to shift on your step of presto slash step, i don't want to bring your name here. i'm so sorry i missed because on your certificate 16, they put decided that the 1st year of the nazis use people is biological weapons, leaving them to perish without food, water or shelter. feed your small it there for me, for a dating. so could, if they knew who lives out there, what do you smoke, or can you put the infringe kenesha wheeler should have to put an easy issue relationship for them to move the cam gloster 10 days. or what else made it drastically defense for mazda camps of the 3rd rice watch on tv. the everybody. i'm rick sanchez, and this is the weekend review. and these are some of the stories that we're going to be taking a part for. you breaking news, the f b i is now investigating a shooting in west palm beach as an attempted assassination against former president donald trump.
9:01 pm
the, the us was not aware of this incident in advance, and at this point, we're gathering information. so another plan attack on try botero attack and love it on and our government says was really what happened? an attack where one attack israel, who i'm pick finch as this is directive back. hey, let's talk about the all right, let's do this. and boy, again, we have to start to show by saying what a weak, unbelievable. joining me now to take us through this is, darling nixon. darling as you know, is the host of the critical hour on radio. sputnik great show, great gas, great guy, by the way. so let's start with what's obviously the story of the week. this is,
9:02 pm
i have never and i, man, i've been doing this for so long, too long. but i care to talk about this high tech, sabotage of personal digital devices. thousands and thousands of them going off all at the same time in 11 on the picture, still coming in. but here's kind of what it looked like. the mentors of, of the can you imagine, i mean, you're just sitting there and all of a sudden you're a pager goes off and the way they designed it, they did it. so it would 1st send a signal, then the people would get it, put it in their hands, put it close to their face, and then it would blow up. most people are now main. they're missing their hands
9:03 pm
are part of their arms. some people had were killed cuz it was too close to their face. a lot of people blood out by the wall street journal as already published an account right away, by the way, in one of its early additions, right after this happened saying that is real appears to have purposely interrupted the supply chain to cause this to happen. cnn, cnn, which is like state tv for israel has come out and reported that is real, did it. um, and now the world is trying to figure out what the reaction is going to be to something like this. and then is it going to lead to another war between israel and 11 on and what will the us as role what will what ron's role be in something like this? i mean, this really opens up a whole can of worms garland your take on all of this. a couple of things. i do think this may have been somewhat a response by is real. i think they were pretty embarrass. the young men fired a um, a hypersonic missile in to tell her the even was able to strike
9:04 pm
a target and they were unable to stop the missile. and i do think that there was some level of embarrassment. there is some level of humiliation. and they felt like they had to strike back and this apparently had been set up for some time. i think something that's not being discussed here is how it will affect um, western electronics. i mean, right now with your in a global south country, really in any country and you are in charge of military or security, you have to say any, for any pagers, any computer. yeah. thing that comes from the what, oh my gosh, that came from taiwan. i don't want it. i think i would suspect at the bricks meeting they will be discussing how they can get their electronics and all their security electronics from china or from some of the bricks, cups, countries that they trust that manufacturer them. i think it's going to be a very bad economically for electronic companies in the was a great point you have made. i had not thought of that. my gosh, you're absolutely right. in fact, when there's already
9:05 pm
a movement among most of the countries in the global south to separate themselves as you and i have discussed many times from the us monetary system in the western monetary system. here's another reason for them to say, look, we're not going to do business with the apple. we're not going to do business with motorola. we're not going to do business with any uh, any of these big western companies from now on. we're making our own stuff. and that could, that really could happen, in fact, uh, from a business standpoint, internationally on uh, on in the tech world. but by the way, let's talk now about this, the reaction, the targeting of the digital devises used by civilians is being condemned by the e u. e u, interestingly enough, and the us and russia and egypt in turkey, and then as well on most countries in africa and cuba and a lot of other countries. most of them, as you mentioned, who are not beholden to israel or to the united states for its part, the state department spokesperson had this to say in the us was not aware of this
9:06 pm
incident in advance. and at this point we are gathering information. and what information together we continue to collect information, i don't have any for any public read out to give now, but we're collecting information. and the same way the journalists are across the world to gather the facts about what might, you know, it's funny how i, i think i recall correctly when the city hall in moscow thing happened. i think it took, uh, that person that you see right there, mr. miller, about the 1015 seconds to run, to get in front of a camera. it's a good thing. nobody was in the way because he would have been run over to say that we knew for sure that ukraine had nothing to do with it. i mean, they were apoplectic in their response and this time there as the question that even see a man is reporting israel did it. and he said, oh, i would be, you know, explosion, what explosion page or what page or what happened. tell us, we're just here to do what you guys do. we just going to try and go and find out.
