sanctions. here's what some of them had to say. i've always spoken directly and honestly to you, the russian people, let me say this, if you're able to listen, you russian, people are not for me as think it's prudence war, not the russians want should never make that generalization restrictive measures that we're taking a gauge to russia, government, and economics leads to board that we make a difference between the russian people and it, russian regime. we take these actions, not because we oppose the russian people. we do not john mark to get a geo political analyst. and former us marine says, no country should be punished as each nation has its own interest, their bullies,

and they can get away with us. but the thing and they think that they can make everybody fall in line. everybody take just global stance and make everybody you will america in need of bidding and it's not going to work with russia. they've already seen what sanctions have done. ok. they've already seen the sanctions don't work and the only people, the sanctions are truly hurting the people in the west. so russia has been doing a fantastic job riding out the sanctions. i don't think anybody needs to be punished because russia has its own interest in the united states has no business butting into the interests of the country so far away. the united states is interested in making money and wandering dirty money. any politician? there hasn't been democracy or free choice in america for a very long and now throughout the conflict in ukraine, the u. s. has provided key with information on key positions of russian military
9:10 pm
assets in the region. that's according to the new york times who site american officials, the report states that the real time intelligence has allowed to plan the counter offensive that allowed it to make gains in the northeast. in recent days, the unnamed officials that americans quote, constantly discuss with the ways that ukraine should blunt the russian advance in the countries east. joining me now to go further in depth on this is michael maloof, a former senior security policy analyst in the office of the u. s. secretary of defense, michael, it's great to have you on the program today. now let's start off with, we know that the u. s. officials claim that their intelligence plays a decisive role in the conflict and ukraine. now, given that these claims are attributed to us officials, do you think there is any way that the bible administration can still convince the
9:11 pm
public that is not involved in direct confrontation with russia? well, if they had better insight into what's happening, there's no way that they could deny this kind of activity. the united states is in a proxy war right now. and this was the last thing in the world that the american people need, given all the other internal problems that are happening in the u. s. and it just seems like we, we continuously have endless wars. but the by the administration sees ukraine not, not as a country that needs to be liberated in any way or protected by, by russia. but it's just a cog in a much larger picture of a much larger objective. and it's not ukraine, but, but to achieve what it once it has to provide,
9:12 pm
not only arms but intelligence, if the ukrainians will accept it. and it looks like if they're beginning to mount a, a more effective counter offensive. it appears as though they, they are. i know the ukrainians have been leary of providing a lot of information on their operational plans to take back certain regions and u. s. u s. intelligence seems to be providing that assistance and this is the only way they're going to be able to do their counter offensive is getting this kind of information. and the united states has techniques and ways of providing this information very rapidly, which allows now the ukrainians to make adjustments and then to strike more effectively where they believe they, they can make, make a difference in their,
9:13 pm
in their overall plans. now this, this is something that is, is, can be blunted. i think the russians are seeing what's happening, that because of this counter offensive, it means that the united states and the allies are going to have to provide more and more offensive assistance with artillery and, and the means more, a long range, howitzers and, and tanks and other means of, of launching offenses in the future. and that, i think we're going to probably, and i think the russians see what's going on. they're going to make their own adjustments. there are probably 2 areas where they can, but the in the united states has a means of effectively providing this intelligence very rapidly. they, it, it began in the bosnian war where we had what,
9:14 pm
what are called fusion centers. and the military intelligence people have have these and it is the they are able then to figure out within seconds based upon analysis, where the choke points really are and be able to make adjustments accordingly very, very rapidly. and this is the information they're providing to the ukrainians. and then as i say there are now because they still need to arm the ukrainians. and in addition to providing that information, it a counter offensive means that that arm shipment is gotta be sustained somehow. and we have in the united states and the allies are having increasing, trembles the ukrainians for themselves. don't have an infrastructure development for, for producing these kinds of weapons. they don't have the production. the united states has that kind of production, but it would have to go on
9:15 pm
a war footing itself. and then ipso facto the, the united states is engaged from, from a far and this is, but i don't think we can sustain it. we're already seeing problems that are going to be occurring here in the very near future in terms of consistent flow of, of arms. and as i say, there are 2 probably at least 2 areas where the russians can take effective action . as it really does seem as though those and less wars always need and less weapon supplies. now i want to get into it a little bit more in terms of the information that is being shared back and forth here. because the in the officials that were quoted and that new york times report, they said that you crania and forces avoided sharing their military plans not to highlight weaknesses and discouraged, continued american support. so what kind of partnership is that?
9:16 pm
well, i think they've made some necessary from their perspective, they've now made some they, they, they've probably have altered their, their approach in order to do a, a fact of counter offensive. you need the intelligence and this is what and i, it looks like the ukrainians have agreed to provide what those plans are. and then the information will flow in to the operators in, in ukraine and the commanders. again, these fusion centers are remarkable things say they, they were created primarily to assist the commanders in the field. when i, when i was at the defense department, we looked at the very same technologies to also provide assistance to the policy makers. so it can, so this type of information can be provided very rapidly, sometimes within seconds to not only the commanders,
9:17 pm
but the policy. and it looks like there seems to be a greater flow of information as a result. they need that it the ukrainians. now need that information in order to conduct their counter offensive. otherwise, how do you do your planning? and because the ukrainians don't have an internal means of effective type of intelligence gathering in near real time in order to make the adjustments and to undertake the offences. so they, the united states obviously, is providing where those choke points are in russian, where russian forces are deployed and, and, and where to be able to put the greatest amount and concentrate the greatest amount of force in very little time. and that appears to be what is occurring here. now timing is truly everything here. former pentagon official,

