i, mr. mia is already beginning to be evidence that these old techniques are now being used on immigrants and children, whatever you do or more comes home. nobody has been held accountable for the torture that happened in the past. the moral authority, the made america world leader. sacrifice for the shimmer of effective interrogation long. no one else seemed wrong. when all right, just don't hold any world yet to see how'd disdain becomes the advocate. an engagement equals the trail. when so many find themselves worlds apart, we choose to look so common ground a

with her tonight, questions surrounding a recent incidents about hate crimes, race and religious beliefs on the forefront of the controversy. loss is a former president, donald trump, really planning another run after his speech in arizona over the weekend somewhere convinced his campaigning days are not over. and more allegations about even closer ties between glen maxwell and prince andrew. i'm natasha sweets and you're watching the news use hughes right here on our t america. ah, hello and thank you so much for joining us. i'm natasha suite in for scotty now hughes. we begin with

a rather disturbing story and the nation's most heavily populated city. new york city officials are reporting a drastic search and crime. you only release data from n y p t says that hate crimes have skyrocketed across the city. and now the manhattan district attorney is seen mass resignations over his alleged soft on crime policies are tease. trinity chavez has more on the story from new york today, new york city officials on high alert as the nation's most populated city, is facing an uptick in crime specifically hate crime. new data from the new york city police department says hey, crimes have skyrocketed across the city overall. there were 503 reported hate crimes as of december. 5th of 252 in 2020. that's a 100 percent. increase police say the spike has been driven by crimes against the asian community where there has been a staggering 361 percent increase. $129.00 incidence so far this year versus the 28th last year. just sweet homeless man shoved an asian woman to her desk in front
10:33 pm
of an oncoming subway train in new york city's time square station. i had a long drive. yeah. why? dad rise and hate crime is yet another crisis. officials are trying to battle amid the corona virus pandemic. i'll recovery is dependent on the public safety in this city. and in the subway system. we can do that with the right balance, a balance of safety and the balance of pro, actively given people the assistance they need when the admin to health crisis. but as long foresman officials try to combat the surgeon crime amid the corona virus pandemic, manhattan district attorney alvin greg is he mast resignations from his prosecutors over his soft on crime policies. according to an internal memo obtained by the new york post brag, ordered his prosecutors to stop seeking prison sentences for hoards of criminals and to downgrade felony charges and cases,
10:34 pm
including armed robberies and drug dealing. at least a dozen, lawyers have quit within 2 weeks of his term. under brag, soft on crime approach. robberies are directed to be persecuted as petty larceny, if no victim was wounded and there is no risk of physical harm. while prostitution turns they'll jumping weapons and marijuana possession won't be prosecuted at all. i reached out to the attorney general's office for reaction to the growing criticism surrounding his new approach and have not yet heard back in new york trinity sharp as r t. for more on the story we bring in manila chan, host of our team americas in question, and steve miles burg host of r t c. the process. thanks so much for coming on the show today at thanks. gotcha. so manella, let's start with you. what we saw in trinity story was absolutely heartbreaking. do you think the actions stem from what so many are calling asian hate? or is it just a hate for other people in general?