9:07 pm
it just seems silly to me, does good? well, it's impossible to argue that they are trying to gain information in the exact same way that members of the press who have no access to is really intelligence or high officials for of. so perhaps they can't just pick up the phone and call them and say, what happened? that's a, it's absurd, but it kind of it, when, when they make an implausible argument, it implies some level of guilt. but certainly, why would you have to lie and say that you, you're, you have no idea what happened in your just uh, you know, aimlessly search and you don't even know where to start to look arise. unless you're trying to cover something up, it doesn't look good. just just say you right, you don't, you're so right. garland just to say look, it looks right now from all reporting. and maybe we haven't confirmed it, but that israel may have been responsible for this. we're, we're trying to get on the phone with some is rarely officials to see what uh, what, what they're going to say. and what we're going to do,
9:08 pm
might this have an effect on the piece process that we're trying to establish? absolutely. see that the, i'm still kind of kind of shading the truth, but at least i'm someone credible when i say that and i don't do his job, but he just sounds like he just was wired man. yeah. you know, they have uh, you know, distinction for the true there as a medic about it. so they don't really care. they just say something if it happens to be true and you know what, i would have more respect for him. if he just said, leave me alone, i'm not answering, you know, go away. i would respect that because that's basically what he said. but he kind of lied to us and pretended that he wasn't really saying that. so at this time, i think most people are going to assume a that the united states was either that was, was well aware of it and be that they likely had some input. we also know that the apparently the gold apollo country, that is the origin, the originator of these devices, correct some of these devices in taiwan. so again,
9:09 pm
there's going to be an assumption the united states has different significant input on the island of taiwan. so everything points back to us intelligence here, along with this really intelligence, right. and everything that's created in the united states, technologically speaking, that isn't made in the united states has done where i want. right? so it's, it's almost like a 5th branch or something. all right? so you and general assembly is demanding that is real and it's occupation of the palestinian territories and stop. here's the decision that just came out last night . job resolution is like e as in slice of 51 slides. revision. one is adopt that it's a non binding resolutions, i guess my question you would be how non binding is this non binding
9:10 pm
resolution? carla? well, i think these things are important because what they demonstrate is that there is a global majority. and the global majority has particular moral values, and they are okay balancing those moral values through the united nations in the united and the united states is separating an isolating is so from a moral perspective. additionally, the us constantly uses the international law. well, you're violating your under international law and the freedom of the seas were going to sail through the taiwan straits and things of that nature. and it just turns out to be that the us now conveniently not now. but the us conveniently uses international law, uses a you in charge of when it benefits them. and other than that, they simply ignore, ignore it, and it's getting more obvious to everyone. so it's a way that the us is self isolating morally and legally from the entire world. is there any organization left in the world that has any kind of teeth to be able to
9:11 pm
move people in a non partisan way? you know, i a would argue that's what bricks is about. the bricks has the people have recognized that since world war 2, the united states has created an international, legal, and particularly economic infrastructure that they can manipulate for their own means. and i think briggs is a result of that now we're seeing, i don't think brits will be the only new organization this bill, but i think there are a lot of countries that have had it with being a dump and agent. and so we're seeing a new infrastructure, right? but, but starting with breaks, but, but is it really neutral though, or is, is there a fear that because they, a lot of the countries and brakes have this resentment against the west that they could easily be pulled in the direction by russia, which, you know, can can, can be a real big influence, or china, for example, um, and perhaps iran and, and perhaps others who could go in there and say,
9:12 pm
