don't know if it's a very dangerous one. of all. as a result of this, new countries are now scrambling to close their air space to a number of countries in the south of africa. that's because the super mutant strain has been found in several countries there, but it could already be too late,
9:04 am
as that case in belgium shows. now, not much is known about this particular mutation, but experts are really sounding the alarm over what they say, the potential properties of it could be. and it's the fact that it's such a heavy mutation. just give you an example. experts in the u. k. have described this as being so mutated that it is barely recognizable when it compared to the original strain of cove at 19. and as a result of that, we have seen devastation across the world over the last 18 months or so. the european commission president is urging other countries to take heed and to also close their space. the european commission has today proposed to member states to activate the emergency brake on travel from countries and southern african and other countries affected. to limit the spread of the new variant. now the u. k was one of the countries that 1st decided to put that ban in place of flights coming at
9:05 am
to and from those 6 countries in africa are. but it has said that that list could be expanded in the next few days with more more countries being put back on the read less than that could cause so many fears that yet again, travel plans as we head into the holy sea season will be thwarted just as they were back in 2020. now this also comes at a time when there is a 5th wave of the pandemic hitting the european continent so much so that countries are putting new restrictions back in place. we've already seen partial downs and lock downs in some countries like in austria and in the netherlands. and even here in france earlier this week, the french health minister saying that from the middle of january, people will have to have a 3rd job for cove at 19 of vaccine if they don't, than their health passed to allow them access to every day. things like cafes and
9:06 am
restaurants will no longer be valid. but the real concern here is if those experts are right that this mutation is so far removed from the original covert 19 variant will the vaccines that have already been creative, be enough? will they even be effective, or as many fear will they just beat totally ineffective against this strain? if that's the case, it's going to leave the politicians scratching their heads again and scientists having to go back to the drawing board. but the question many of us are now asking when will this? and while i, charlotte went through, they're assigned to say the new variant has an unusually high number of mutations. although so far, there's no evidence. it's more deadly than previous trains. a biologist from russia skulk of our institute of science on technology, told us why it's raising alarm. if this variant indeed is proficient,
9:07 am
more proficient than delta and can substitute delta, then it's not the question of if, but the question when it's very clear that this has been straightened up, emerged in a probably single individual which had a case of long code. it probably was a suppressed immune system where the you there and had gradually accumulated multiple mutations well being in a single person and then was released in the environment and started talking you individuals. what they can do at most is just slow down the distribution global distribution of you, very young to the what happen, whether they are restrictions not just focused on one country in europe, germany is continuing to see a search in coven infections with a new daily record of 76000 cases and the situations being compounded by the army, chrome, very and according to a government minister, one likely case has already been detected in the nation. several mutations typical
9:08 am
of alma crohn, were found last night and travel from south africa. so there is a high level of suspicion and the person has been isolated at home. we're still waiting for the complete sequencing or covert hospitals in germany are already overwhelmed, essentially with the earth force being called in to help transfer covert patients so far to military jets have been set aside to assist. we spoke to the specialist there who said the new strains means all options are on the table. when you buy this new varian spreads quickly and the vaccines we have now stopped working there worried about situation. people who already are not clear, it may not be protected, but we have to wait and see if that worst case scenario becomes the case. maybe we'll be lucky on the vaccines will also work against this mutation at the moment. we don't know enough about it. there isn't a p c r t s for yet, but we have to be cautious. a sort of virus is changing all the time. and several
9:09 am
mutations have occurred. the viruses a multiplying a few 1000 times a day. errors occur in the replication and a new virus emerges. it's not unusual and going up in every day. so there's still plenty of uncertainty over the only problem very and, and whether the panic is warranted on our website. we've got to explain or an overall taking you through everything from spike proteins to the stock market sell up had to r t dot com for that. for voc seen, producers are scrambling to determine if there drugs will work against the army. kron variant and russia. the institute behind the spending the job, so the testing will start as soon as they obtain a sample of the new straight outing, they were optimistic, it would prove effective, and then hungry a studies far enough. sputnik v offers high efficacy against old earlier cobit variance researches say it's more successful at preventing hospitalization and death than any other vaccine. in budapest is now hoping local production of sputnik
9:10 am