10:35 pm
well, you know, i think marcia, that, that while this incident at the new york city subway platform, i think this one was more of a case of a mental health issue. and i think that is the stark problem that we're seeing. and a lot of these big cities across the us that do happen to be democrat lead. i think a lot of resources are not being placed where they need to go in places like this, where you just saw that man who was allegedly a homeless person with mental health issues shouting at the press. i don't believe that particular case was a, a case of asian hate, although yes, there is an unprecedented numbers of asian hate crimes going through the roof all over these big cities. this one in particular though, i wouldn't say was an example of that, but is a stark example of a lot of democrat cities not putting enough money and funding into the homeless crisis and the mental health issue that's happening across this country. yeah, both are are so extremely unfortunate. and now over the weekend, there was
10:36 pm
a frightening hosted situation at a texas synagogue. so for hostages reported safe and their captors dead after a long stand off that began during services at congregation beth israel in color. bill, texas. let's take a listen to what the israeli prime minister and president biden had to say. this event is a stark reminder that the dark forces of anti semitism still exist. we must, and we will fight it. this was an active chair. and the chair not only was related to someone who had been arrested, i might at 15 years, you know, i've been in jail for 10 years. so steve, what is your take on the situation summer saying that the shooter was reportedly muslim. do you think this was an attack on jewish beliefs or something deeper? no, from what we've heard in while he would, he was trying to. okay. first the f. b,
10:37 pm
i came out after the attacker was killed in the hostages were released and said that he was not targeting the jewish community. this was not an anti semitic event, and were looking for a motive, all of which was absolute nonsense and a disgrace. today they said it is an anti semitic event. the jewish community was targeted. now we knew from the beginning, according to all reports, he wanted this woman known as lady al qaeda, released from prison, a prison, just miles from where he went into the synagogue. that was his goal, but he chose a synagogue. he also according to one of the congregants who followed the services online, heard him say terrible things about israel, jews, and then pro palestinian rhetoric, et cetera. so how they ever could have said it was an anti semitic in the 1st place, the f b i standing there and saying that is beyond me, except the guy was wearing a mag ahead. if the guy was wearing a mag, that you'd be hearing about this story,
10:38 pm
page one lead story all day, all week. now it's an after thought here and see you're in new york. what's the reaction there? like about the district attorney alvin bragg and his new policy to not sink prison sentences for felonies and misdemeanors. it's outrageous. nobody feels safe. they didn't feel safe before this clown came in and now they really don't feel safe. i mean, that's it. the mayor came in and why? because he said he would turn around what bill diblasio was not doing and re institute the undercover anti crime unit, police officers, et cetera. and now you got this guy saying, go ahead do it. basically, we're not going to prosecute these people for most crimes. i don't know how we won one because nobody really votes, and this is a trend we're seeing all over the country. these kinds of prosecutors who want to let criminals roam free and all the da's are leaving in his office. that's what he wants. so he could go get people from the legal aid society and put them in place,
10:39 pm
and he will have an office full of people thinking like him. it's a disaster. manila, do you feel as though this new policy would bring forth more incidents like the tragic one we sell in manhattan with the women being pushed toward death? you know, i think that's a, that's a tough one to answer. but i do think that when you are not prosecuting, the smaller crimes, you do open the door for bigger crimes to happen. and if we're going to be talking about asian, hey, when you look at cities like new york city or san francisco, where there are a lot of asian populations there. when you're seeing all these smaller crimes that are going on like smashing grabs, and what have you and very high end neighborhoods, we might add that's also the same places that we're seeing a lot of asian hate being reported new york city and san francisco. so i don't, i don't think there's any way that you can decouple the to logically, if you don't craft down on the small crimes, these greater crimes,
10:40 pm
such as hate crimes, where people are, for example being pushed to their death from a subway platform. these things are going to happen, and one more thing i'll throw out there about that is, i think, because right now we're in the middle of a pandemic. the 2nd year in i think people's nerves are afraid. and this is causing a lot of anger and hatred. towards one another for whether it's race or, or anything else. and i think a lot of people need to kind of take a 2nd. and remember that we're all going through this and that you've got to keep your eyes and ears and wits about you. yeah, and i mean, steve brought up a really good point that people actually voted for a new york mayor who was a former police officer. and so when i, what do you think this move from the new york da is also an injustice to the victim . and her family, i could only imagine her family would be so offended by the da, just being basically soft on crime. i can't, we know that they're going to prosecute this particular homeless man who did killed