michael maloof. thank you so much for your time and analysis. thank you very much. rachel, france and romania have reached a deal which allows them to facilitate increase ukrainian grain exports to mediterranean countries. that's just by un warnings that the food security situation in africa is dire. meantime, both paris and bucharest, which both have ports to transfer to non you stays, say part of the food supplies are intended for the developing world. i will sign in the court with romania that will allow ukraine to get even more grain shipped out to europe and developing countries, notably to the mediterranean countries which needed for food. but according to un statistics, only 30 percent of the cranium grain has been supplied to low and middle income countries in africa with almost a 1000000 tons send to you ports last month. meantime,

russian president vladimir putin accuse the west of importing most of ukraine's grain and is promising to send 30000000 tons to the poorest countries and need but i give sure, you know, where was the, almost all of the green exported from ukraine is being sent to the e u, instead of to the world's poorest developing countries. many european countries are now acting as colonizers once again, just like they did for decades and centuries. and the passion for the simply deceives the developing countries once more and are still deceiving them at this very moment. she says, while the, when warns that the world is on the brink of an unprecedented hunger crisis, global food prices are down due to shipments made from the black sea for its future supply concerns remain. as many countries in africa, south sudan and yemen are facing quotes, catastrophic conditions according to the world food program. former sedition

general of south africa, patty lake, ola says that africa may expect higher prices and political pressures from countries exporting ukrainian grain. bear with agreements immediately or is it, is it in proportion of what has to be led to their final destination or extra exact a higher price? he seems neatness to this kind of situation. and then of course, wendy crisis is now in the middle of a wall between russia and ukraine. you can expect that some of these things are going to happen because of delivery for there were some box berries where to bag i'd rather be

but the history and german teacher on paid suspension earlier in august. but he continued to attend the school. on september 5th, police brought birth to the high court where he said he could not follow the schools requirements as they breach christian norms. later on wednesday, ireland high court announced the teacher would remain in prison until he complies with an injunction not to attend the school and teach lessons there. however, the attitude towards the religious belief of the teacher have caused a public outcry. this teacher with a previously unblemished racket, has, however, been jailed or suspended for his beliefs, but rather for the when which he had paldon. in other words, his behavior, cases like this are the inevitable result of what happens when you force people into upholden and promote and views which country in reality, christian teacher, enoch burke should be able to use whatever pronouns he wants without being put in jail. what is wrong with ireland?
9:23 pm
this is a sad day in ireland to see what they are doing to this man. wake up people and stop at just terrible. the. let's cross live now to chris l. stand canadian activists who speaks out against giving children puberty blocking drugs. chris, it's great to have you on the program today. so this teacher has been jailed for his religious views. what do you think of this case overall? yeah, he's refusing to lie and use alternate pronouns or boys. you now think that he's a girl and this man is being punished for it for refusing to go along with the light. we should have the right to our religious belief and we should have the right to hold reality without having to go to jail. right. and this really is
9:24 pm
a much broader debate that is being had a number of countries, except they usually don't include jail time. and there has been public outrage against the accusations saying that they are justified. do you agree with that? i think it isn't justified. what happened is this teacher was told not to come to school and work, but as a form of protest, he went and stopped in his empty classroom. the school then got an injunction for him, not lieutenant pool. and out of the, out of the conscience he's violated, the injunction is continued to go sit in the empty classroom and could have been handled very simply by saying that the teacher isn't obligated to lie. they've now got it man with no previous criminal record, sitting in jail for weeks and he's not going to get in. and so we'll see how that plays out. but we need more grade people like, you know, for the stand up against that assault on reality itself. so i applied for doing what he's doing well, you know, it's been interesting because for many in the l g

b, t, q plus community. they often say that using these preferred pronouns or a way of supporting them. but this teacher is bringing in his religious beliefs here saying that in order to do so would go against his belief. so how does that play a role in all of this? well, this is a situation of a certain group with a certain belief shifting system, trying to enforce compelled speech on the rest of society. and that's not the way the world work. you cannot, can tell someone to believe something that they don't believe. and you can compel someone to act contrary to their good conscience. so we're going to continue to be more and more like it until eventually the sorts itself out. but people like, you know, burke, i guess are going to be made martyr out of and stuff with the consequences for standing up where other people are with unwilling to. yeah. now you mentioned really the concern that this would be a, that it would turn into a much greater phenomenon than just this current teacher that we're seeing. and we'll certainly continue to follow those cases. chris else then,
