5:30 pm
ah la everyone, let's take a look at the days menu to see what we're serving up on this updated tuesday edition of eat, the press. i have no doubt that president bowden made his decision to ruthlessly attack ukraine only after watching the pathetic withdrawal from afghanistan and wait until you hear what else donald trump said last weekend, and how the media chose to cover it will show you. he was at the capital on january 6th and was recently sentenced to probation, but a lot happened in between and walk away campaign founder brandon struck up. we'll be here to tell us about it. the supreme court will hear a case that could spell the end for affirmative action, and the media can take it will explain it all. this country hates us. this country hates black people, and we'll show you why this outrageously ridiculous statement was made on. where
5:31 pm
else m s n b c. i'm c balls were, let's say the press o. d. louis you think of by ladies and gentlemen, the ukrainian chorus duke of new york. oh ah count mckinnon. incessantly strong, introducing a ukrainian folk, horace and the cold open to last saturday's saturday night live. a perfect way to begin the show. ah
5:32 pm
oh . and also a perfect way to begin this appetizer. now take a look at this. it's a retweet by the account of u. s. defense secretary lloyd j austin on monday, seeming to support what was on the screenshot from one of tucker carlson's pre invasion episodes. potent just wants to keep his western border secure. the pentagon quickly claimed the retweet was a fat finger mistake made by one of the department social media guys. one of their social media guys, was the moron fired. how many of these fat fingered freaks are there? what if one of their social media guys with access to the account of the secretary of defense, uses fat fingers to tweet out something coldly for nuclear war and port, and saw how the, how can this happen? social media can be extremely dangerous at
5:33 pm
a time like this. we need answers and safeguards. yesterday, reporters asked me if i thought president putin was smart. i said, of course, he's smart to which i was greeted with old at church a terrible thing to say. donald trump speaking saturday at c pack, the conservative political action conference in orlando, florida about the griffith received for calling russian president, putin smart. and the genius trader, many on the left rushed in. the problem is not that hootin is smart, which of course he's smart, but the real problem is that our leaders are dumb. so now look at the headline on this media. i'd story that includes the video of trump speaking it c pack. trump says putin is smart, our leaders are dumb, which he did say, but listen, play so far allowed him to get away with this travesty and assault and humanity is
5:34 pm
what it is. this is an assault on humanity. so said, oh it's, i guess the headline writer didn't hear that part or maybe he or she has an agenda . oh, i said he or she, excuse me. in fact, the washington examiner was one of less than a handful of news outlets that i could actually find that put it all in context. why am i not surprised? ah much more on trump speech to see pac on my give me 5 segment which will be up to morrow, exclusively on the portable tv app. the president is approaching instead of the unit, a pretty difficult political position right now. 37 percent approval rating. democrats trailing badly in the mid term polling majority in our recent pull out this morning . even question, the president's mental capacity. how is he going to turn that around on tuesday night? and how much has stated you to be changed by this war in ukraine?