10:41 pm
their daughter. but what does that do for all the other asian folks? if you're gonna label this an asian hate crime as they're starting to do? what does that do to all the other people that have to survive the people that have been kicked in the head, you know, punched in the stomach, slashed in the face. what does that say to those people and what does it say to the perpetrators that what they can get away with that? yeah, it's really tough. thank you so much for your insight. you can catch manila every week, day on in question, starting at noon, eastern time, and steve, every friday at 630. thank you so much. and coming up, as the pandemic continues to wear on many a new studies suggest the crone of iris isn't all people are sick of politics is also importantly topping the list. we'll discuss with our $360.00 panel after the break. stay with
10:42 pm
10:44 pm
former president donald trump speaking at an event in arizona that summer sane sounded much like a campaign speech. the former president, blaming a bite in for the current current of our situation, st. hospitals are hating new record highs. trump also saying he ran twice and one twice, doing even better at the 2nd time with 12000000 more votes. so we all knew that joe biden would be not so good, but few could have imagined that he would be such a disaster for this country. what they've done, inflation is the worst, has been in for 2 years. dest prices are up 50 percent. the grocery shelves, a department store shelves, they are empty. and for more on this and all things politics, we turn to our 360 panel. let's welcome and robert patello, radio host and civil rights attorney and brock, lori, a federal and international attorney. thanks so much for joining us today,
10:45 pm
gentlemen. license. awesome. and so i just so much with you. what are your thoughts about from arizona rally over the weekend? do you think he's i ain't another presidential run very much like he's so right on it. there will be they will in fact be pursuing this, this presidential run. i think you understand that people really rally behind them literally and figuratively. 12000000 more votes is told in more votes when i, when he ran 2060 and he was a just the anti clinton to vote. and that was enough for me to vote for him and many others to vote for him. but at this point, there's a positive energy he's considered the president that was so effective in my mind, the most effective president we've ever had. and certainly compared to biden, i think they miss him tremendously and he knows it and he wants to run. and robert, what about you, do you think most republicans still support trump as they did during his presidency?
10:46 pm
i don't, i think we've seen we're seeing clear schism and the republican party between the as the mag, i call them the rhino lingo, the party, the traditional republicans, kinsley derby, list chaney wing. mitch mcconnell mitt romney types of republicans and then the mag window. the party, which are a little further out there to the far right. and i think if you look at what's going on the credit for to right now, you have so many negative stories with the body administration. lo hold up unable to feel much to build back better plan, i'm able to do voting rights. and just when you think things are going. busy their worst here rights and president trump to remind everybody why president are biting what you let today. return to normalcy. not having name, not heavily wild, and his reality reality. so really, the only thing that can really help me by demonstration right now is poster did the of, through may actually be president trump, we're merging to the national state. that's so interesting. and now, according to when you study from the university of nebraska,
10:47 pm
for in 10 people sight politics as a top stressor and their lives. so they said he claims that politics is a reason that some are losing sleep, ruining their personal relationships, and even some reported suicidal feelings. and in regard to politics. so robert, do you think the study is being overly dramatic? or are people simply find out about the divisions among the left and right, and even what you mentioned, divisions within their own parties? well, i think it's this showed what has happened to politics over the last 3030 years. it's become completely calcified. there was a point in time where supreme court nominee would get approved 99 to nothing during the confirmation cabinet position were 9899 to nothing. you would actually have a fit that was the solution being able to move through. now we've gotten to a point where even the american people support something like 607080 percent and poli you can, we get a vote on it on the senate floor where it seems the government completely enable, ineffective in solving the problems of our country. and that's what so many people
10:48 pm
become disillusioned and checked out from the political system. and that causes this level stress. this whole angrily exists in the country. and i hope the somebody on either side of the aisle can find out how to be a uniter, not a divider to stop having a live in our own separate realities and silo information and try to bring the come together bracket. i don't think that there's any truth to this any no, i don't think there is meaningful truth to it. people decide to be polarized or feel depressed for their own reasons. and politics. that's something they want to grab on to. that's their business, i suppose. but the reality is that biden is doing the divisions for the american country all by himself. i with there's a highly dubious election that happened in november 2020. it's very suspect in many ways that of course, the way you handle cove it in the mandates. and then there's a demand to ramrod, this trillion dollar spending bill to stand up in the voting rights bill and all the crime situation and the inflation them, of course, the supply chain issues. these are big deals and he's dividing the country so and
