tv   Cross Talk  RT  August 26, 2024 11:00pm-11:31pm EDT

11:00 pm
just going underground, can the the hello and welcome to cross talk. were all things are considered. i'm peter level. as western leaders recklessly talk of escalating the conflict in ukraine, european voters, it said the exact opposite message. pro war leads are clearly out of step with voters, and they've been punished for in the cross section ukraine. i'm joined by my guess, daniel mcadams, in lake jackson. he is the executive director of the wrong co institute for peace and prosperity in washington. we have richard cook, he is
11:01 pm
a former us federal policy analyst as well as author of our country then. and now and in montreal, we crossed to matthew and read. he is a senior fellow at the american university in moscow, and director of the rising tide foundation of canada high gentlemen, costs are girls in effect. that means you can jump any time you want. and i always appreciate danielle, let me go to you 1st. i mean i, i woke up this morning finding out that you and i were the same enemies list. okay . i still again um you and i uh seem to be highly profiled and these enemies list again another one of these lists that are funded by the us government. good money i used in this fashion, tax k or a pay or money, your thoughts? the? well, i'm just obviously hanging out with a route wrong crowd. i go to the bathroom close on me 100. i think this time they may have stepped on it a little bit because um, you know, there were 390 some of the prominent americans, myself. excluded of course. but you're talking about donald trump, you on musk,
11:02 pm
tucker carlson. you know, in the fact that this uh, organization um, text is affiliated with the us government to the us state department. and the project they did together and through the usa id, which ones that are project with them. it's going to, i think, make it a little bit embarrassing, as i mentioned on our program yesterday. if i was a member of congress, i'd go down to the floor and say, i would like to know exactly what's going on with our foreign policy. why are we subsidizing a country that is putting americans on list when they know that they've had other list, they put people on that have been killed? so, i mean, i think somebody like margery taylor green could do it. you know, the mat gates could do it. any of these guys could go down there and make a real scandal out of this. yeah, but the very fact that it's happening is a scandal in itself. i mean, again, you know, they, they do us, nato is supporting ukraine because of its democracy in our shared values. i have no idea what the shared values are whatsoever,
11:03 pm
and it's just shameful on the part of the us government, particularly the bite in ministration. you know, richard, i started out with my introduction about the european elections and we don't have to delve deeply into them here. but i mean, the message is quite obvious to something that i've been saying on this program. and daniel has been saying on his program. but this isn't a leak project, the ukraine project is a lead project. been if you did the voters the chance every once in a while, they're going to tell you what they think about it. and so you have a leadership in germany and in france where they were embarrassed in front of the public for their public stance on this issue here. i don't know if it will have any impact, but every once in a while and it's, it's a trial balloon to see what people actually think your thoughts as well. i think as we realize, and one of the major themes in my book or countries in now is that the western world was taken over by the global this party many
11:04 pm
decades ago. and the amazon global is party, as we saw by the program put together by the council on foreign relations, right before world war 2. want us to go over the course of time the united states, as the enforcer of global hegemony would engineer a military domination of the entire globe. of that project has been going on now for a well over a half a century. and what we are seeing today is other parts of the world standing up to that and saying, no, we're not going to go along with it. but there's a tremendous upsurge of uh, of rethinking going on among the population to the western world, including in europe and, and i know i have my own family and in germany i have a german american grandchildren,
11:05 pm
a and the population of europe is finally themselves. rising up and saying this is ridiculous. why do we need what paperwork, pepe escobar calls the head german controlling everything all the time. so that's of sure, well, maybe richard and they're not even doing a very good job of it. i mean, you know that, that's the problem here. you know, matthew, what we've seen over the last few weeks is an escalation, i'm calling this program the folly of escalation. and you know, escalation only works or doesn't work to a certain point here. and we go into the realm of nuclear weapons and deterrence. and the problem i see here is that it's what got us through the cold war was deterrence. both sides agreed about this theory and practice of deterrence. now we have one side, the west. it says now we're not going to play the guitar escape. he's there doing that at our great peril. everyone's peril. matthew. yeah, it,
11:06 pm