we will start next year, although the drug is still awaiting approval from the you. regulator, gary and foreign minister peter c. r 2, sat down with our team on the boy to to speak about the need to de politicize. the issue. i really don't find the verse to describe how i feel about the fact that there are still many countries considering the issues of vaccination as if it had a political or, or ideological nature. you know, it's about the lives of the people we knew in the lives of the people. what is it for them as far as the political? it's whether a political and ideological debate, i'm very frustrated about that. to be honest. and i tell you why your appeal, the regulation speaks very clearly about hallway vaccine, can be approved on the territory of 2 ways. first, by the european madison agency,
9:11 am
which is a normal, let's say, business of usual way of approving a vacuum. but a european regulation says that in case of the state of emergency, this one, the national regulators, are allowed to approve of axioms. also on a temporary basis before we started to use both splitting because you know, far from china, the national regulator of ours has approved the use of both. which means that the use of scrutiny in hungary is being based on a european regulation. and that's why, to be honest, we don't understand why it is not being respected by the by the other member states . whenever i talk to western european colleagues on my vest or european colleagues of mine between for i, they always tell me that they know that the russian scientific performance can be spoken about all in very highly. and i said look, it 1st the best. of course it works well, hungary and experts have approve that. and regardless of the fact that privately,
9:12 am
they all say that when it goes to public, they act totally differently. i have the luxury to be in this position for more than 7 years now. so i clearly remember who said what 56 years ago, and i remember the way we were really, really attacked. and we were considering very, very hostile way, very rude expressions were used on us. and those who treated us in a very rude way. they are now giving, basically a standing ovation to those who act similarly as we acted back in 2015. what do you think has changed in europe on that issue over the last 5 years? you know, i think there's a big hypocrisy. there might be some comments which, which sound to be different compared to what has been since 2015 by the essence. but the essence of the european migration policy remained unchanged unfortunately. and if you look at the document or the statement or the founding document of the,
9:13 am
of the new german government coalition, you will see that this extremely pro migration, extremely or fears over the new street. and we've just been going through has not stopped fronts from postponing. it's a vaccine mandate order for its caribbean territories. it comes after a week of violent unrest and guadalupe martinique over coven restrictions and post by parties. ah ah, the french government initially ordered all health workers on the caribbean islands to get cobit shots or tick unpaid leave. that didn't go done well with frustration
9:14 am
already high over unemployment, stagnant wages, and wide spread poverty. the protests have tapped into broader resentment against paris with islanders citing heavy handed regulations, a lack of financial support. the french president has urged people in guadalupe on martinique not to mix up covered rules with colonial era grievances, the money. one micron also accused some in the territories of spreading what he called falsehoods about vaccines. we will not give into lies distortion of information and the exploitation by some people of this situation. we do not play with health, and we will not lead the health of the french people to be played with for the sake of political infighting, or political analysts. nicholas markovich is of the view that france treats its curb in territories as 2nd class citizens. it's a catastrophe. people are not being taken care of in the hospitals into an in guadalupe today. it's a very difficult situation with
9:15 am
a threat coming from paris has only been greeted by a strong backlash from the inhabitants. so guadalupe don't want the french laws concerning mandatory health passes in on the island. this is the 1st time that we've seen real revolts against the decision coming from paris. they don't trust the government, they don't trust the media. so they say, we don't want these vaccines because we don't think that these are, these are the solution to the sanitary crisis or the cobra crisis today. so there isn't this, the fundamental element is, 1st, this strong distrust in information coming from paris and from mainstream media. and i think it's going to be interesting to see how the government treats this because people and in mainland friends are saying, well, if the government is going to come back on it's law. and guadalupe martinique, which are french, who would you like, which are in france? why don't they do the same thing in france? why if they're making vaccinate, they say now the 1st government that i can give x, teens which don't have a r n and messenger in it. if they're doing that for, well,
9:16 am
why don't do they do that for the mr. france, or they're going to be different laws 16 minutes into the program still ahead workers on to equal activist target the corporate joined amazon with a wave of black friday strikes, unreleased announced stories coming up shortly. oh no. hm. gary and proverb says you can put everything under one hat. it means that the same rules can't be applied to every one. and yet this is what beauty passed, signed up to when it entered the european union in 2004. today hungry is accused of all possible sins against democracy. now does the or bank government feel about its future and place in the european family?