10:49 pm
then he claims that the countries divided. well, i mean, he's only has himself to look at when trump was president. the sort of divisions didn't really exist, at least from the economy point of view. people were very happy with what was going on. there was a massive increase in interest and conservatism and american economy. they could probably grab on to whatever they could in terms of the tweets and his personality made trouble. but that was not enough. this is far worse, i'd rather take the tweets any day of the week, then stagflation, this supply chain issue, that sorta cove a situation that he's not taking care of. and of course, all the mandate. so supposing upon this, this is, this is not the way to go, and i think that his divisions is only at his own doorstep. well, it's a great point that yes, we do have control over our own lives and we shan't necessarily blame it on, you know, politics at republicans in virginia, governor glen young, can find 11 executive orders within hours of his inauguration on saturday. and one
10:50 pm
of those matters involved, critical race theory being taught in local schools, the new governor saying that he wanted to and what he called the device of concepts including critical race theory. robert, what is your take on that? oh, there's a part of what i mean when i say we don't live in a shared reality. wanting to talk to virginia about what they want done in education. bringing the digital divide, ensuring that students have access to up to the technology and information. and when it comes to schooling, ensuring that we live in a rural area to have broadband. so the children, if they do end up having to learn from home, have the same access to school students in big cities, cleaning up the water, waterways of the state to insure it if you're a hunter or fisherman that you will preserve for ginia for the future what are republicans want to talk about? something is not even being taught in schools. they live in these alternative reality, or actual problems are simply fantasy and they get to make up things to be upset about. and that's what many things that we've already talked about. that's why so even sign executive order on it because it doesn't do anything with addressing
10:51 pm
something it doesn't exist. and until we can get that to we shared reality is one of the very difficult to have compromise and to have a couple of slides and needed. wow, it's real problems in america. brock. do you think that the new governor is following what his constituents asked for or do you think he's any way out of line here? well he's, he's actually on in line with what he was teaching, but i want to dress for robert to set, talk about fictions. i mean, on the one hand, you got to do this cove at this notion that everyone is going to be destroyed. if we don't have some sort of new intellect mandate and post upon us. and then of course, it's the global warming phenomenon that somehow we're all going to die because we're all in charge of responsible for the, at the climate. and then that there is this massive white supremacy happening in this country, which it's not so, you know, these are fiction. see, so the real fictions that are there really stressing our country. the c r t that we're talking about is something that is being taught in many different states and it's a big concern. and individual teachers are teaching these and they're getting way
10:52 pm
with it and they shouldn't be taught. this is an anti american agenda and it needs to stop. so that's why young can ran on this campaign and he won on this campaign and he's acting consistently with fighting this campaign campaign he did. in fact, around that some gentleman, unfortunately were out of time of patillo and brock. laurie, we thank you so much. after galle maxwell has been sent, hans reports indicate she will no longer fight to keep those names of those involved in the scandals. private. this comes after a case against prince, andrew will move forward. his alleged victim has come out publicly and is also asking the names of at least 7 men, b and a comment on that. you won't be silent. i've been out outspoken. he knows what he has done and he can attest to that. so no word yet on. if those names will be reveal that decision will be made by the judge
10:53 pm
presiding over the case. and for more we bring in a j pallet guard managing attorney at palo gar law. thank you so much for coming on the show today. a j. i sammy me. for now, do these near report surprises that maxwell will not fight to keep the names of these john doe's. busy private all natasha really doesn't. at this point i'm, since she's already been found guilty. my think what are you areas cooperate with the prosecutor to try to mitigate and now ha, as the case against prince andrew is now moving forward. there are also rumors that maxwell and the duke of york and dated at some point with this change, anything or just be another twist in this ongoing saga. you know, it's all, it's all leading to this same proposition here and i think it would be incredibly interesting. yeah, potentially maxwell is called as
10:54 pm
