san franciscan i've lived in the tenderloin for 12 years. i love san francisco and i really would love the opportunity to help san francisco. i have the necessary talent and time and emergency it would take to help san francisco. i am curly work and voluntary with central city. i'm a tenant organizer for about 3 years i'm now the preparedness organizer. i give one hour workshops in hotels about once a month. i work with the tmc. currently i'm one of 5 divorce that are involved in the

tenderloin prehistoric commission. it's like having the stores implement and buying healthy food prices. we don't have a supermarket in the tenderloin and we lose a lot of money that's jarntdz outside the tenderloin and i think it's very, very important the money stay in the tenderloin. i'm sorry i'm a little bit nervious. i have a passion and dedication and that's one thing if you ask people who i work with i never ever miss a meeting and whether that's good or bad that's a

i like to get people involved. a lot of times people who move in are scared or just don't know what life it like in the tenderloin so it's important not to give guided tours but to put a human face and have them work with people. and i don't mean getting a broom

and sweep the streets. but to get people to help transport people to and from the hospital. since we don't have a supermarket a lot of people take transportation to get to safe way but a lot of people are forced to go outside our neighborhood because of the prices if we could pardon up with a taxi service. whether or not that would be implemented it would be extremely important >> and for those of you who are not familiar with that

organization it's latino and boys and girls club. you'll see them out after school additional adults at different corners

. >> i sit on the hiv prevention council and i want to make sure that hi desk needles that are found in the gutters and stuff they have a place to put them they have pilot boxes but they're not where they need to be. the kids are out for the summer i had a friend of mine mention here grandchild picked up one. so i'm part of the alliance for district 66. i do graffiti removal. whatever san francisco needs it's been good to me. hopefully, i'll be going back to a work for my second interview

anyhow. i'm nervous. i'm horrify i'm curious what you would like to advocate for in the neighborhood >> well, hopefully, just like fresh vengeance in the civic center they have the farmer's market and i was just thinking maybe some of the streets that are you know the worse parts of the tenderloin area maybe we can hook up with some of the company's to have a farmer's market on some streets, you know, on mason between eddy and

turk. we have the safe passage and stuff but maybe moving the ambassador up into the tenderloin area. probably because i volunteer that the castro community patrol. and maybe i can bring that down into the area i live in and so - did that answer your question >> yeah. it did. >> and i want to mention open space hopefully somehow is a they could bring - their building and building and building and maybe open up some of the parks because their building something on mooz and i

>> i'm kevin i'm here in support of mr. tense. he has a lot of compassion and passion important the neighborhood especially for kids. not too many people are involved with the safe packaging but he's compassionate and i'm passionate about kids, too. he's lived in the tenderloin for will 11 years now. living in the tenderloin he definitely get a lot of experience living here because you experience the good and the bad here. while there's a lot of bad things in the neighborhood i believe that steven has the talent and this to make a good

itself tennis accreditation represents the seniors coalition folks. and we have buildings in the intend lion area. we strongly recommended the individuals to be appointed peter for seat 2 and seat 3 steven seat 57 brad paul and seat 7 julian dash and seat 9 jeff and seat 10 or leveling jerold banks and we're speaking on behalf of these as being stakeholders they'll come to the community and done a large number even if things. i appreciate all the folks who

have applied but some of them don't come to the hearing to be appointed because if they're not here for this meeting how will they make the meetings. any other public comments >> seeing none, public comments are now closed. you know what i'd like to do is this impacts supervisor kim's district and i'd like to hear our thoughts. there have so many qualified people that have come to us today >> i would like to make some recommendations to the rules committee and i don't envy you

guys for it's amazing how much people want to serve our city and want to be engaged. i am lucky i represent an amazing district. i want to make the following recommendations for seat 2 peter and for seat 3 steve. steve has been at his job thirty years and they really impact the south of marketing and our city citywide. and, of course, peter used it be a bit an organizer. for seat 5 i'd like to recommended brad you paul who

has a wide variety of land use policies. he also worked at the mayors offices and works with developers so he knows how to make policy. for seat 7 i'm recommending julian dash. he works to correct with the neighborhood. when he was at the trail head i saw use come out of his

seat 9 jeff. i saw gail was here i assume she was here to speak on your behalf >> i'm sorry did i get that wrong . they've both been incredibly

involved around public safety and are pretty well known in the community. so i know you're looking for another place to be activity. i like that steven lives in the tenderloin and annette lives in the market area. consider jackson our office is going to work with you. i wish i'd known of your application. but those are my recommendations and i would suggest we take the motion for the policy waiver >> supervisor breed and a thank you supervisor kim for providing guidance in this effort. i didn't know mr. banks by mr.

bank he says he's known by gerald banks on this list. i know how active you are but also i support her leadership in this decision because she's mostly making the decisions for the districts she's representative. i like to look at the the colleagues but i am impressed by the applicants. by what they had to say about the work they're doing in the community. also i can speak to annette personally and i remember how commented you were and how active you were and you were

actively impaneled and showed a lot of leadership. so i'm happy you're going to be continuing your service in another capacity. with that i'd like to a first of all, move the residents waiver requirement for brad paul and move the recommendation of the various seats by supervisor >> first of all, do we have to move the waiver. >> could you please adopt a residents waiver for mr. brad paul. >> this is a motion for that. and a second. move forward. i think we have a motion to approve the nomination for seating two peter. for seat 3 steven and seat 8
