you can go through this just now any, in this county you ever go into the whole community center which was there for decades in lakewood and then submitted it to a shelter at least at nighttime. so the homeless in the area would come down to the community center and sleep the night. seems like about maybe 6 months. they close and down the close down the shoulder, and then they, uh, the tore down the building altogether. the . yeah, so we picked up from the, one of the drop off locations. i have about 10 people that have said that it's okay to use their house as a drop off location. so there's centrally located in different areas or around here . so people from that area can go and drop things off at that house. and i go around and i, once or twice a week, i go around and i pick up at that house,
5:01 am
then you know or give to the homeless in their camps. or i do a program twice a week in the town square in lakewood, where i give out to the, the homeless and the poor. they are in lakewood. somebody here with the cost of living right now because of housing with inflation going up. everything is very expensive and there's just a lot of people can't afford the cost of housing and the cost of necessities on top of that food, clothing and whatever. very, very difficult for a lot of people, how many you usually wash? good. god bless you for everything that you do. really the great 0. my name is marietta and i'm not the camera to raise the,
5:02 am
the grave the graves. and you will have to know you have the costs of living going up this year, inflation. and i've seen an increase and people calling me asking me for a place to stay. i need to get tense. i've seen an increase in that. i've seen an increase in people coming out of the town square here to see if they can get something that they need. yeah, it's really wonderful how the broader community is, you know, contributing to this program here. oh, this uh, hold on. i tried to call you yesterday, i couldn't get ahold of. you guys have no money down really. that's the drawers. oh wow, good night. good to pass. what are we saying? we're having to go to the car dealing with no one really does it give a little guy, let me show you what i have, what i'm about through my housing. ok. i'm fixing these out as the l tap. yeah. yeah. see the problem. this will give this to put you on the list,
5:03 am
but it's almost impossible to try the house so good, good. i you bet. i'm good to go over the summer and i still wasn't able to find housing. so there's no formality in lakewood. oh, i know the rate that we're going now or in a few years. i can't imagine what's gonna happen. let me just look at the court records of how many people are going through there be any big last year. if you remember, they put out a 1000 vouchers just just for the heading was throughout the state of new jersey. we got 9 of those vouchers here. the problem comes in is that, i mean, big place for them to raise the vouchers on that. that's, that's a crime that you don't like as far as the rent is in a vouchers, a way down here and it doesn't match. so it looks like you're doing a great job. i'm putting out boucher's book. the people can't get in the house because the vouchers going around to get there. they this consider the united states the merits. i renamed them the divided states of america like and
5:04 am
unfortunately, um the united states is still segregated. racism the, the african american population was 12 percent. now instead of going to sort of that was supposed to represent great over 20 years later because of the government funded gentrification. you know, illegal government funded to get us the politicians that are allowing this and the government agencies that are allowing this. and this is a major uh, deal legal, you know, it's, you know, it's a, it's a major problem in america. it's, it's the same time. and um, it's going to get it's going to get worse unless the governor, you know, steps in and put a moratorium on his try raising rent. because this is steve right now. you know, later you've got to start dealing with the, with the families and their comments. the,

at the end of the 18th century, great britain began to conquer and colonize australia. from the very beginning of the british penetration to the continent, natives were subjected to severe violence and deliberate extra patient. according to modern historians, in the 1st 140 years, there were at least 270 massacres of local b. both any resistance to the british was answered with double cruelty. hundreds of natives were killed for the murder of one settler. indigenous australians were not considered complete people. no wild beast of the forest was ever hunted down with such unsparing perseverance as they are. men, women, and children are shot when ever they can be met with squatter. henry myrick wrote
5:06 am
in a letter to his family in england, in $1846.00 plus strategy as bad as these rightly described as blood soaked in races. if at the beginning of colonization, there were one and a half 1000000 indigenous people living on the continent, then by the beginning of the 20th century, their number had degrees still 100000 people. despite the indisputable historical facts, the problem of old recognition of the crimes of white australians against aborigines has not been resolved so far. the people say there's givers and there's takers of this, you know, pretty true. some people are just natural givers and want to give and go the extra mile and we don't want to help and feel good about it. and there are some people that are, you know, takers that you would like to take advantage of whatever science and getting the lives of balance. you know, there's, makes, takes all kinds and makes the world go around. yeah,
5:07 am
that's going to be nice one for sure. thing it's gonna rain all night. it says a 100 percent percent. all night the winds are going to pick up. it's about 15 miles an hour now it's going to pick up to about 50 before guesses. so yeah, we really gotta get this thing ready for this new fellow coming down into the camp tonight. i call from the hospital. he's got to leave the hospital tonight and so he is name is pendulum. and so we're going to be picking them up at about an hour from the hospital in an order of neighboring towns where summer's zillow. did you have some of the? yeah, i'm just the southern burger j. what? so good. yeah. all right. what's the version here? all right, thank you. bye. sierra ya. she went to the hospital. you heard right?