9:17 am
who are all those driven by drink shaped banks? concur. some of those with dares sinks. we dare to ask oh, hello again. a russian court has reminded 5 suspects in custody for a period of 2 months following thursday's deadly coal mine blast the men, 3 managers and 2 inspectors have been charged with violating safety protocols. all
9:18 am
of denied wrong doing, leading up to the underground within explosion in the camera by region, which claimed the lives of 51 people. the head of the mines section where the blast occurred in sicily had received no prior complaints from staff. the death toll was earlier revised downwards after a rescuer who had been presumed dead managed to get out of the mine. his survival was described as a miracle by the emergency services chief working on the side local minor. so have lost hope of finding any more survivors require food, nor shunned room for the last chance to get out was with the rescuer to survived. don't wait for the rest. got going. us go at it. so nobody could have survived as long as this, especially because oxygen is now gradually being replaced by methane. i have no idea how one man managed to survive. how can one predict such a blast? there's no mining without gas,
9:19 am
only more ventilation and more checks will help or yeah, others are before no cold, no money. every one is trying to fulfill the plan and earn something if the ventilation services are responsible for checking the guest levels in the minds. 18 years ago when i witnessed the my, unless the shaft was poorly ventilated, a specialist has to come and check all that needs to be checked. but that time work started straight away. the rescue operation has no resumed after being halted due to fears of further explosions. the camera of a governor says caution is the priority where the cancer asked to we desperately want to get everyone out on the surface. we are doing all we can, but without risking the lives of our rescuers. we have no right to have more men dead. when the 1st group of rescuers rushed into the mind right after the blast it was justified. now it's not. but so everything we do must be 1st of all safe autumn . the miners job is one of the most dangerous in the world. but if a rescuer has to go in,
9:20 am
the danger is multiplied and earlier while rescuers were unable to access the mind, desperate families were left waiting for news. any news at the entrance holding on to a glimmer of hope? yeah, yeah. my son is down there in the mine. as his mother, i feel that he is alive without some hope. when one metal was found alive, you see if that man spend a day down there and survived, it means it's possible to survive. but we are tall. people die in 2 or 3 hours due to lack of air monitor under the rubble. they are already counted. his dad just like that. matt has survived. well, it's been 3 days since the explosion shared the list. vast. no coal mine in canada and efforts are still going on throughout the day to stabilize the situation in the mind. now at this point, nitrogen has been injected into the mine to neutralize the build up of methane gas . but that means that virtually at this point, there's no chance that anybody who is still trapped down to air have survived. now,
9:21 am
a criminal investigation into this tragedy is already ongoing. 5 people have been detained. that saw the head of the mining company, his deputy, and the person in charge of the mine itself. now also there were 2 safety inspectors who were detained on suspicion of faking a safety inspection in this exact mine just a week before this horrific tragedy. now the mine deputies, they denied the charges made against them and also one of the inspectors also says that he did not do anything wrong. however, all 5 of these people have been detained for 2 months of pending the investigation as it continues to find out what was wrong with the mine and what led up to this situation. and in fact, it's been told, we've seen reports that there were a lot of known issues in this mine and that miners knew about them and reported them to the higher ups. here's what one of the relatives of the miners has said on
9:22 am
the matter. one rosco's, honestly, i remember my brother in law telling me about a methane program in the mine, and the instances of a gas builder. and so on. told me that when the level of methane went off, the scale and all work ground to a halt. but sometimes despite this, there was a forbidden level of methane, and even though it wasn't that high, the mine is still hats work. they even had to resort to various methods to decrease the level indicators in order to get work done. he occasionally let his former head know about the situation. he wondered how he could work in such circumstances. the minds management was aware of what was going on. well, now the investigative committee has said that it will do its utmost to get to the bottom of this to find out who could have been responsible for this blatant violation of safety procedures on a hazardous production facility. and this is what they have said in their statement, because it is not bundled, it is commonly known that tragedies of a similar nature have occurred in mines in the camera of
9:23 am
a region and in other regions to the cost of these mistakes is invariably people's lives. the investigative committee intends to look into the circumstances of the situation and address the deeper causes that lead to serious consequences and provoked the tragedy. it's not good right now. there are still many grieving relatives who have been devastated by this tragedy, and they demand answers and hopefully with the criminal investigation going on. as soon they could receive them. black friday was supposed to bring mega profits to the world's biggest retail or amazon. it may have done months, but across europe on the u. s. the event was overshadowed by protests over the companies, treatment of workers on the environment, kill em up, and reports from the heart of the demonstrations in new york. i well, we're here on 5th avenue and manhattan outside of the building where jeff bezos