5:35 pm
now white house spokesman gen saki on a b c this week on sunday. take a look at this media headline, a different one from the one we showed you before. it says, watch stephanopoulos confront saki on poll. finding most americans don't think biden has the mental sharpness for office. well, stephanopoulos mentioned that in his question, but he diluted it with other poll findings, allowing saki to brush over it, which as media notes, she did never commenting on the mentally unfit finding, which, by the way, showed that 54 percent of those polled in a new a b, c, washington post paul, believe the president lacks the mental sharpness to govern effectively 54 percent. that should have been the 1st and loudest number that stephanopoulos gave to saki, and he didn't mention it. why? because he never expected the findings to be addressed by saki, and he probably never wanted it to be addressed by saki. if he did,
5:36 pm
he would have pressed her on it after she avoided it. 54 percent, and stephanopoulos didn't follow up outrageous. but par for the course in europe, we're talking about $5000000.00 people that are going to be displayed. yeah, i mean it's, it's heartbreaking to hear what is going to happen now. i'm scared of what's going to happen in western europe. tell. yeah. you know, you're just, you plan a trap, you want to go there. i want to go to italy for 4 years. i haven't been able to make it because of, of the pandemic. and now this so the dumbest woman on television, the views joy bay har has a problem with what's going on in ukraine. and it's that it's keeping her from visiting italy. if that doesn't tell you who and what she is, nothing will take a look at this. it was written on january 26. i have not spoken to my twitter
5:37 pm
audience in an entire year. please read my statement below. and from the top of that statement, i hardly know where to begin. one year ago, an f b i swat team came into my home, put me in handcuffs, and put me in a concrete self for several days. this was the beginning of what is turned into a year long nightmare fraught with miss truce misinformation abuse of legal process and a savage campaign to destroy me. it didn't. and joining me now is the man who wrote that and much more. he's walk away, campaign founder brandon struck a brandon, thank you for joining us. so good to see you. it's such a crazy time. let me, let me start the tweet that tweak went out 2 days after you were sentenced to 3 years probation, and 3 months of home detention for your actions involving january 6th. you pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct. there's also a $5000.00 fine. there's a lot of, of, of what i would like to get to with you in this limited amount of time that we have . so you spoke at the stop the steel rally on january 5th. you never entered the
5:38 pm
capital on the 6th, but you did say some things that you know could be interpreted as encouraging others to do the wrong thing. overall, you believe you were treated unfairly tell us why? well, what i'm saying is that the, the, my number one message here through this entire thing is that the, the whole story and narrative of january 6th is missing an enormous amount of context and nuance. and i actually to be clear, think that that's a complete and utter failure of the conservative media, not the liberal media. so i, it appears to be my job singlehandedly to take on this responsibility that the conservative media is not willing to do and create this nuance and context. and 1st of all, explain to the american people or to the people of the world that i was on the east side of the capitol on january 6th. there are 4 sides to this building, the west, north, south and east side. so the majority of the violence that people are used to seeing when they turn on m. s and b,
5:39 pm
c and c n n and all of the left wing news outlets is agree just violence that was taking place on the west side of the building during a contained period of time. now people have been arrested who are on the north, south and east sides who had no idea that that violence was taking place whatsoever . i never went inside the capital on january 6th. i stood outside on the east side for 8 minutes. as 2 doors were open, when i arrived at the capital, the doors were open. there were no police officers outside telling people not to come in. and i shot a video for 8 minutes for that, i was rated by the f. b, i put in jail and went through a year long nightmare which ended up resulting in a misdemeanor charge for disorderly conduct that tore my life apart. right. and, and of course the government argued for a stricter sentence than you got. they said that you are a social media influencer. you, you tweeted to over 600000 followers saying that the patriots should hold the line during the riot. uh, but your attorney said they were going to make an example of you, a trump supporting influencer, claiming that you had responsibility for the riot,
5:40 pm
but charging the you as you said, with only a misdemeanor trying to have it both ways and effect. right. okay. but i didn't say for anyone to hold the line during a riot. again, it's about nuance and context. when i left the east side of the capital on january 6th, there was a crowd of thousands of people singing songs, holding signs, people at karaoke machines. honestly, it looked a lot like woodstock when i left the the scene. i didn't witness anything that took place on the west side. so when i wrote the light, the tweet saying, patriots hold the line. what i was saying was for the people who are there peacefully demonstrating, keep the message going. keep this going on. and on about 2 hours after i wrote that text, i began to see footage on the news of what had happened on the west side of the building. people scaling walls, breaking windows go, you aren't aware of him. you aren't aware of that at the time that you wrote it. great. not at all, and i were to tweet down immediately when i saw those images. okay, fair enough. okay, now,