5:08 am
5:09 am
the new fellow angelo, he says that he's co, his goals are with the best that it was relatively warm, but the temperature dropping and so he's getting cold. so we'll hook up for propane heater for all is going to be our tickets. they say 8 degrees to them with the windshield factor, like 10 below 0 windshield. so yeah, yeah, angela will definitely need he tonight are, you know, by just breeze today. i think in some ways the world is getting colder. people colder towards each other, in some ways, people are more distracted with all the distractions we have of the age these days . um, but i think as things get worse with our economy and everything, i think maybe people will start getting closer. sometimes it takes
5:10 am
a crisis to bring people closer together because people are like, well, it's not in my backyard, it's not happening to me. so they may be sometimes are short sighted and only think of themselves. if you're rich people, a lot of people will catch your bus. but if you're for people, some people will stamp old for a year. i think people do things sometimes only if it benefits them with something, not everybody's. i mean, you're some wonderful people out there that will surprise you, you know, but there's no greater satisfaction than helping out your brother helping you out to sell on man. hard times reveal people's true character. sometimes i say this is just like clothing. the best way to stay warm is the layer. so we layer the 10s over a couple of times with times and the really holds and the heat. nice to angela. yes
5:11 am
. all right, so many structure for you. right? yeah. just a lot of goodies in there. yeah, i think that might even be a gift card in there for $30.00 for awhile. why? oh, why that's the beauty of your name. here's the head for you know, oh yeah, sure. the, the other guys, this is great. you know, you really need a lot in life. it's a shame that they try to force people into this expensive box. you know, the people got to pay all kind of money just desirous and all of that. yeah. was making somebody, well the but is that the freedom of america? you know, you know, if you're really, really rich, are you really free? because you've got to watch who your friends are. you got to watch who's going to assume you. right, exactly. you know, the, you know, the bible says don't ask for too much and you know, and pray for me is that you don't have to live, you know, just have enough to survive. and you know, that's the best the best, the best place to be a good man. yeah. beautiful. sorry. there's also a prophecy,
5:12 am
a little later on today. ok. ok. step of the can. so yeah, this is where steve and 0 had been camp. they were closing this camp over here, the township was stephen of here as for attend, i gave him a small test that ticket high back here because the visit they've tried just came back here before and they've been kicked out of these woods sold by the county is public property steven vera weren't doing anything wrong. they're very clean and very neat, you know, with their cam, but they, they were kicked out so i don't, they weren't discovered, but it looks like a tree. maybe the last storm that we had a few days ago fell on their tents and a branch hit 0 while she was in the 10th and fractured her hip.