it is really concerning the, the new logic that entered the scene with these 3rd generation technocrats that seem to have a real loss in mental aptitude that was seen at the very least as vicious as people like kissinger or the neighbors in sky. where they had a certain sense, at least of their self interest. and the idea of deterrence was a big factor of mutual assured destruction which i, again don't, i don't, i don't even think that the mutual assured destruction idea was necessary or good. but at the very least, there was an idea that one side wasn't going to win nuclear war ways. now, with these younger generation technocrats that have been drinking their own cool aid and operating on these games to remodels, they've been deemed out again and again for the past 2530 years, demonstrating that they're typically possible. somehow that, according to these computers to we are at least with minimal collateral damage with our, you know, asian or european allies, collateral damage accepted. but, but it's still possible with their motive, their war,
11:07 pm
and they're acting upon this insanity, despite all the evidence to the contrary. and despite the hypersonic missiles, the candles, the other next generation weapons that demonstrate that these mathematical models are, are foolish, are they don't work in reality, but they're still acting on it. and it is very damn. and matthew, it's even more concerning and doesn't get the coverage. it deserves obviously in western media. is it? and i think daniel will agree with me here is that over the last few weeks, even months right now we could use the starting point of tucker carlson. this interview with why don't we approved and that's a good benchmark. they're, they're very well aware how the us in nature was disregarding the they these, these concept of deterrence. i mean, even to the point of pleading psych, would you sober up? would you wake up? let me throw that to daniel. daniel, what do you think about that? i mean, to me, it looks like uh, escalation is the new router of off and you know, the new wonder weapon because everything they put out has been fail, has failed from the javelins to the on these,
11:08 pm
the leopards. everything is spilled. so the new wonder weapon, no ukraine, what is the one? if only we would have let them strike the russians as they were amassing over the board? if only you had done that, then they would have white. so if we start doing that, then they'll when it was the same thing with the money. oh, if the republicans would only stop dragging their feet and pass this money while they did pass. so money didn't change a thing. and now this is the next escalation, because in their minds, and this is how neo cons operate. they don't have a, they don't have the same thought process as we do, which is a putting is bluffing. rush is bluffing, they're afraid of us. we're number one where the interest has one nation. so no matter what we do, they will retaliate and it's a dangerous and deadly game that they're playing with our lives. you know, hey richard i, i hear on various pod cast these days. the russians don't bluff, they act well yours truly said that about 2 and a half years ago and now it's gotten currency. i wish i would get the royalties for saying it, but i don't. but richard, that is the points here. they're playing
11:09 pm
a game of bluff that they think that they can win and no one will win this, this game of chicken as well. what we don't realize enough is that all this whole big bluff game is to cover up a total financial collapse of the western world. of the western world has been sinking deeper and deeper into debt due to issue usury based financial system going back really a centuries. they've sucked up all of the money in the world that they can get their hands on. but now we're looking at catastrophic debt. so particularly within the united states in the us government, where the government debt is over a 125 percent of the ttp which, which is acknowledged as being catastrophic. and i have said that the u. s. government has been functionally bank brooks. now for 15 years, the only reason they've escape from it is
11:10 pm
a treasury bond bible financed by purchased by this federal reserve of us government debt. because everybody else, particularly china, is dumping their us to. so all of this looming in the background wearing down the tracks like a runaway train. the system has to cover it up by all of this bluff and all of these for an extra page. there are a smokescreen for what is really happening now. and matthew, you, we had lindsey graham the most and tore us of them all. he just said in the last new cycle, what it's really all about and ukraine, the ukraine is a gold mine. i mean, another market to put a pillage. i mean they, they really say the quiet part outside, out every once in a while. go ahead, matthew. yeah. what does it, what did you say 10 to 12 truly. yeah. dollars, minerals. uh and uh, yeah. what, why, why, what the russians and attorneys have the actually could have both russia and china in as a narrative. we could have it. i mean, it, it's like,
11:11 pm
this is inside what stuff, and you're just coming out saying it. but then again they're, they're also say, and they're, they're going on a flight forward right now as well. i mean, they're looking to try to get the additional $300000000000.00 to cops get some rough for an asset or they are still going for that. they're there, they're, there is, i think it's tied to what richard was just saying that there's this collapse function that, that is positive on some level by these, these neil con freaks. and they're just grappling, we're straws for anything that will get them to, to be preserved from being sucked into this on coming up bits of collapse. and so they're, they're get in a desperate flight, ford motor of what can i get? what can i steal to keep this boat of float a little bit longer, but it's destined to collapse. it can't do anything but collapse unless you, you get your head out of your ass and you realize that we need systemic errors over decades. and let's start making corrections, but if you don't do that, well when the what method, what makes it worse, matthew is that they everything that you just said what richard just said about the