you know what, we're going to, we're going to come at this from our perspective. and we're not going to include the perspective of those western countries when you're doing the same thing with the western countries are doing, but in reverse, in the well, yes and no in that. and you know, when you look at the, the, the us dominated infrastructure is the, is it just as we mentioned um, a few more moments ago, the rules are arbitrary and capricious. they do not stick to their own rules. so if the brakes and, and those types of or organization make a set of rules, they set standards and they stick to those standards. that will be the difference. because in most of the western groups and organizations, they have fairly reasonable standards. the problem is they do not adhere to their own the 3rd, so the difference will be, do you with here to the standard and to the more the values that you a spouse or are they just, you know, conveniently, you're mouthing the words. all right, i'll tell you what, when we come back,
9:13 pm
i want to take a little break, and when we come back, we're going to be talking about another assassination attempt. or what certainly appears to have been the setup of for the, for the handiwork for another assassination attempt on the former president of the united states. who is this guy? who is this ralph guy? well, we're or ross, i'm not sure how you pronounce his name. we're going to tell your stay right there, the, the,
9:14 pm
the, all right, welcome back. i'm joined once again by growling nixon. we're having a really smart conversation because he's a smart guy. he's the host of the critical hour on the sputnik. let's get to this story that was the biggest story of the week until this thing happened with the pages in the 11 on another assassination attempt on former president, donald trump. the suspect his name is ryan ralph. i believe is it router rob roth? i that do you know it's, it's spelled like the word use with an are so i don't know it could be root and all the again, i, yeah. depends on his ethnic background. have these days it could be pronounced smithers for all we know. god, no they, you know what people do with s names now,
9:15 pm
all i know is i'm not going to include his middle name because just because he tried to kill somebody. and just because he's a, an attempted assassin doesn't mean we have to give them 3 names. i'm going to break that rule and just go by his 1st and last name. all right, so he apparently took off running when the secret service shot at them. he was hiding behind some bushes just right down the road here in palm beach county where mr. trump has one of his golf course is. um, the more the more we learn about this guy, the more curious his, his story becomes. let me just take you through some of the questions that have immediately popped in my mind. why and how did this guy become soldier asked with ukraine? i mean, payroll obsession. what did he watch? what did he read? was he talking to co pay or, or, or how did he get the money to travel from hawaii to washington dc so many times and meet with leaders who gave them the money and how did they get the funds to go
9:16 pm
to cave? who was his contact in washington to put them in con, contact with gresham, his staff members who put them in touch with ukraine commander. so he went and met with, by the way, they told him he was full of crap. and you know, go away. thanks. but no thanks. i will put him in touch with potential of general quotes. i mean that's all i for some guy who he had, he hardly had any money. i mean, he was a, he was a handyman who sold some kind of sheds with wheels. had a wicked, wicked criminal history. here we are serving is the official pitch band for, for, for you claim, watch. i'm sorry, sorry. and from every country needs to come here. you know, this is an indictment of every civilians. good and evil compass, you know, if you're not here and you're sitting on your couch watching tv, then you're not doing the right thing. you know, this is about caring and kindness and, and, and loving, and altruism and everything is good in the world. this guy was interviewed all over
9:17 pm
the place he was featured in the new york times. the was it was, i counted at least 10 articles i found that have been written about him where he was made to be this incredible guy who is a kind of a hero cause of all this stuff. nobody bothered to check on him. nobody bothered to find out if he had a criminal past. shouldn't rotten here, man. i told the dollar. what's your take? well, i think we just identified his middle name. patsy. is iris right betsy route. but um, you know, the other part of it is this, the guy literally had a, um, headed conviction for possession of a weapons of mass destruction. yes. so, danny shaw and, and, and richard met her. and then, god forbid, even on tulsa, gathered an active member of the us military. they're all on the radar of the intelligence community. you know, we find out that every time chelsea, gaffer gets on a plane, there's like a bomb squad fall on her or something like, she's kind of a terrorist. but this guy who literally has
9:18 pm
a conviction for weapons of mass destruction is not on the radar of the intelligence. perhaps she is or the rate up for that these running the radar system . so he's not on the radar, but yeah it's, it's certainly points to something untoward. and you know, if there is any, you know, they have the mirror at the end and they give it to themselves in ukraine. they literally have a website where they named people that they hate and they try to rub them out and they put that across their name after they kill them. you know, you've got to get suspicious after a while as to whether they're i, you know, donald trump and r f k junior with perhaps, you know, some um, uh, you know, bad intentions or at least. yeah. and you know, by the way, just to, to, to be fair and to put a very important point on this. i don't know if you agree with me. i think you probably do. guy has every right to believe that ukraine is the victim, and that rushes the bad people and that he has every right to start this cause if