5:13 am
so she's in the uh, in the hospital right now. yeah, i know she must be in pain and shame, you know, it's terrible shame the crime that there is no shelter for them to go to. you know, is that they have to sleep out in the woods and just kind of stuff that can happen when you sleep out in the woods. right. can you repeat? yeah, she is either tray. yes, we were sleeping name of girlfriend mirror. and 3 in the morning, treat she's way right here on her hip, facing that way. and i base that with the trees boy came right out of the brown room. all thinking of what i came over and what are you able to show here? yeah. not any, it came down hit right here, right here. and there's a whole right here that's pull this up, hit there when i went down and the pressure made it snap on or what? yeah, that's not the point like that. you're anyways with come
5:14 am
through what would be a top? well right now, there's just well overly very as well. thank you to her. beautiful. so you guys are there? yeah, there are me. that's beautiful. thanks guys. cuz there's a merry christmas eve. that's what god bless you. this 1st, what is it for somebody else that's beautiful. right? that's, that's nice isn't good. as you know you're when he wants of somebody else to be less like yourself. that's beautiful. as to what's left of it. there's a little boy right there in the corner to the flowers. yes, so there was a homeless couple. it was out, adam and cathy. they were staying of this whole hotel here. i put them up in this hotel. it was a fire. and instead of wooded area where they were living here, living in the woods and it was in spring time, and the wind was blowing hard and what's going on fire that anybody staying bags
5:15 am
that would've been killed and that are so i put adam and kathy up in this hotel for a little bit after the fire, since their stuff was all burned up. and jesse had gone out to the store and she was coming back. and some lady in a mercedes didn't see or crossing the road and hit her and killed her. a very sad, very uh sweet trouble. uh ad was a hard worker working almost every day to try to make ends meet, you know, try to feed them and you know, give them the basic necessities. uh yeah, but that's, you know, it's one of the tragic situations of the homeless, the way most of them died early there. hi, how are you? good. we met a long time ago. oh,
5:16 am
here's what i'm 20 years. i'm doing good. so good evening. my name is angelica, i'm an advocate and social worker here in ocean county. and i'm very happy to be here tonight. this is a very important thing to honor those homeless lives that have been lost over the years. like you angelica so that are to be here to represent the homeless of ocean county. when i father, we thank thee again for all of us that was done for us. father, we thank you for this time to night where we have gathered together to honor the lives of those that have passed in ocean county. this year. i was homeless for 2 years, beginning in the pen damaged when i was forced out of my mom's house for my older cousins. i had jobs that were hard to get to. i worked for a financial services company while being homes and pretty much spent $800.00 an old
5:17 am
. there's a month just to get there. they ended up helping me by my 1st car, the one i selected. i ended up losing that same job because i was falling asleep at my desk because of a lack of sleep. i was getting the clock. we're heading over to the cold blue. that's something the governor 1st the instituted this cold blow, which means that when the temperatures drop below a certain temperature, which is 35 people that are homeless, couldn't go into these warming centers. so right now in ocean county, we have 3 of these warming centers. so we're, we're headed over there now to yeah, i've never been inside of the warm you center yet. you know, i know the people that go there, but i haven't been inside myself. so we're going to check it out. so let's check in here. ok,
5:18 am
let's do it the hey, how you doing? good. how you doing this stuff to drop off? is this sleeping already? ok. all right. doing all right, let's go. yeah. as long as you got a warm place to sleep as a big one. okay. yeah, i don't know if i've got one with me. i'll check. okay. yes sir. okay, what would be the square ma? i'm shift to find. yep. let me check if i get some way to see great. i think it might have some, you know, given these presence here, let me open up this and we'll give them the bags and see if we can find some blankets back here. one more for the before. so
5:19 am
the case of china, it's the, the us to pull the elevator tie, one's international status. you see, you have no say lucy's visits, which already credit crisis. and the lincoln, i'm short china wills thoughts, a military operation there is, i haven't even have notes. i don't have even doubts about the so what we've got to do is identify the threats that we have. it's crazy taishan. let it be an arms race is on all sides. very dramatic. only personally,
5:20 am
i'm going to resist. i don't see how that strategy will be successful, very political time, time to sit down and talk and work with schools wells and painful. you know, these are live in a chance or they, you know, find some alternative. um, you know, liquids, a lot of the homeless are sleeping on porches. there was one church with 2 churches that they've frequent downtown and sleep on the purchase of the church. the, the one church put up a fence all the way around the church, you know, receives the homeless out. yeah. so we can't, we can't use that church anymore. that they're sleep on their porch. and so they were in the l. a way right next to the church was the church pulled up the events and the police kicked them out of the way and there was probably about $8.00 to
5:21 am
$10.00 on an average night sleeping in the way the township would come and take all their blankets away. they were both once or twice a week, they would send the township maintenance crew down with a garbage truck and they would just throw away all their blankets there. so it made it very difficult for them to stay warm. so when they go to order, is there looked in them in funder, which one i can't believe you guys are here. yeah. you're here. i know you're talking. yeah. well just the wrong the rumors were versus a coat. here's the coat and left them in here. yeah. good. yeah. okay,
