ah, ah, as the energy crisis adjusts, went from bad to worse with the conflict and critic republicans and democrats have a different ideas to solve the problem. drill, baby drill is the chance coming from conservatives. while democrats hope for new vote, renewable energy is going to be the cure, but are either realistic. well, we're going to discuss. meanwhile, the president of the united states delivers his 1st state of the union address with the ongoing conflict at the top of his agenda. but this is not the only foreign conflict president biden had been dealt with in his 1st year in office. we're going to bring you the highlight from biden's 1st year, both at home and abroad. plus he can't make everyone happy and a convoy of truckers and protesters are supposed to be in dc withholds. the president doesn't forget the domestic troubles americans are facing. we're gonna report from the freedom convoy which is now parked here in washington,

dc. i'm the guy now huge these stories plus more in today's news view to use a broadcasting for our headquarters in washington dc. let's get started with thank you so much for joining us. you know, there's been at pierce battles being reported within ukraine, while hundreds of thousands of its citizens attempted to flee the violence. we also saw explosions taking out ukrainian television stations etiquette. and that in ask people's republic. a civilians are trying to survive all the conflict zone as cities and towns are caught between the front lines. the local residents are terrified as they have been living with the threats of these bombings for 8 years or to correspond me right guys. d, f reports. the sound of war is deafening,

the u. k. and the you have countries of the west reconsidering their dependence on oil and natural gas. now germany has announced plans to switch to nearly 100 percent renewable energy by 2035, 2035 as it rushes military operation. ukraine puts new scrutiny on europe's reliance on moscow to meet its fuel needs. now russia is also currently the u. s. as the top source of imported gasoline, i want to welcome in todd bubble har, which i've been trying to share in his insights. 02035. you know, that's just around the corner. but let's just going to make all these great plans for renewable energy for 2035. gin talk you said the u. s. should follow europe's example during an interview on a b c's this week. let's take a listen. and president biden's view is the fact that we need to reduce our dependence on foreign oil on oil in general, a need to and we need to look at other ways of process having energy in our country and others. one of the interesting things george we've seen over the last week or
6:05 pm
so is that a number of european countries are recognizing they need to reduce their own reliance on russian oil. okay, we did have energy independence here in the united states as of a year ago. what changed and do you think jen? saki has a sound approach to renewable energy that's going to solve all of our problems. so morrow this is kathy how you doing to read through back with you. i hope i'm alive and 2035, but i me, you know, look we, we have enough energy here we have right now without affecting the environment and you further of 300 year supply. so what changed? what changes that they wanted to get more of the lobbyist wanted to get more money out of saudi arabia. they want to get their cut and they don't care what is happening to the middle class. they don't care about the inflationary cycle. they have cause they don't care what is going on in this country, because they would rather give the power to russia, which are trying to take away. but there, i'll give you a certain amount of saudi arabia and china, the biggest winner out of all this is going to be china before it's done,
6:06 pm
because they're getting all the benefits from the strife in, in fighting. but this overall oil situation, we could solve this in 5 minutes for the 2nd, from the present, and go back and become a world net exporter and not being relying on russia or saudi arabia or iran, or iraq. and besides the fact that we get a big percent of our oil from janitor at different points of the year, well, and that's why to look at, i'm scratch my head on this bible because this idea of renewable energy. it's a great idea. but do you feel like the technology is able to handle the level that it's going to be expected of them if they want everyone to switch over from using gas and oil to electricity? not to mention actually the effects that electricity, the all of the the cars also have when they have to use energy to charge them. i do think the technology is even able to handle currently or the next in the near future. what is about to be asked of them? no, we're, we have 0 chance scotty. let's observe this where our power good is so far behind
6:07 pm
the times, like everything else. i mean, if we go back to new orleans to the or to hurricane katrina, the army corbin jurors told me, had to fix the 11th. okay. they did not. and of course we had a disaster. well, we know that the power grid is weak to begin with, and yet we are not doing any with it. but yet you're going to plug in all the electronic vehicles and all these things that revolve around electricity versus using oil. now again, where you can talk all you want about global warming, which i don't agree with. i think that if you look at in history or thousands of dollars a years, we go through the cycles all the time. number one, number 2, i, we, we cannot and are not going to be equipped for probably 40 years. they get this done and none of these projects on top of the house are shop. we're ready to go. so even if we get mate wave a magic wand tomorrow and say okay, we're going to be all, we're our renewable energy. we couldn't support it anyways. so what's the point of destroying america? we're waiting to get this ridiculous product off the ground. well, i think of things like the lender that end up being just one big corruption scandal
6:08 pm
to suppose a healthy environment. the environment was used in order to line the pockets of those cropped politicians. but you know, i want to move on to this because the rubel has stabilized aggregating record lows this week. obviously, because of everything going on in the face of sanctions. clearly the sanctions are impacting russia's economy to be expected. do you think green energy advocates are ex actually exploiting this ukranian situation? they're overstating this leverage of oil and gas that gives russia over the over the west just to produce their deal. i believe i believe you're probably more accurate than not. i think listen, 1st of all these sanctions are going to be something interesting to think about because russia has those components that will create fertilizer for american farms . and if they don't, we are, we're already paying enormous amounts for fertilizer. now with the inflationary cycle, and now we're not going to get some of the key components, which we did get from russia. number 2 rushers,