5:41 pm
quickly you say conservative media has failed to tell your story as you just did or in a greater, greater context. anybody's story. i attended a support group a couple of days ago for families whose lives have been turned torn apart. their children have not seen their parents, and over a year there are one man, 5 people from his family were rounded up and taken away, his children and his spouse, he hasn't seen them in over a year. these stories are not being told while the conservative media is fixating on things like whose re ups and did the f b, i set up january 6. there are people like myself who are charged with non violent misdemeanor charges. our lives are being torn apart, were being put on terrorism watch lists. and nobody's interested in telling this story. i put out a press release weeks ago to hundreds of conservative outlets. and about 5 people contacted me and said they were interested in telling the story. it's a disgrace. well we, we were one. i was one of okay. they are rebuilding the fence. you. you're welcome
5:42 pm
. they're rebuilding the fence brenda around the capitol that went up after the january 6 riots in anticipation of truckers protesting like what we saw in ottawa for next tuesday state of the union. the national guard will also be out in force justified in your opinion and, and what do you expect to happen on, on the night of the state of the union are leading up to it? look, i think that we should always be protecting ourself from political violence. i, i, you know, i think that the great irony of all of this, that most of the american people would agree is that we saw left doing violence running rampant and completely out of control for years. and nothing was done about it. leveling politicians actually sent money in many cases to bail out protesters. so let's not pretend like violence is only coming from one side of the political aisle. and in fact, i've attended many, many events or protests over the years. i have never seen right. wingers become violent or get out of control. january 6th was an anomaly. that being said, it's always
5:43 pm
a good idea to take every safety measure of possible to ensure that people don't get hurt and political violence doesn't to rock. it's never ok, but let's not politicize it. and pretend like there's only one side of the aisle that ever engages in this kind of behavior. we walked language violence out of control for years. i couldn't agree with you more. you took my next question. i mean, we're from the that the george florrie, a post george floyd riots at and t for continuing and, and everything that's gone on. it is outrageous so that the media loves those. and, and everybody who's a conservative is a terrorist. take a look at this. take a look at this, brian, i can't even go down there for donald. i'm really don't, right now, if you don't leave right now, you will be arrested. you understand me. we're phone. i get out of here, police in ottawa, emergency powers arrest bank accounts closed. although trudeau as relinquished his emergency powers for now at least, is this where brandon, we are heading in this country for those on the,
5:44 pm
on the right who protest that is or who are political in any way. steve, it's happening already. the story is just not being covered. i have been permanently banned from being able to use paypal, venmo, stripe patriot. i had all of my donor portal shut down for my organizations. i have been banned from using email services over a non violent misdemeanor charged for being outside of the capital. if this story was being told, people would know it's already here. it's already happening in this country right now, and it's just going to get worse and worse and worse. i hope we start covering these stories. well, uh brandon, it, you're speaking out and i appreciate you coming on and speaking out here with us. and uh, hopefully the word is, is certainly getting out at more and more and, and we'll continue to do so cuz we are headed up for worse times. and, and it's, it's, it, like you said more conservatives, politicians and the media have to really speak up. you're absolutely right,
5:45 pm
brendan, thing, 100 percent, a web, a website where people could find out more about should help you out. sure. if anybody wants to find out about my legal case, they can go to brandon struck dot com if they find, want to find out more about my organization and the great work we're going to be doing in the coming years. walk away campaign dot com. and i no longer go to media hard time today, steve, but i want to let you know, i appreciate you. thank you very much. thank you very much. right. nice meeting. brandon? take care. all right, folks could affirmative action be on its way out. finally, the u. s supreme court will hear a case later on this term involving admissions at harvard. and the media is running scared. we'll have that add more. next time. in may of 2021. the remains of a 20 ton chunk of a chinese rocket came crashing into earth. it got me thinking, just how much stuff is up there. now, did it get there?
