have a escobar legendary geopolitical alice joining us here live one or 2 international . it's always so good to see you. keep up the good work. i enjoy so much. thank you very my pleasure. thank. thank you. thank you. what protests have erupted and several is railey cities, including tel aviv, where stun grenades have been fired at demonstrators. as they clashed with the countries. law enforcement, a protest is blocked the main highway, the connect hello, even jerusalem. or you can see the pictures right there centrally speaking for themselves, a lot of highlands to demonstrations across the country of broken out as israeli officials of proceeding with a controversial judicial reform. it includes the right of ruling. it leads to limit the power of the supreme court, which currently acts as a counter balance to the executive from 12. israel's prime minister has reacted calling the protests lawless. we will not allow violence against police officers, the blocking of highways and the gross violation of the laws of the state. the right to demonstrate is not a right to anarchy. i give my full backing to the national security minister and
11:31 am
the officers of the israeli police who are acting against lawbreakers who are disrupting israeli citizens daily lives. let's try and get all sides of the story. there is right there is really activist ronnie bar joining us live oh, naughty international, a very. busy welcome to you. so thanks very much for coming on the program that the organ i organize is behind the protests that i promised quote, a day of disruption. is that what they deliver it at a more importantly, do you think it'll make a difference? first of all, good afternoon. good evening from hear from you. good. there is ready for 1st of all, yes, it was a very successful day, although i'm against violence of any kind of the issue of trying to emphasize the point has been achieved and day to day. we will find other ways to make this point that we will never give up on our democracy. democracy.
11:32 am
i was born into democracy. i don't want to live in any other type of regime in the country. i was born in to use the word really, sorry. what is it only about anger at this judicial reforms of the netanyahu government is not. is that what i'm hearing from you? for my, from my point of view, it is merely the star because it, when they will have this judicial revolution, it's basically a revolution that will change the whole face of the country. it will not be a free country anymore. this is the reason we are on the streets. we have other things to do. trust me. i have my own family, my own business, my own free time that i don't need to be on the street for ronnie. is anyone listening to your running? anyone listening to you, i mean it is the government death to the protests or just the resolute and it's
11:33 am
reform plans for the moment for the moment as i see it, they have climbed the tree that they don't know how to get off of its height. and, and of course, there are the extremist people which they put into the government in which we knew that we'll take advantage of every step of this hilarious idea. so basically, i think that are some pragmatic people on the government that would like to, you know, get off the high tree, the hanging on to and come back to a normal ground. but for the moment the extremism is in control. we hope that some more measurements, some more active actions, of course no violence and will persuade them to pay attention. we think i mean stung grenades. ronnie, stung grenades, tear gas violence that netanyahu branded the ongoing protest to anarchy,
11:34 am
and the protesters lawbreakers. were you surprised at all by his choice of words? listen in israel violence if you know sometimes a way of living, especially when you have the power over the police and. and frankly, to be honest with you, that they are putting our sons, which are in the army against us. the protesters and it happened today to my friend when his son was on one side with the police forces. and he was on the other side with the protesters, but it will not change. it will not change our idea. if they can call us under keys, they can call us by violators, criminals, whatever. you cannot just one day wake up and change the world. you can not one day just wake up and decide, no more free countries for you guys. the grunt, the country that you have fought for and served in the army for years, people at risk their lives and people have lost their lives full democracy of
11:35 am
israel. well it's, it's ok doesn't show any signs of slowing down right here. we have, we appreciate your input on this. so obviously netanyahu is under quite a lot of pressure these days. i know that he's still being investigated for corruption. not running bar is really activist joining us life aeronautics international. a great pleasure. thanks for joining us. thank you very much. and thank you for joining us as well for this program live from moscow, just about 7 35 pm here on wednesday. a great pleasure having you with us will program return to the top of the hour with my colleague union o'neill ah, in 2016 american diplomats began complaining of a variety of medical symptoms that included things from physical pain to ringing in
11:36 am
the ears to cognitive difficulties, these symptoms were largely ignored at 1st. and then the term havana syndrome was coined. the u. s. government initially dismissed the symptoms as the product of crickets. yes, crickets, but something more sinister is likely behind it. i'm john carry aku, and you're watching the whistleblowers. 2 2 2 2 cabanas syndrome is a perplexing condition when diplomats at the u. s. embassy and havana. cuba began reporting things like physical pain, migraines, nausea, ringing in the ears, and even in extreme circumstances. traumatic brain injuries, the state department and the defense department called the events anomalous health incidents, cia director william burns called them attacks. and after a preliminary look, the government decided that the situation was one of mass hysteria caused by