5:22 am
fantastic. ok guys. yeah, you. okay, you're welcome. yeah, my pleasure. ok, here's one moment i guess. okay. i guys have a good data. we're supposed to be the land of the free and have freedoms, but you know, our freedoms are being taken away, or we're not allowed to have these freedoms because of probably some economic reasons. somebody wants to make some money off of housing. and so the politicians create these laws to restrict housing make, you know, an artificial type housing system. when you know, we just need a good free market where people can afford a small home on a small piece of property and only pay $3.00 or $400.00 a month. it can happen. you know, we can do that. but it's again, the politics that are restricting something like that. and then as long as it's not american, we need to change that. and then you go back,
5:23 am
need to go back to american fundamentals. the okay. merry christmas. everybody police navita. we celebrate the birth of our lord and savior, jesus christ today on the bank. your home and homeless himself. beverly father was dying through today or another day that that was given as the breath of life. another day to enjoy the beauty and wonder of the great creation father. we just especially turn to this day this particular day where we celebrate the birth of our lord and savior. jesus christ, who came to redeem us from our sins. again, we asked all these things in the name of jesus christ, our lord and savior, a man and
5:24 am
a man. change the jesus came to be merciful. you know, he told the, the pharisees, he says, you know, you, you follow every little bit of the law, but the way to your measures of a lot of the more important part of the law, mercy compassion and love your neglect. so you said you, your priorities are out of place. you know you, you focus on the small things, but the big things you don't focus on the review, really important things. you don't focus on like mercy and love. so jesus saw that, you know, that again, he didn't just teach us in words. he taught us that examples. ok . ok. ok. all right, but as christmas that we so yeah, i hear you go. there's 2 brothers, the ok. okay, you're welcome. god bless america trust mostly. i was raised in a family that was, you know, very christian. my mother was a strong christian woman and she was,
5:25 am
you know, teachers from the bible all the time, read from us from the bible. and so i grew up really, you know, it was infused into me from my mother here who's on the, the, the 0 and we can be speak because we are going to be doors are the worry man a because you know, this is, this is like, this is what robert mcmillan remembers the road. yeah. oh no. people don't realize . and in the, in the d for the memory goes in. so what are the people thinking bought like, oh it's okay. we got our own thing. so i have my values. i know y'all, i was warner warner, i would say a woman. okay. and is your married was more, i'm on you say your mind. you're on the friday, you know,
5:26 am
the model and the, i don't think some of the agree with it that made us and the woman was st. andrews out there, defeating the society, receiving the young people there. how knowing morality that how nobody, who's that think everything is ok and there's no we all guy likes to evaluate and even a government assault, the bidding of society fall apart. and that's how, oh, okay, road history repeats itself was the, it's the adjustment into it. you know, i think the best uh gift for christmas or any time of year is, is to be able to give. it's just, it's just feel so good to be able to give to other people. you know, so it's a blessing i hit it goes, you get a good feeling inside when he give to other people. so i do it, you know,
5:27 am
every time i do this over a 121 years and every time i do it, i get a good feeling. and you know, that's, that's all i need the of the 1st time we're stuck. we're stuck on the 2nd. so we put into the 4 wheel drive, the st goodness or 4 wheel drive is really be there all day long. or the 5th james, did you say?
5:28 am
how is your ward or did you say, how's your voice? good. yours, yours? ready? counting 3. 123. 0 jingle bells. jingle bells jingle all the way. oh no it is. you don't want doors open. didn't go about didn't go about getting go all the way. all was on it is do i did one or so? mm. hey. all right. yeah. we did good. yeah. yeah. they brought us. uh yeah, we got the christmas spirit now. who's got a cigarette for me. i'm dying here with this christmas. she said curse on christmas . come on the we got here.
5:29 am
the 3 of you can do just as you're the master of your own destiny. i guess the same thing. angelo recently can the went to harvard for free law. yeah. yeah. he went to the most prestigious school in america with our so just shows that, you know, anybody can be in these camps here, that we've had people that are familiar. there's in the past, you know, had big businesses, different things can throw you over the edge. so people shouldn't be so judge mental about the homeless because it can happen. it could happen. joe was anybody seems like there. yeah, there covering the beast. pilots,
5:30 am
up and down this this guy is certainly around is there. we've got an ice camp here. everything's clean, everything's orderly. we're just afraid of this guy circling around here with the helicopter guy. he's definitely circling around us, coming around and probably taking pictures or whatever. no government money, we're living simple living, you know, living 3 and doing the right thing, you know. and tell me what just took, you know shelby angel box and you're going to jump through the hoops. you know, be there little service. the still going around. i don't know, it's hard to tell those police or what very, very disturbing. that's for sure. i mean, we still got, we still yeah, from the front. well that's, that's normally what they do either. that's not written in stone that they've got to do that. you know, it's a human so they've got to give us a little time, right? i would, i would think so it'd be, yeah, you'd be a little bit of a heart. yeah. yeah. it's certainly a matter of time. do you have