11:12 pm
economy and then tie in election cycles. okay, so just keep the government going into november. unfortunately, the whole world doesn't revolve around american elections. thankfully finish out before we go to the break. matthew, you know, i, i think like a, like i said, the, the window is closing very fast right now. and, and russian has offered us trend has offered us all of these wonderful windows of opportunity to actually demonstrate what our realtor cooperative partnership can look like. how we can build infrastructure together. and we've chosen to look the other way over decades now, and to go for hedge money instead. so and that and, and that is a craven choice that we've discussed on this program for years general. and we're going to go to a short break. and after that short break, we'll continue our discussion on ukraine. stay with the the
11:13 pm
the, what is part of the, the employee would posted? is it the defense you of us in that, in the word? or is it something deeper, more complex might be present? good. let's stop without pleases. let's go to the product. or
11:14 pm
the after the end of world war 2, great britain decided to make up for his losses with the merciless sex location of its colonies. the plundering of the occupied territories. had my la, devastated as a result of the decade loan fighting, extremely hard. changing grew, and in 1948, the colonial administration was forced to declare a state of emergency. in response patriots united him to the malay in people's liberation army. and began a guerrilla war. london decided to suppress resistance, georgia and mass deportations. executions of civilian n, sprain of chemicals, scale being and cutting off at these were the barbaric methods the british used trying to keep my la within their empire. the massacre in the village of baton

gully, committed by the scots guards against the arm, especially because a particular stir. the entire male population became victims. trying to suppress the gorilla movement, the occupiers relocated 500000 people to concentration camps. the for roses rule, the boards fruit. the patriots were scattered. however, the british experience the strength of the malay resistance to the full extent, the british army losses in low le, were the largest since the end of world war 2. in 1957, the british empire was forced to recognize malay in independence. the resilience of them a late people put an end to the history of british colonialism in south east asia. the welcome make the cross stock were all things are considered on peter lavelle to mind you were discussing you right?
11:16 pm
the okay, let's go back to daniel and lake jackson. speaking of one year of weapons, the f sixteens are on their way. we're told, okay, be measuring that for a while here. but ukraine says, you know, with the, with it to be wonder weapon, they're going to store station some of their f sixteens outside of ukraine. well presumably that means maybe poland may be romania, maybe the baltic states. so this bodes very, very badly because for them russian point of view, it doesn't really matter where these planes are spaced and if they're going to be designed to kill russians or even into a russian aerospace. so they're targets. of course i'm getting at article 5, daniel a. yeah, maybe doesn't take the military expert and i'm far from one to understand that the 16 is, are not a game changer. they can, you know, you can brush it has air dominance. that's an absolute fact. you know, i mean, anyone with an eye with eyes can see this. and so they realize this is the case.
11:17 pm
they can't take off on ukrainian run ways because the russians will bomb the runways and they, the f sixteens. i apparently are very quirky and they have to have for steam run ways to take call from. although otherwise a great plane, never the less so they're going to have to store them and hide them. and romania and poland, pretty dumb. i did well for the last thing that i read is that the ones that are hidden over there will not be used in combat. they're just kind of spares in case or when the other ones are shot down, which will be the case. and peter, if i could just add one very quick thing on the lindsey cramping, which is very funny, i was just looking at a chart before the show and lindsay grams, 12 trillion dollars worth of minerals over half of them are located in the 4 provinces that are already part of russia. so good luck with that. have mr. graham, mrs. graham. well, i mean it, mcdaniel, but this is also all part of a paradigm that we've seen since the end of the cold war, the under the soviet union. now it's the end of russia, this is,
11:18 pm
this has been their mindset all along. let me throw it to richard here. i mean, if you, if you look at the, how joe biden soiled, the normandy, come member ations, apparently he sold it in more than one way. all of that are viewers the side on that. but you mean, you know, when he's a cheering on the death of a russian soldiers had at an event where the united states and the soviet union were allies. and in an event where the allies could have only invaded normandy, because of the soviet advances on the eastern front. i mean, the, from the russian side, you know, is like the napoleon napoleon, the germans denazi's. and now we have nato. it's all part of the same, seamless view of history. richard. well, the western way of making war and like point particular to the british and to the americans is to show, provokes the other side. that the other side will react to such a way that we can then point the finger at them and blame them for starting the war
11:19 pm