11:37 am
nothing more than the noise made by crickets when they were seeking to mate with other crickets. that was ridiculous, of course. and it was wrong in the following months. in years, dozens of american diplomats and government officials in places as far flung as hanoi bogota, washington, australia, moscow, and elsewhere reported symptoms associated with havana syndrome. even the c, i a former station chief in moscow resigned from the agency and led a lawsuit saying that he too was a victim of havana syndrome. and that the cia was not taking him or other victim seriously. doctors now confirm that this syndrome is real. there is verifiable, damage done to the stems, and many of them can show evidence of traumatic brain injuries. but there is no treatment, no rhyme or reason why some individuals seem to be targeted while others do not. and no admission from any element of the u. s. government that this is real and
11:38 am
that something needs to be done about it. we're happy to be joined by dr. learned len burke. he's a russia born physician who came to the united states in 1994 to work for a pharmaceutical company in houston. texas, a naturalized citizen. len resides in suburban, chicago with his partner of 20 years. and he works in the regulatory field in 2019 he started experiencing symptoms of a van, a syndrome at his home. these symptoms are continuing to the present day. lynne was diagnosed with havana syndrome, formerly by the same team of experts that diagnosed us embassy personnel, medically evacuated from cuba. as a result of these debilitating attacks. dr. bur, has been on medical leave since 2021. his case was referred to the defense department by a neuro weapons expert from georgetown university. neither d o d nor the f b, i has made any steps to investigate his diagnosed and validated case of havana
11:39 am
syndrome. len, welcome to the show. it's good to have you. nice to have nice to be with you. thanks for joining us. love start at the beginning. you began experiencing symptoms in 2019. tell us about what you were feeling back than how these symptoms started and what led you to believe that you were suffering from havana syndrome. it started really out of the blue. oh. just unknown odd noises, end of sounds that nobody could hear only me. and them a ring ringing in the here are the gym assists. um well tonight is as to go call them. um my braces. uh, the pick up was very up. um some unusual sensation that i could, i could feel in. it was very painful. i am still an on going to this day. it's
11:40 am
painful, debilitating and ah, it feels like nothing else. it feels like something grabs you in 5. great. you like a lighting like it? 24. 0 really are you're in full. oh suddenly start suddenly in in and disappear suddenly in leave you bury oh, confused ah disoriented ah ah blues equilibrium i can walk in straight line. gilan sled. you on my feet, your unusual i, i've never encountered anything like this, lena. i want to point out at the outset here that you are a physician, a medical doctor, yourself aware, you know anatomy, you know your body, you follow medical developments. and these symptoms didn't make any sense. so you went to your own dot doctor and you told him what you were experiencing. so what
11:41 am
was the initial reaction from your own doctor? what did he tell you? i went to several doctors. oh and they were really dumbfounded. they couldn't figure out what it was i, i had to start doing my own research and i'm, i'm a physician. i'm scientifically minded. i had to starts a systematically investigating every possible hypothesis from a chemical metals to arch systemic disorders in then. uh, i'll also alden um psychiatric disorders, but that's a possibility i have to exclude that and i do not have to hello it, a dual disorder. um, so what i did find is that there was a group of cuban diplomats on that. oh,
11:42 am
with the condition that with now cold and rome, and they were examined by dr. hoffer, the university of miami, who published his paper. i saw him out and i made an appointment. i spent the day there are doing the steeple a test and, and she diagnosed me with this condition um, which it was absolutely oh, on believable to me that some it would be to me as civilian modern people, a man not in cuba. that was a big surprise. yeah. after this began happening to you as to plymouth in cuba, the state department and the cia commission studies to get to the bottom of the causes, at least that's what they said they would do. the state department's advisory group, it's called the jason adviser group finally said in early 2022. that it was not
11:43 am
likely that the symptoms were being caused by a directed energy weapon. also in early 2022, the c. i a released a report saying that in 976 out of 1000 cases of havana syndrome, they could confirm that the symptoms were not a result of a hostile foreign power without drawing any definitive conclusions. these studies speculated that the causes of havana syndrome could be ultrasound waives, or could be the results of pesticides. but a blue ribbon panel of the national academies of sciences, engineering and medicine, said that the likeliest cause was microwave energy, specifically directed, pulsed r f energy. one of the doctors and experts told you about the origins of this thing . have you discussed with them the, the notion of our f energy or microwave pulse energy?