5:46 pm
and do i really need to also be worried that some piece of space dupree could fall out of the sky about big a problem is this. i wanted schachter and i don't understand. oh, available on the ira t america and portable tv ah, the conservative majority supreme court has agreed to hear a challenge to the consideration of race and college emissions, to lawsuits accused harvard university and the university of north carolina of discriminating against asian american applicants in an effort to promote diversity, while a decision against the schools could mean the end of affirmative action in college
5:47 pm
admissions, pete williams is here. and pete, why is the court's decision to hear the case raising alarms? because this is the most serious threat and decades lester, to considering a student's race and admissions raising alarm serious threat. the media panicking over the possibility that whites and asians will be treated fairly during the college admissions process. and that skin color will no longer be an advantage. kenny jew is a commentator author of a great new book, an inconvenient normandy, the attack on asian american excellence and the fight fer meritocracy. he is the president also of color us united, which advocates for a color blind society. kenny, welcome to the show. so i'm glad we were finally able to do this. let's start with the cases that the u. s. supreme court has decided the here in the one that you've been with since the beginning, and that's students for fair admissions versus harvard. tell us what has been going on at harvard and a lower court upheld the status quo. did it not?
5:48 pm
yeah, harvard has been incentivizing racial victim hood over objective merit. that's what you need to know at harvard university today, an asian american has to score 440 points higher on the s a t just to have the same chance of admission as a black person. and a 150 points higher to have the same chance with mission as a white person. so what harvard has been doing and what other colleges, of course, the entire united states been, has been doing as well, which is why the supreme court case exists is creating a racial hierarchy. that puts asians at the bottom. why? because they don't want to. many asians at the university because otherwise asian americans would make up 43 percent of their university. i mean that is it the whole thing that's going on and has been going on. it is scary and it's not getting better. it's getting worse let, but let's let, let's go and in order here and,
5:49 pm
and back in december, while the court was deciding whether or not to take this case the by the administration filed a brief urging them to let the lower court ruling stand and decline the case, and i'm sure that that probably came as no surprise to you. i'm, am i correct? yes, no surprise to me, you know, we like to think, you know, the mainstream media likes to say the democrats are the party of minorities. well, not when it comes to affirmative action, that's for sure. in fact, there is a resolution that was attempted to be passed last year. that was brought up by senator ted cruz to ban federal funding from universities of discriminate against asians. ready guess why? 48 republicans voted for that bill. 47 democrats voted against that bill in the senate. meaning that democrats want discrimination. they want the discrimination against asian americans because they view asians as lower on their racial hierarchy
5:50 pm
than black americans and latino americans think he also think and this is not an excuse, but do you think they are warped mines? ah, it's a political calculation and, and i'm not, you could tell me better than i know. unfortunately, for myself, the percentage of asians in the population and in the voting population, i would assume is much lower certainly than latino and even than, than black american. so that does that enter into it? do you believe? well, if it's a political calculation, it's a bad one because what they're doing, what democrats have been doing to asian americans over the past 2 years, not even the past 4 years past 2 years in been driving asian americans away from their party. and that could be the difference between a last election and 2024 and a in a want election in 2024. good point. yeah, you just are all point it. you just saw in san francisco a,
5:51 pm
a group of chinese americans who many of whom are democrats, just recalled, 3 school board members in san francisco over their treatment of asians in the admissions process for their prestigious high school, low high school. and as i argued in my book, an inconvenient minority, an asian american awakening is occurring here, steve and america, people, ordinary chinese, asian americans are rising up and saying, no, you just want to be treated as equal citizen. yep. we want to be treated by our merits, not by race right now. now that kenny, as we've did, as i alluded to early, this issue getting worse and worse. it goes beyond college admissions. in new york city form a male bill de blasio on his way out the door last year he put a plan into effect that would an gifted and talented education programs in the public schools. because of the claim that they promote segregation when in fact they reward kids who have the best grades. and usually a lot of those kids are asian americans. isn't this just another attack on that
5:52 pm