. this was the way the spanish american war began was, remember, the main. it's the way the united states army wiped out the native americans because they would, uh, so uh, pressure the native americans killing off their buffalo. the, when the native americans reacted they would go in and they would decimate and destroy the villages. it was the way the united states provoked the japanese into an attacking before world war 2 and is quite obvious to what we're trying to do. all right, and commentators say this over and over again is to show pressure russia to pressure china that they will react in such a way that we can then say, oh, they started the war. we have clean hands, so we're going to go after them because they're to blame. not. uh, yeah, so yeah, i agree with you. absolutely. but matthew, we have something called the nuclear weapons this time around. and i'd like to
11:20 pm
point out to everyone. when you look at great power politics, you tried great powers, try to avoid direct confrontation with other great powers. you know why? because you might lose. that's why you fight proxy wars divided ministration can seem to get through. it's that through it's fix. go go ahead. matthew, that you have, whether there's a lack of wisdom on a, on a lot of levels. right. and we, in terms of what richard was just saying, i think that that's actually really interesting, that there is an inability to take the lessons, basic elementary lessons from history and apply them. i mean, they just happened the opening up the, the, the 2nd front after postponing it for a year and a half after the pay. but it finally happened. it happened largely because the sacrifice of the russians were, would be carried up about the 1st stone, stone grand, the amount of sacrifice of rush it, the, the russians and the chinese carrying the weight of world war 2 mostly is on their shoulders with 90 percent of them are being absorbed by the russian military and
11:21 pm
the russian people were all of that was ignored until we entered in mid 1944 on the 2nd front at least in europe. i mean it, all of that was ignored in all of the d day commemorations. by biting by these, you're keen technocrats. they just completely ignored the russian sacrifice because it's not convenient to be reminded of that when the current object agenda is to read replay world war 2. but on the other side we're, we're all, all of a sudden taking the as offs off of a wow. i just, you read my mind, that's exactly where i want to go. daniel daniel, you know, a now american arms can be used by the us of battalion about 10 years ago that was . busy considered illegal by the us congress now they've continually given neo fascist the green light to use our weapons. okay. this is extraordinary. what kind of coverage does it get? oh, that does it. they were did. they were fitted on the campus of stanford not too long ago. this is, is this really about values or if it's about values that brought their head there,
11:22 pm
the wrong values. daniel. one of the reasons you and i and so many others made that list. peter is because, according to the organization, people who suggest that there was a not see problem in ukraine, the are pushing russian propaganda. well, again, they thought you all you have to do is have eyes to see and you can see these are not the nicest guy as on the block. and so the idea that they can use the weapons is another reflection of the desperation. i mean, i don't know if you gentlemen saw, but the of yesterday i think it was the end to lu press agency published some photographs of ukrainian military man. and i mean, i'm not a young guy anymore. but these guys looked like, you know, my dad's age, i mean pretty, pretty bad. pretty, pretty old desperation. there's no man left a fight and that's a problem. and again, we're headed by people like, like the by the administration where button is just simply not a player in this game. so that falls to the 2nd tier, people like jake sullivan. and if you look over jakes career and we don't have time to go into it now, but this guy has a string of failures, you know, going back to,
11:23 pm
to libya. i mean this, this guy has, has no achievements whatsoever the same as to a 20 blinking is uh, i think what you started out. these are men without achievement in their lives, without anything other than this idea of power politics and establishing the narrative, their narrative establishes that's, that's what i can do. yeah, but, but daniel, if i can show it to richard, they're not good at any of these things, even if establishing the difference if they can't game it. so you keep it straight . i mean, this is what they, they don't deal with the real world. they deal with the world what they want it to be, and this is the big disconnect because the russians are primarily concerned with their security. i'm not really sure what the west is concerned about beyond hit gemini, which it doesn't. where is it working out for them? anyway, richard is where we need to look at who is busting these people around, where their orders are coming from. their orders are coming from to use a phrase, big global banking and finance. these are the ones who run the hedge them. uh,
11:24 pm
they usually have one to give the orders to the new cards. they use other ones who gives the orders to the us military. now i'm sure daniel has noticed with great interest. the representative thomas massey, is introduced to bill in congress, very reminiscent of rome. paul, which is to abolish the federal reserve that goes to the heart of the matter. no, he doesn't proposing that bill what we're going to put in its place. but what we have to put in this place is and been pitching us monetary system that a recognizes the banking system has run the united states and the rest of the western world into a function of bankruptcy. and be we need a new monetary system based on building a functioning society for all of our citizens. so that's kind of where we're at right now. yeah. well, what's really interesting, matthew, is that we, we got to kind of a sneak preview in st. petersburg at the conference out there last week,