11:44 am
absolutely. yes, this is mrs. steele ill leading hypothesis. the pulse up directed pulse up, break frequency energy in the microwave range. you still believe in hypothesis and a dislike? most of the doctors my entire oh oh, group of physicians felt that takes care of me. they're all on the same page. they understand that this is a new development, this is a new phenomenon, and they concur with the diagnosis of dr. hoffer, who also a tells me that this is a, oh, oh, this kind of brain damage is um, a hallmark of directed energy. oh exposure. and it is an ssl, it's not something that you can just kitch walking down the street. it's not why fi? it's not just the regulates like a designer type of energy life specifically,
11:45 am
this can specifically uh be can be specifically directed to one's brain. um, an in damage and, and, and into severe damage. and does this happen only in the vicinity of your home or your work, or does it happen at different places as you're going know about your business throughout the day? it does happen in, in, in different places. and at this point, anywhere i am, i traveled to different states state of the hotel. it ran from apartment. so i thought my may be, oh, it will be um, oh, easier there? oh no. anyway, go, it's oh, reaches me out. i even travel to be missional radio, quiets on in west virginia. yes. oh, there's oh oh, they're not ours. oh, no cell towers most. no. oh, why fi of noise?
11:46 am
oh, oh. even cars with the oh. oh, satellite radius. yeah, i'm all right, this is a, this is highland county, virginia. there's a, there's a u. s. naval facility there. and um, it's a, it's listening for signals coming from outer space. and so there's no, ah, oh, wireless interference at all. no cable tv, no cellphone towers, no, nothing. it's supposed to be a quiet zone. and i was attacked. i you have to walk several miles to lead to those radars and i, i, i stood next to the biggest radar in that, in the on. and i got attacked just the way i'm a type of home. i'm attacked anywhere. i go, the only relief i get when i travel fast enough in my car was like
11:47 am
65 so many miles an hour. so perhaps there's some tracking system that doesn't catch up would be, but that's my hypothesis. i, i'm way i'm a man of evidence. this is just my expect, which tell us about some of the lasting effects of havana syndrome we're told in these studies that the, the initial phase is a sonic disturbance. but the more dangerous part is that 15 percent of people who show havana syndrome symptoms have a 2nd phase that includes disruption to brain activity. has that been your experience? that is correct. um, we let me make sure that we use the right terminology when you say, so an acre exposure that implies are acoustic um, waves in these enough acoustic, if the work was the, everybody would have heard it. but microwaves. a microwave attacks up
11:48 am
in. so there's no sound if it's a perceptions of south and so you are correct. see cdc. he should report in 2019 a describe in it as a by facial disorder. so the phase one includes these attacks and the symptoms that follow. and then there's one in a stage that basically represents sidney grain degradation in what snug clear is, whether whether or not those some are federal employees who came back from you in other places, ill experience. these attach, the reporting has been rather obscure about that, but there's some some people specifically returned from china. they had these attacks also on us soil. as far as my case,
11:49 am
i'm start in phase one, my attacks by these all sort of microwave concussions. it's a daily occurrence in i might, i'm stuck in phase one, and so as my brain degrading on steel and senator elizabeth access it, i can start in treatment. i can start in your habilitation, is it? what do i put in the bell date on the bleeding? ones because some still bleeding and right ill be attack we they. right. so this is all of my brain skin. looks like a battlefield. oh i, there's nothing more disruption in every network. and i'm 57 years old. i have a catch handicap placard users around the syndrome docs job. just terrible. stay with us, len. you are watching the whistleblowers. our guest today is dr. lynn bur. stay
11:50 am
11:51 am
just don't hold any you well, we have to shape out these days because the advocate and engagement equals betrayal . when so many find themselves worlds apart, we choose to look so common ground. 2 0, well, come back to the whistle blowers and john kerry alco were speaking about havana syndrome with dr. leone at bur, who has been diagnosed with the mysterious affliction that has confounded doctors and researchers for more than 6 years. now. thanks again for being with us len. good. have you lynette. vanna syndrome is now well documented and is the subject of much debate in the medical community. what has the reaction been from your friends, your family members and colleagues to the development of this syndrome in your case? have they been understanding supportive?