the 3rd largest producer in the world of wheat. ok. and if you remember william to not let them eat cake, well that's what's gonna happen here. if something else happened, i think the sanctions, and i think there's too much propaganda and rhetoric and too much rings spelled out from this administration. and i think it's a surprise you would think there was an election coming up soon because of all the sub that's going away, there is an election coming up soon. so i think this is more propaganda in b s than it is real facts that are happening. well, i think it gets a lot of people are talking points. in fact, even on both sides, al g up here, everything have august, a flogger from texas voice disagreement. he did voice with bite and stumbling down on this green energy. he's from texas allowed big oil country. he said the drilling domestically would actually help the u. s. to regain our dominance in the world stage, do you think returning to a status of net exporter of oil really would make a difference not only in our ability here at home, but also to impact the world affairs like what we saw underneath the trump administration. 100 percent, it would be better,
6:10 pm
we would be back to where we were. inflation would be back to normal rates. the fed wouldn't be pressured to kill the market. we're already in a re recession. okay. no matter what do you want to say wages are less than the cost and it didn't gosselin. and if we went back, the export would actually maybe pair of some of our debt and have the power in the control over saudi arabia and over china and over russia, because we wouldn't be the dominant player in right now. and we're still will be for a number of years, the most important, most dominant commodity that you have not to mention that we could be a big help to the, the europe and asia because they want liquid natural gas, which we are producing anymore. so high, they gotta get her from us. well, but there's been lots of battles and wars fought over the time with oil and gas and natural resources like that. being the motivation of it. once again, this could also be a part to play in here because nobody likes to lose power,
6:11 pm
but even more they don't like to lose money. but thanks for joining me on this valley. thank you so much. every day. so tuesday night will be jo biden's 1st state of the union and his state of the union address president biden will be attempting to reassure anxious americans that the country is strong. but his article respond natasha. sweet reports. this may be more of a challenge than he was expecting. that's why it's connie convincing. the american people may be more difficult, and the president anticipates many remain frustrated and simply exhausted over the to your pandemic. not to mention rising inflation and gas prices, as well as chaos exploding overseas. joe biden quit to criticize from our president trump while on the campaign trail back in 2020. anyone is responsible for that many dish should not remain as president of the united states of america and won't bite and spoke of united americans on inauguration day last year. his actions when your leader are in question of how this is america is day. this is

democracy's day, a day of history and hope of renaud and resolve from mass mandates to an attempted vaccine mandate. americans became more divided than ever. when it came to coven, and while much of the mainstream media was supportive of biden's policies, questions arose when he appointed vice president, kamala harris to oversee the plague in border issues, as searches of migrants came flooding to the u. s. border. however, she continued to not visit the border and only scheduled one after trump announced that he would be visiting the border with texas governor greg abbott. but the actual criticism for biden, from all sides of the aisle amped up over his decision to abruptly pull american troops from afghanistan, which resulted in a taliban takeover. it was timed and this war. and now some analysts say we can expect a more vocal precedent in the coming year, harvet avenue, choir conversations with members of congress for the last 2 months. i've talked to

mary quiet. biting also said his administration plans to fully support nieto territory. as i made crystal clear, the united states will defend every inch of nato territory with the full force of american power. and the good news is, native was more united and more determined than ever. but it is also expected to continue to push his stolt economic spending agenda and bell, his strategies for tackling inflation and crime, as well as honoring his pick and 1st black woman to be nominated to the supreme court at 79 years old, white and ranked as the oldest president of the united states long before his decision about afghanistan, critics abide and also questioned his mental fitness for office. a new poll from a b. c news and the washington post found that biden's approval rating had dropped to 41 percent most exciting their frustration with the economy reporting from los angeles and hottest suite r t. now foreign policy will be a highlight of tonight's state of the union address. here's alex