9:19 pm
he wants to in his back yard and recruiters neighbors and start this fun to help every white in the world i'm not taking that away from them. i think what i am questioning is, how does the us media fall in love with this guy without questioning anything and what they have done the same if his cause had been one, they perhaps didn't agree with. and if that's what they're doing, that's not journalism damage. that's my point. so, well, you know, and these, um, the, all of these, uh, interviews with them have the sense of planted media. you know, it looks like somebody referred him, hey, here's the guy you want to talk to, hey, listen to this guy kept going to tell me that he was involved in that. and nobody in the pentagon or nobody and intelligent as ever, looked into his history and figured out the weapons of mass destruction, possessions of interest, added a red flag. but maybe it wasn't a baby, it wasn't a red flag. maybe it was a green light coming on. well,
9:20 pm
that was good. you're having a good day. my god, i'd play the lottery or something. if i were you, you're on great point, patsy. and maybe what it was, it was a dream light. all right, so moving on, if the media on the left as americans chasing goes on foreign affairs from which they do, i would argue the media on the right. does the same thing here domestically was certainly magistrates no better example of that than what just happened in springfield, ohio. wittenberg university in springfield, canceling all in person activities on campus. after administrators said they received an e mail for aetna, a potential shooting on campus, specifically targeting members of the haitian community and in the safety of work that went out overnight to students and staff administrators. referencing that local uptake and threats against areas, schools, government buildings and hospitals. all of this since tuesday's debate, one former president trump on stage repeated that viable and local officials stressed baseless claim that haitian immigrants in springfield, ohio are stealing and eating people's pets. so here's, here's,
9:21 pm
here's my take as i thought a lot about this and watch the coverage this, this haitian phobia created by media mostly on the right and the former president. just like russia for the are created by the media mostly on the left and the present president. it's horrible trend and, and it's really a byproduct of the deterioration of our media in the united states right now. americans have stopped believing in what used to be subjective journalism. so they now sink alternatives and tell them only what they want to hear. and the government and both parties seem to validate this kind of stuff. i mean, you look, you want to develop a, an obsessive hatred with russia. just put it on this. let me see for a couple hours. i guarantee you, by the time you're done, you'll have that obsession. you want to develop an obsessive hatred of immigrants in general, legal or illegal watch those max. i guarantee you just watch for a couple hours. you'll end up with that. it's a shame that we've gotten to this place. what do you think garland as well,
9:22 pm
i think unfortunately, it also really reflects the super fishy ality of our political discussion. because if you talk about the haitians and whatever they're doing in springfield, nobody talks about why they're there correct. when he talks about the united states, what they've been doing in ation, nobody discusses that. the prime minister of haiti was a machine gun and that the off slot was found to have, have been originated from florida and is u. s. government wouldn't grab the couple of the assassins and brought them up. so let's face it. we do stabilize the just like we be stabilized so many latin american countries. the immigrants end up here, this is, this is not a name, a gate briefing crisis. this is immigration consequences of imperialism, policies didn't deliberately. d, stabilize latin american cultures. and we cannot, we talk about what's happening after they're here. but we do not talk about why they are here. like they just woke up and said, i think i'll go to america. know most of them pre,
9:23 pm
we the stabilize their entire region and wonder why they show up here. most of them didn't want to come here when my mom and dad brought me to this country. they didn't bring me here because it was their life mission to leave the country. they were born in and leave their families and leave their house behind. no, it's because something happened which necessitated their move. a lot. americans think everybody wants to come here? no, they don't. let's do me a really happy leaving and living in sweden and norway, and even on doris and mic arrival in those places until somebody comes and starts a civil war in their country. or starts guerrilla war based on, uh, on, on, on drug and uh, on the, on kind of what the actions of drug lords, etc. so that's kind of and by the way, those people in springfield, ohio who are taking a bag by all these people who don't look like them or sound like them suddenly, you know, coming into the van, ride to their, their right to, they're not bad people for thinking that, well, look, i've said this, if you talk to people in the black community,