11:52 am
have they been able to be helpful in any way? yes. you know, john, you are as strong as the people you surround your yourself with the harry and l. u that my partner, my best friend, my family, who by the way, reside in germany, they, initially, they were skeptical, but they understood and they know me well. so, oh, and there's evidence, so they're very, extremely support my partner called every member on the intelligence committee. but the biggest challenge that i have in this whole situation is really come into grips with reality that this is happening to me. right? this is, this is a, this is a really, it's a big built the small to, to realize that somebody's remotely damage in your brain and for
11:53 am
a really unknown reason, i'm not a deploy. if i don't holding secrets, i never worked for the government. and yet here i am having the same brain damage those cuban. yep. want people have some federal employees? so yes i oh, it's a, it's a really oh, it's a bad situation. any way you look. yeah, this is a tough one. tell us about your experience with people at the department of defense are on capitol hill or other governmental organizations related to havana syndrome . we know that d o d, the state department and see i have studied their own personnel who have developed this syndrome. but what about private citizens like yourself? have you gotten any answers, any satisfaction from any element of the government? unfortunately, lots i, after i receive my diagnosis, i reached out to every elected official to every aren't from local police
11:54 am
to the oh, local elected officials all the way to your centers in the white house in, in every member of intelligence committee and indulgence committee. nobody was even remotely interested in investigating right in, in looking into it because i was not a federal employee. yes, it's really absurd. these weapons are real. they exist the why wouldn't somebody use this weapons on us soil against civilians wise it only limited to federal employees and the have an act that the act of the b a senate passed and the congress passed on. the president obama side into law is discriminatory nature. white,
11:55 am
only certain people receive this damage. let's look sort ill. and on top of that, we know i'm just look at the 2016 act of acquisition of direct energy weapon systems. it's a document that was rather than the sum floor festival. the armed forces committee, we own this weapons, we know what they do, the, there's a definition in the fact that these weapons systems incapacitate personnel and degrade and damage personnel. not only who have been but people. so officials say this is a mysterious condition, lynn. what are the next steps for you? you can't just suffer in silence without the, without the knowledge that your government is doing every thing it can to help you and people like you. the experts say that they're on the case, but they're stamped. so now what now, what happens alyssa?
11:56 am
good question john. i mean, what can one do when you're on government that you elect and you pay tax, it still has no interest in investigating and protecting you at an ultimately i wanted to stop in it from my a communication with a youth enters what my you a center and in the, a representative of who assigned people to be in will my case and communicate with the f b i it was determined that the f b, i is the proper of a venue to investigate this domestic incidence because it's on your soil. i'm not, i'm, i'm not a federal federal employee. but m b, i has been absolutely up just swiveling under the run in the elected officials,
11:57 am
judges, you put them to do anything about it. so what i want to tell people is that if this can happen to me, it can happen to you. and when it does, i, you can go to the police, are the f b, i is not going to help you. what this is i'm, i'm general public. this is a public safety issue. and this is also a political issue because we as a country, desperately need to have it public, robust conversation about these technology that doesn't out of here. oh, government needs to come clean it up in, in bringing to house enforceable laws that that will protect us from this all technological atrocity that damages your brain. like imagine your brain is excess
11:58 am
remotely on a daily basis, and damage just just degraded on the constant basis. that's what it is, and people need to understand the deaths. why f b, i needs to investigated it and protect and stop is from happening to me. and people who are suffering in silence just like myself and who is suffering. that is where we will leave it today. i would like to thank our guest, doctor, lay on it, burke for spending time with us today and i and giving us his experiences and thank you to our viewers. remember not everyone can be cured, but everyone certainly can be healed. i'm john kerry aku and this has been the whistleblowers. 2 2 2 2 2