a hell of ej on what we might expect to hear. ah, the crisis in ukraine is being watched by the world. and with that in mind, many will be focusing on what president job whiting has to say about america's foreign policy history. during tonight's state of the union address, ukraine is expected to be at the top of the agenda. here's a preview of what some expect to hear from biden. this is us secretary of state entity blinking speaking at the united nations earlier today. a sent a resolute and unified message, the president should unconditionally stop the sample of the attack. as a secretary general, the high commissioner have done and immediately withdraw a russian forces from ukraine after holding a conference call with world leaders, including key needle figures yesterday. some believe president biden will also address the role of the alliance regarding the situation in ukraine. according to

natal, so far, organization members have stepped up their support to ukraine with security assistance, humanitarian and financial aid. however, there is a, pushed by some within the u. s. government for a more aggressive stance to be taken until now bite has been sticking to a strategy which includes a slew of sanctions against russia. and other foreign policy issue which may pop up is again a stand. many within the u. s. government have been critical of how the president handled the affair. president buttons, military advisors, warned that retreat would embolden terrorist in danger. loyal partners leave our intelligence capabilities in the region. badly handicapped, but about administration failed to have these warnings and presided over a disastrous withdrawal. and finally, there's a good chance that china will not be ignored, adding tension to the asia pacific region. today,

a delegation of former us defense officials traveled to taiwan china as voice its displeasure with the move your women function kit. if the u. s. takes it as an opportunity to embolden the taiwan independence for surgery. we would like to admonish it that this will only accelerate the destruction of the taiwan independence forces and the u. s. side. you'll pay a heavy price for it's risky. action will surely the according to the taiwan president's office, the american officials had been appointed by president joe biden. and that the visit would permit an in depth exchange of views on taiwan u. s. cooperation issues in various fields. with recent actions like this by the united states, the by an administration has shown that it has put diplomacy on the back burner. tonight state of the union address will hopefully be a shift towards a more balanced approach. when it comes to foreign policy. for news views, hughes and alex mileage. we're going to continue discuss this. so make sure you