9:24 pm
there is some issue with immigration and they see it as a laborer issue. you know, if you are in the working class or the working port. yes, that drives down the cost, the price of labor and the value of your labor, and it's going to hurt you. it's a reasonable dis, certainly reasonable discussion. but again, what we can't have in america, particularly when it comes to the ruling elite and their mouth piece is in the mainstream media is an actual discussion as to how these things happened. we got it because we blamed the image it read it gets here. we don't blame the person that went and tried to turn their country into a banana factory so they couldn't do anything decent to make a living or own of land to even subsistence farm anymore or, or door. and then you're say, we shouldn't blame the emigrant. you're right, but we also shouldn't call all those people who live in springfield, ohio who are upset because they should have taken over their community races because they're not right. so they're both. yes. both victims of the you of a thing. go and see that we're not even allowed to discuss. yeah,
9:25 pm
we just gotta have village as well. either, either the haitians or villains because they're here read your pets or something, or whatever we can make up. or the people who say, hey, i got a problem with, there's all these people wandering around in here and there's problems. oh, you're just a racist, you know, whatever that example the fill in the right wing. crazy. now, by the way, ever since a debate, we've been waiting for poll that gives us a read on the election. and while there have been a lot of snap polls, which we ignore because i don't think snapples tell us anything. there's also been some questionable polls or are there, there are no, a couple of them. i think that are noteworthy. i think possibly the most noteworthy one is the one that just came out from the des moines register, which is a very credible poll in a credible paper. and they basically are saying that while a trump used to be winning their by 18 points, he's now winning iowa by only 4 points, 47 to 43. that look that i'll just be honest with you. that is not good news. and if i was handling the trump campaign right now, i would be very concerned about that. this is a place where you should be winning by a ton,
9:26 pm
because these are kids voters. these are generally white anglo saxon people who have voted for him and drugs in the past. and this could be a pattern. that's what i think. what do you think are like? well, a couple of things. historically, if you follow poles and elections generally, all elections of the closer you get to the election, the tighter the numbers get about. however, historically, i was a, you know, reading some info on, on, on trumps a from voters history. and what you notice is, keep traditionally outperforms to polls, because there are a lot of people that if you ask them, are you going to vote for truck new? i'm not going to go for drugs. and, you know, ultimately they do. so i would say argue you could probably give truck $2.00 to $3.00 percentage points, additional different people who won't admit that they vote for him. we'll really vote for and yeah, right. yeah. out of the apple. he does out perform the polls. okay. 2016. by the way, i'm not saying he's going to lose iowa. this is not a story about who's going to way. it's a story about how you go from winning by 18 to suddenly winning by 4. and if that
9:27 pm
trend holds and other places, this could be, this could spell trouble. and i think that's, that, that's a legitimate observation. that's all. yeah. all right, great. thank you. my friend, we're out of time. but you know what? i can do this all day with you. you're, you're, you're a good guy, you're a smart guy. thanks for sharing your ideas with the, with us and helping us better consider some of the stories that we've been looking at this week. thanks again. so you got it. thank you. that's our show. remember to always be looking outside of your own box, just we like to say truth. don't live in boxes. i'm rick sanchez. will be looking for you again. the, [000:00:00;00]

the middle of the 20th century, the portuguese colonial empire was in an acute crisis. a particularly 10 situation had developed in mozambique the people of this country were put in a humiliating position, income inequality ramp, and illiteracy. this respect by the portuguese for the local traditions led to a mass unrest. in 1964, the liberation front of mozambie for a limo began its arm struggle for freedom. the regular army was not easy to resist, but the guerrillas inflicted considerable damage on the invaders through the fighters against the colonial regime were supported by the soviet union and china. whereas the united states and great britain took the side of the invaders board to