a witness for the prosecutor against. exactly, if that case does go to properties, happens like, well, i'm so the fact that she's trying to establish a relationship approximately with prince andrew clearly shows she's got a lot to gain by cooperating air. so i'm curious how it plays out. i don't think prince andrew space is going to go to try think that's in the saddle. ultimately, he's got too much to lose, to walk around because too much to lose ominous and nobody's interests to litigate a civil case. when you have such a high profile family involved. i'm so miss maxwell, i don't think she has anything to lose by doing whatever she can cooperate with the prosecutor in the states and mitigate her sentences much. awesome. yeah, interesting. and a former world, a protection officer said that maxwell entered an accident the palace at will. so does this surprise you at all given the fact that she's, you know,
10:55 pm
willing to disclose and speak at this point. it just goes back again to that relationship back to that then. so you know more for a connection between the 2 than the general public knows, or maybe even the, the prosecutor goes. and so on. the fact that she was, you know, walking in to his voicemail establishment. i'm had the, you know, ultimate access to the family, potentially through epstein could only bring in these other individuals. and i think it doesn't surprise me that she's cooperating in any aspect. and like i said, she has an offer which is yeah. and it was reported last week that the 61 year old prince will be stripped of his royal and military titles. and this all comes as other i'd tid, bits of information are coming out about him, including the allegation than he wound when police scream,
10:56 pm
if maids mess up his teddy bear collection, do you think this kind of information is getting linked out to show a flaw in his character before the case could something like this. give the jury a preconceived notion about the duke of york. all there's a great question um and again we're still very far away from an actual civil trial there in prince andrew's case. and so, um, if it did get to that point, which i don't think it will because of the hispanic litigation involved, i think that the jury selection process is going to weed out any of those prospective jurors that have any biases or pre conceived notions of and prince andrew, that's going to be the java and the prosecutor and the defense. they want to take the winning cherry for each side. and in a case like this, because it's so high profile as, as it is with any high profile case. the jury selection process is going to be the most important thing to eliminate any of these preconceived ideas against tom,
10:57 pm
prince andrew or against the prosecution for going after prince andrew. and now process is going to last a long time. again, i don't think it's going to go that far, given the fact that there's too much at stake here for the role family. but if it did it, there's going to be a lot of scrutiny over the jury selection process. and that's going to weed out all the bad eggs that have any preconceived notions against prince andrew. sure. so you really see them settling and that doesn't make them appear to be admitting fault at all. if they do that. yeah, well i think it's going to be a confidential out of court settlement because it's a civil case. you can, you can do that. you know, it's not about punishment. it's not about going to jail is not about going to president. oh, going, getting on probation will facing any sort of criminal prosecution. it's more about money and, and i do see that this case potentially settling out of court with some sort of confidentiality agreement. so the media just has no idea or doesn't get wind if
10:58 pm
what really happened with the settlement. because a full blown trial is going to leak out a lot of information about the role of family. and that i don't see how that is going to be beneficial in a case why you thought the defendant involved? yeah. make sense? ain't a palo gar. thank you so much for your time. while we are out of time for news. 247. be sure to download the portable to be app where you can keep up with current and past episode. thank you so much for watching and have a great week. ah, i believe the corporate parasites empowered a day might think their control will continue forever. whether they're right or wrong, we have to keep fighting western moon. ah, they're immediately important to us intelligence warns of
10:59 pm
a russian false flag operation to provoke an invasion of ukraine to those of us who are skeptical this sure sounds like still another weapons of mass destruction. conspiracy theory also how bad things get think we'll put it up on this particular coordinate, the liberties, keith, the global push and push it if i heard of it, but there was somebody, somebody put up a few minutes that it was 3 to what i still love with it at the but i booked with loaner vehicle me in your school. thank you. believe about it will give you hope, all right, from what you what would be if you feel about this last hour a you were coiled like it, but here for pretty weaker from a brush up for dr. gardinia bruise.

ah, good protest erupt in europe as countries a ratchet up new restrictions making the lives of vaccine hesitant people ever more complicated. as scientists predict, omicron will rapidly become the dominant strain of covert globally. this year, the world health organization tells us medics will get little relief in time weeks . it is equivalent to increase the number of sessions around the world. and as we see a communist area. so the sheer number of infections will bring a lot of people to hospitals ahead of the 2022 us mid term elections. a news.