washington dc from all over the united states in time for presidential biden's estate at the union address now in response to pentagon approved request to send sub 700 national guard members at various points all over dc. in preparation for the type of demonstration we saw on ottawa last month. meanwhile, however, protest did not go as advertised uh, back to boyd is live at freedom plaza, a couple blocks from the capital paxton, we had this conversation earlier, there was lots, i've seen lots of videos that have come from across the united states. there were talks of thousands of protesters actually showing up on the national mall today. so what is the scene actually look like? oh, well, here you see there was a lot of hype leading up to today's scheduled protests. but as you can see, ultimately it did not amount to much. now kyle septic was the rally organizer for freedom convoy usa 2022. they were making their way here to the capital on march
6:21 pm
1st. today for president biden's state of the union address now he had posted last week on twitter that he was expecting up to 3000 protesters the make their way here to d. c. and by the time he arrived at his schedule protests near the mat, national mall, there were about 10 people in attendance and more reporters and media members in attendance than actual rally goers of sept. tech was not happy about it. he told the crowd that was there in attendance that he was not pleased with the lack of turn out and wasn't happy with the truckers not showing up and quote, being about it even said that he actually lost money. setting up this event, doubts up, check, told the everyone in a crowd that not a single truck was, you know, here at the test. and there was talk last week that the goal was to actually shut down the beltway. and as you can see, not a single truck here in sight. now, there was protest scheduled to go on until about 8 pm today. he said he was going
6:22 pm
to go on with the scheduled events. but as you can see, not much doing down here near the capital while tax and i know even covering this and i, hey, thank you for standing out there. least this time. it's not snow around you and there's not, you know, horn honking in the background. and at least you get to come back home just by coming to block. so thanks packs and there's always that. okay, so let's discuss, been, we're joy, i've been swan live here in studio. what happened? well, i think a couple of things have happened. first of all, there is a large convoy of truckers and vehicles, not just big rigs, but also vehicles that are on their way to washington dc. so they're not here yet. i thought i'd have to get here by today. we're supposed to be here by today. they're not here. okay, so, so i've been following pretty closely their, their journey across the united states. there was a group that started in california. they are on their way, will they will they get here. they're supposed to be here in time for the state of the union, but they are on their way back. there's a lot of drone footage of them. and so there are thousands of cars that are out there about $1500000.00 has been res, so far to these groups. so who knows was gonna get her not here's,
6:23 pm
here's i think the problem that, that the calm voice out by the way, they're called the people's calling about how i give her freedom comp. i with canada. yeah. boys here in the us. yeah. they didn't want to be called the truckers . com for you, right? because they say they're bigger than just the truckers movement. oh, i think one of the things has happened quite candidly, is that there has been a reaction by the administration and by governors across the country who were very afraid of this movement coming here. and so just the idea of this movement was enough to cause some of these rollbacks of mask mandate. some of the rollbacks of vaccine mandates. you notice that's been happening in the last few weeks. it's been happened which didn't. right. i don't think it's coincidental and coincidental at all. i think it's because you see these governors saying we don't want to deal with the mess that was caused in canada. so we want to just start to, to ease off because if you ease off mandates, what happens all the sudden these truckers don't have something to protest anymore because the whole point of it is protesting mandates, right? which is interesting on this is how much the gas price is also played into this. me obviously the truckers are not very wealthy people. they don't have you probably
6:24 pm
huge bank accounts to setting up for them to be able to ride and not actually do their job. do you think that also pop, possibly paid played a role in my we don't see the massive trucks rolling, you know, candidly, i don't. i don't think it's so much about gas prices. i really think it's that there is a lack of momentum in terms of the subject matter right now. i think in canada, remember that the truckers come boy started because of a specific rule that had just gone into effect 2 weeks before in which those canadian truckers were told. either you get vaccinated or you don't work and that's what they responded to. so if, if the biden mandates that he had the osha that work around he tried to do if that had been upheld him and was sticking, we might see it. but the problem is none of that, none of that stuck, none of it held in because it hasn't held what technically would you be protesting at this point? we should, we protest the mass mandates and schools where they're letting all those they're left now that yeah, so i think that's what it is. there's not clarity on exactly what the cause is. okay, so let's talk about all the money that has been donated. like i said, one point there may know where is that going to go? now?
6:25 pm
that's always been a question. much concern meds is where does the money go? where does the money go and who and who gets it? do those get doesn't go to the lawyers who said anything up? does it go to the, the fundraising apparatus? there's a lot of questions about that. we don't really know. don't have answers to you as to where it goes. okay, so the d o j them preparation, they obviously thought this was a real world thought they brought in the national guard face officers that are at every exit ramp around dc, virginia, maryland. this is all to prevent the truckers from actually coming in downtown. obviously, blocking streets can be annoyance. not necessarily illegal. what do you think is what hostile proto, it's feasible progress. so what do you just think about the general tone that has been set for those right now? could that have also decided people knowing still any january sticks and how those folks been treated as well? so i know that there are a lot of people who have, who have messaged me, who have said they shouldn't do this. it's a trap, it's a set up, right? because january 6 was so upsetting in that you had a lot of people who came out to protest. you had agitators in that crowd. you have
6:26 pm
a lot of questions you and i've talked about this about some of the most vocal people like re ups and still hasn't been charged with anything right now as a year over a year later. and then folks who didn't even go to the capital or in jail in solitary confinement. and so you see certain people who were agitators, nothing's happened to them. certain people who didn't really do anything are sitting in a jail cell. and i think there is a lot of insecurity that that wasn't the case in canada, right? canadians hadn't seen that. i think canadians would probably rethink some of what they're doing. if they knew that the hammer was going to come down on them the way that it did, right, freezing bank accounts. some of the protesters leaders, they're being held without bond. there's no bond for them. they're just sitting in a gel, so not really facing charges garage or what the charges that they're facing. so there's, there's a lot of questions around it and look, you have to have a very clear focus. if you're going to ask people to take on something that really risks their personal freedom account, fragile freedom, taking care of their families. if you're asking them to do that, there has to be a very definitive purpose goal and victory outcome. i don't think that exists right
6:27 pm
now because again, listen, if you want to call it a victory called this victory, right? you said the main going to show up and they started lifting mandates. just a thread of it was enough to lift the mandates. will this have an effect on future protests out there that comes in the future? people say, well, this wasn't successful, there wasn't enough people here. yeah, i think i think we're going to have an effect. i think again it really comes down to whether or not those civil liberties are being trampled on or whether or not the rules are, are coming into place. but again, it hasn't happened. and so i think the fact that it doesn't materialize won't necessarily just waited in the future. i think what would be more likely due to the suede. it would be if you show up and then you get shut down and it goes badly like it, like i go right? yep. and take the dry man. now your job, it's night on the state of the union coverage because at the end of the show, let's continuous conversation on twitter at study and use hash tag team and be like i said tonight is our covers instead of union been fun. so i me align with great handle tuesday starting at 830 p. m. eastern we're going to cover by 2 feet are