9:24 am
owns 4 floors of luxury apartments and right out here. as you can see, we're seeing representatives of labor unions and progressive community activist groups who are assembling to demand the recognition of a union at the amazon warehouses now among the crowd, our amazon workers allies of the labor movement, progressive activists, et cetera. all highlighting the conditions at the amazon warehouses on demanding better treatment for the workers. here is some of what was in the call made for actions against jeff bezos on black friday. what is traditionally a top shopping holiday in the united states? the pandemic has exposed how amazon place is profits, head of work, as society and our planet amazon takes too much and gives back to little. the make amazon pay coalition is demanding higher wages for amazon's employees. an end to the workers surveillance policies,
9:25 am
extended sick leave and improvement of anti coven measures, an end to casual employment status and representation for the union. and they want amazon as well as it ceo jeff bezos to pay their fair share and taxes. now, last year on black friday, there were massive protests targeting amazon around the world. and this year continued that tradition, we saw actions in the united kingdom actions in latin america, actions and bangladesh and many parts of the world targeting jeff bezos, an amazon highlighting the treatment, the workers and demanding union representation. now some of the protesters here today said that this is a global movement. we chose this day because we are following in the footsteps of what happened last year. and it proved to be the right thing to do because we're here today. but when we woke up, the workers in europe are already blocking us warehouses in england, their actions all over the globe. and this, this is
9:26 am
a massive movement against greedy capitalist like basis last years as, as well as a 2019 were pretty big. but this year may be the biggest i me to day, you know, amazon workers in south africa walked off the job. m's all workers in brazil and mexico walked off the job. so it's quite a gathering our seeing voices from the labor movement from climate change activists supporting groups. progressive organizations. quite a gathering here on 5th avenue in manhattan. amazon issued a statement in advance of the protest defending its environmental record on seeing it provide safe working conditions on great benefits for all stuff. many workers, though, dispute that claim, can you describe the conditions and the amazon warehouses? yeah, absolutely. they are brutal, especially around the holiday season. they were 10 to 12 hours would a extra day now. mandatory extra time for the next 6 weeks, $6.00 to $8.00 weeks. oh, you know, work is going to be working 55 plus hours just to fulfill packages for christmas in
9:27 am
holidays. so these warehouses are over a 1000000 square feet. so they walk, plus the 10 miles a day. they only feed all it all the all the time. ok, there's no real bathroom breaks because if they pick away from the talking to station us time will task and they can absolutely be fired for that. so they're subjected to a, you know, long days of no rest, minimum graph and breaks, minimum break time in the working conditions that contain to get worse. i think it survives sad and very bad. and especially when happening in the last 2 years in this country, people are suffering, especially the working class. jeopardy is a symbol of this conceit, but that company which is not based on the humanity, was based on the greed, jeff bezos. and just in a minute is earning what amazon workers would dream of working in hours and hours and days. so we have to really focus on how they have so much money,
9:28 am
so much control of markets and ability to drag down the wages. and finally, before we go, the search for a u. f o's has long been a hobby for our materially and hunters and governments alike. but the u. s. has now decided it's time to all its game. now it's because it still has over a 100 sightings of strange, aerial phenomena by military pilots another's over the past 2 decades. that it just can't explain. the pentagon reopened z u f o task force. 5 months after the previous group proved to be ineffective. things like the u. s. fails, insecure without searching for unidentified flying objects. this new group has a really big name. ah, big name, fake toss. says the pentagon takes all reports on have on objects very seriously.

c well, if you'd like to dig for them to the ups or any of this our storage, a good place to start is r t dot com, always lively there of a weekend. i'm you know, mail saying bye for now. ah . with us dollars all to reserve currency in the days are numbered there. those even the big client community that held on hope that somehow the us dollar well remain on the world stage. but as hillary clinton or south points out, the coin is essentially undermining or destroying the u. s. dollar. because the u.
9:30 am
s. dollar can't hold its purchasing power because it's via money and no fee money over the past 300 years has ever escaped trading to 0. you a tool that was bad for your eyes and your post. yeah. that it would stop you from having real friends and finding a girlfriend. but what they fail to mention is that you can make thousands of dollars over the weekend by simply playing video games. a couple of them because i always wanted to question a georgia resume. the high paying job you have to be gifted and quick witted. i'm going to open up with nurse to live near him and miss thompson with webpage. but here from youngs produce park even started yet go out.