11:25 pm
but we're going to get it in october. i think when the breaks, as they are, um annual meeting is going to be in cars on russia. and i think they're going to roll out their own switch to the mit all about the monetary system that richard was talking about. except for this one will work with out the dollar. matthew, the yeah, food team is, has made that clear that that's the intention. i know you are the reading, informed minister or the finance minister last month. also saying that this was in the works. russia is already, i think now the last statistic i read was that 86 percent of transactions take place in local currencies versus 23 percent. last year seen time in, in russian, the russian central bank at least. so you definitely have a convergence, i think by this growing multi polar reliance, the bricks which is now seeing, i think there is like we've at the turkish or foreign minister calling to join the bricks. there's a huge waiting list now of other nations. want to get on board this a viable thing that can float where the current system a, b, e u, the us dollar is obviously tanking people want off the ship. and i think it's only
11:26 pm
a matter of time. and as you said, the next brick summit might very well believe the place where we see a watershed break through on the, the alternative to swift as a fully integrated payments system. and god knows what mike, what beautiful things might come out of that. you know, daniel, you know, is what, these, the, the new elections that are being called in france and there we could possibly see it in germany. what they're doing is they're all calling for a war economy. they, they're preparing for a war that they can easily avoid. explain that. i mean, it's like me preparing for a marathon. yeah, i can prepare, but it's not going to happen, right? i mean, for economy, what economy, you don't have an economy, you had your pipelines blown up by the americans. what are you talking about? you know, it's a complete joke and i think that's why the european public. i mean, this is a referendum on how they feel their leaders are doing, guess what? they're not very happy. and you see the a f d dominated the entire eastern part of germany. i mean, this is a massive protest boat. so my guess is we'll put this in,
11:27 pm
daniel was in light of what you just said considering the demon ization that party experience for months before the election. they still did. well, i'm sorry to interrupt, keep going. no, you're absolutely right. i mean, there are one step away from being outlawed and they may still try to do that. my guess is what's going to happen next or this. whoops. are going to get busy. they're going to infiltrate these parties. they're going to have a rogue party members saying crazy things so that they can demonize the parties are going to do whatever they can because i think through in full panic now with these, with these elections in france as well. i mean, we're looking at the pen, i mean, possibly a minute for quite loses the snap elections. you called maybe you quit. and if that's the case, i mean there could be a, a real tidal waves there. and so the next step is for this books to get in and undermine the whole thing. yeah, it's all about us a top democracy versus a, a talk receive. but what i see going on in the west is the most fundamental anti democratic impulses. here we're seeing what the, the, i think the washington post is doing to the great zone. and i think that is
11:28 pm
a trial balloon. unfortunately, how are they going to go after other people like on this program? who are dissenting? okay, that's, that's the next major block. we have to deal with the gentleman that's all the time we have on with like my guess in montreal, washington and in lake jackson. and of course, i want to thank our viewers for watching us here in our to see you next time. remember, across on the the, during the 2nd will pull underground power under the tree organizations in poland
11:29 pm
occupied by german troops, as well as in the bordering regions of bella, rose were united into the so called home on a trip to the center or the or the prospect just say it's because i use a blue screen time list. but the thing is, i take this to the ship where they put you through this issue of shy speak of the who mom a was the main organization that zip code is resistant to switching against gym and occupation and soviet rule. somebody's been in the army cuz i knew we were tenants . we need to level she plenty of the boys still exciting. and so he's going to put those on anything, isn't this, you know, that's most of the home on the account. we don't operations to destroy the nazis, but then switch to settling schools with soviet pa designs and the civilian population that supported them. they have never bytes it automatically over it. you destroy your customers any today, but i didn't. and the new dates i bought it from my goal is to have your product is
11:30 pm
on a new product that has to be a liberal in agreement or just the booklet is devali. 60 those up levels to boys boys team and you got my students deal when you have no heat suppressor skills and we generally for you somebody to cheat anymore. so the take a fresh look around his life. kaleidoscopic isn't just a shifted reality distortion by power to division with no real live, any of the fixtures designed to simplify. it will confuse who really wants a better wills and is it just because it shows you a few fractured images presented to this? but can you see through there illusion going underground can
11:31 pm
look forward.
