and really, thank you for taking the time to pull all lavar reports together -- pull all of our reports together. mr. mcdonnell: thank you very much. it moving again, item number six. a press conference. based on lots of discussion and exploration with the city attorney around options, they are fairly limited in that while we do want to find a suitable, formal moment of issuing of the report, the problem is if we do it collectively, that it constitutes a meeting. once it constitutes a meeting, we are back where we started again. so our options are, a, we hold a press conference with less than a quorum present, which therefore does not constitute a meeting and we issue it, or to

report its issued and a less public, less formal, less visible way and just gets distributed to committee and habitants. discussion? >> i have a suggestion. i suggest we hold a press conference with share mcdonnell and vice chair lam, and maybe a couple other task force members would be willing to participate in that so we would have at least a public presentation of the final map and the result. mr. mcdonnell: thank you. mr. alonso: or perhaps we could have john did a press conference on his own, provided he has time, since he is not an official member of the task force. mr. mcdonnell: okay, and obviously we would have to explore that with him. we cannot commit him at this

moment. atmr. lee: i do think it is important, in whatever way, to get the word out quickly, based on the same issues that member pilpel reyes, there are a number of implications that will move quis in our interest and the city's interest for people to know what they're voting, when they did not expect to be voting, and vice versa, not to mention all of the other political activity. i think a press conference would be good. i am find myself with not attending the press conference, but i think we need to do whatever we can to spread the word quickly and widely. ms. mondejar: i'm not really sure bridget ms. melara: i agree this information has to get out to the media and as many people as possible, as soon as possible. by tomorrow, this will be old news, so a press conference is

probably it less than effective. it is more trying to get the information out. mr. mcdonnell: thank you. any other comments? i wouldn't say whether it is a press conference or not, the idea is it is a moment of idea distribution. i don't want to get caught up on the language of "press." mr. pilpel: perhaps since we have issued press releases before, if we could just issue a short release saying that we have adopted this matter and report, distribute that to anyone we could think of it as a beginning, we certainly have seen some coverage today. i don't know of the board of supervisors would want you to make a short presentation at a meeting on tuesday, to just say,

i will not be back in ten years. >> one last word then if i may. last kind of prerogative of the chair. again, it's been really a plesh working with each of you as i commented a moment ago there were many who expected this to turn into some kind of political fight of progressives and moderates and everybody in between on opposite sides and it did not materialize because we didn't allow it to materialize. so i really appreciate each of you for that. and again, to kay and -- who was

everywhere all the time which was just incredible and we appreciate that, to the city attorney's office, just incredible support, always available and always supporting us nudging us when we were getting too close to boundries in any respect. and our consultants have provided both technical assistance and advice and often led us when we weren't sure where we were going. so i really appreciate that. so to that end, kind of my own. one of the things that we subscribe to at united way where i serve by day which i now get to return to my day job as chief operating officer of united way, is we talk about living united. that that's what we try to instill and catalyze in our communities. everyone owning and being trustees of community and i feel like this task force and all that have supported have done the same.

lookout for hawks and other bird life. take your camera and be prepared for views that you will not soon forget. this summer, there were beautiful red rock formations and are perfect to relax with someone special while you watch the sunrise over the bay. this is another one of our great luck out. and we are at mount davidson. it has the highest point of elevation in san francisco heading 928 feet. this is the place for you to bring someone special. don't forget the dogs and enjoy all the pathways and trails that surround you. >> that provides a peaceful oasis of public open space and great hiking trails. >> the spectacular view offers a perfect place to watch the sunrise.

it is a popular spot for strolling as well as hot boats that can be rented at the boathouse. created in 1893, it was designed for it, got for horse-drawn carriages. that surrounds a strawberry hill island and the wild strawberries once flourished. 110 ft waterfalls, and they connect the strawberry hill island where they fall of the shoreline and climb the highest point at more than 400 feet. you can still catch a glimpses of the western side of the city that makes the hilltop here romantic luck out. for public transit, take the train. it has a peaceful atmosphere where you could enjoy the warm

san francisco de. watch many lighting. it is a tranquil spot to stroll and enjoy the company, rent a boat, and sail away. many couples come to take a boat ride around the lake. passing the chinese pavilions and of the waterfalls. making for a very memorable and a magical experience. located on nineteenth avenue, the wondrous growth is the place to wear your hiking boots, bring the family, don't forget the dog. there are so many strolls to offer you and your loved ones. it is a truly hidden gem in the city. the park is rich with eucalyptus trees.

that allows you to meander around the trees and there are perfect for the wooded environment. >> i enjoy the history behind the space. the diversity of major out here in the city and the concrete streets and cars, we have this oasis of the natural environment that reminds us. >> there is plenty of parking. plentiful transit on the 23, 28, or 91 buskin the there easily. and the park is 88 accessible. on the west as high in lake, one of the few remaining natural lakes. this is your chance to stroll around the lake hand in hand and let the kids run free. there are many birds to watch.
