for any parent looking for a preschool, it is a daunting experience. i looked at more preschools that i can remember. when i went into the little school, this is very much like mine. little did i know that i would develop a close relationship with her. for the first time, i actually saw a classroom that brought in children from all walks of life. i'm one of them to see children with disabilities and i wanted

them to be run children who are different and diverse and families that are different and diverse. it took me a while to get in because i did not get a accepted at first. i cannot think you could -- thank you enough for what you've done for me and my children. it is amazing, the people who love you.

i would like to hang kevin for 8 years of stellar service. he has had to pee a diplomat, a tour guide, and politician and managing all the different demonstrations. working well with the sheriff's department and colleagues and the police department. captain was really an ambassador for city hall. this was for many people the first individual they would come in contact with. he represented very well through a lot of different situations. he is now part of the tactical unit.

i lost my son to homicide and 2006. again, it is a shame that we have to use it and were murdered children so that we can get attention. our children need jobs. if this takes us getting some resolution, even though we don't have justice for other children and mothers and fathers out there and young girls to get off the street and get a job, this is a good thing for us. this is a little bit of justice for us. i asked about people being

discriminated against. i feel this all the time. i am african-americans and i'm proud of my heritage. -- i am african-american. we have other mothers and fathers that are collecting now -- that are latino. it takes our children's blood for other children to get jobs. i am asking you to please think about it and please don't forget about our children. we love our children and we still need our children. please don't forget our children. i think about the people that are out there on the streets and

that it is someone who is sympathetic. i'm a member of the alice griffith housing development. we need a mayor who will not be so proud that he would not think about the hardships. so, we want someone who can look at everyone's situation and try to help. i know that he will not be a genius but he will do the best he can under all the circumstances that are presented to him and i know that you are a group of people that can do this. it is a new, you can do this because all of you who are up here have some of those characteristics that we are

looking for in a good mayor. we need a mayor to do that. considered a mere allow poor people to get jobs. consider that kind of mayor. considered a mere touch consider the mayor who will help those who don't have money. we want to thank you for all the support you have given the community.

the leadership who will support our value resources and i deem our youth in this city and counties of san francisco to be one of our most valuable resources. many of our youth are dropping out of school because of they don't have the support at home. they are getting involved in violent acts and coming into our legal system. i'm asking that we get leadership here in the mayor's office that is going to support after-school programs, that is going to support youth job and youth development. so i ask this evening that whoever you're going to have step into the position of interim mayor, that that person really be sensitive to the needs of our youth today. thank you.

also, somebody that's very conscious about a need for a sustainable environment, so our future generations have something to look forward to. and also, a candidate that is -- prioritizes equity. like in the budget process for public education as well as the endorsing strong committee values. there's a lot of committee groups out here that are doing a lot of work. for you guys to be aware of them and to back what they're doing. ultimately it's going to be the people of san francisco that are actually implementing changes for the city and creating the city that we want. so to be very aware of what the people want is what we're looking for. thank you. president chiu: thank you. next speaker. >> hi. my name is ilid and i'm an excelsior resident. i also wanted to tell you that i work with youth. i know they're not old enough to vote, however, their voices still should be heard.