population? exactly, and i was just talking with a parent to day who's who told me that schools across the, in the entire country of america have been closing, their gifted and talented programs. they've been close in a gift and talented programs. why? because of equity. that's their justification. because they said these schools admit to many white people and to many asian people. by the way, a lot of these white people are jewish people and, and met too many white people are too many asian people, not enough blacks and not enough hispanics. that's why they're closing these gifted and talented programs. when they don't understand is that these parents who want their kids to get into these gifted and talented programs are doing it because they love their children are often poor. they often don't have social connections. a lot of asian american c education as their way up and out of society, out of poverty out of china,
5:53 pm
towns. and they view these schools as central to having them achieve generational economic opportunity. so when these people are eliminating these gifted and talented programs, what they are really doing is they're eliminating the pathways of success of so many immigrants actually are good today really is really, is horrific. i want you to watch this from k g o in san francisco. that's it. backing up their words, san jose police made 6 arrests in september after an extensive investigation. these men have been linked to at least $170.00 incidence of robbery, theft and burglary. that targeted members of the a p i community. that was a local story. it did not get national attention last year. i maintain because the perpetrators, they don't fit the media narrative they, they prefer white trump supporters. and that's the lie that the media perpetuates, that the attacks on asian americans are by, by, you know, white supremacists, ah, those guys didn't look like it in new york. there's a 1000000 videos that,
5:54 pm
that they, they don't look like it, what's going on? sure. so the stop asian hand movement last year predicated it's case off of this idea. the asians are being attacked by white supremacy and white supremacists. the facts shown that simply isn't true in 2018. the latest date that we have, asians were attacked 28 percent by black americans, 25 percent by whites. and you know, the rest are latinos and asians. so it's not whites, it's not white supremacists that are primarily attacking asian americans. we have to make this a more nuanced discussion. sadly, once the media figured this out, and they realized that a lot of these and inner cities who are attacking asians are not white supremacist, they shut up and they stopped with that narrative. and as you can see of yeah, summer that whole story basically died. absolutely, absolutely. and, and unfortunately, they don't cover it as much as they would had had that narrative continued. hey,
5:55 pm
kenny, great to talk to you. keep up the fight with the harvard case of sure. we'll talk to you again as that case progresses. thank you very much and hope everybody picks up the book. thank you. joy. this country hates us. this country hates black people. we know we talk about, we joke about, we know we know what we're up against. but some times that hatred that this country has for us really comes out and just takes your breath away. just grabs you by the neck and just takes your breath away. america hates black people says emma's nbc contributed eli miss stall this after former police officer, kim potter, who is white, was sentenced to 24 months last friday from mistakingly, pulling her gun, thinking it was her taser, which resulted in the killing of dante right. ah, a black man, of course, during a traffic stop. last april in brooklyn center in minnesota. an sedate judge
5:56 pm
regina chew was that hatred that icy hatred around our throat. she was a spit in our face. today. just out range is garbage and as i'll discuss in a moment, possibly very dangerous. somebody needs the answer. me why she got 2 years. of course we all know why she got 2 years because she was lying. why? that's why she got 2 years and not the 6 to 8 years that her crime cried out for because she's a crying white woman. that's why she got the set and she got. well, she did cry. potter gave a tear filled apology to rights, family. stand mother's love, i'm sorry, but this is why she received the sentence. she never intended to hurt any.
5:57 pm
her contact cries out for her sentence significantly belong an emotional hennepin county, minnesota judge regina chu, explaining why she gave potter the sentence that she gave or not because she's a crime white woman. it's up because the judge hates blacks. and by the way, with hate crimes against asian americans on the rise, as we discussed in the previous segment, claiming that judge chew, who is asian american hates blacks is not only responsible but might turn out to be very dangerous. shame on miss stall, joy read and of course that dump known as emma nbc for allowing more racial hatred to be spewed at will. e nough. and that's our show for today. folks. be sure to check out see time with steve. and my give me 5 features as well as episodes of the press on demand exclusively on the portable tv app. download it now from your app store, and don't forget to head over to my new website, which is still
5:58 pm
a work in progress. steve m talk that. com. stay curious. stay on. great. i'm see balls very go see a next. i righty. i need the breath. martin . dwayne said it's easier to fool people than to convince them they've been fools. that could be why america is so divided. because people have been fed fake news paid for by corporate interests. they beat you down until you believe their fairy tales. well, here's a story. boy, it's called a big and it's full of facts, not fiction. with
