>> public transport is a good environment. >> there's one thing we had at the bottom of the hill. the beastie boys played and it went out on the radio. played. it was supposed to be a private event. at 1000 showed up and it was a disaster. i don't know what is going to happen here. i don't really want to be held as possible for something really

1:09 am
you lost me for about 10 minutes. with your expertise, it was incredible for this type of event. it is a very sensitive area, to be able to have that kind of expertise and ask the right question, and it is great. i hope you pull this off. president newlin: commissioner meko? commissioner meko: no more comment. president newlin: the only thing i want to say with regard to this really quickly, we have come out of a recession. the city wide events that engaged people and businesses that put our city in front of the news has got to be good for everyone. small businesses, jobs, it has to be good for income. i encourage these events.

students have exactly what they need and working closely with the city. i think we also have some great opportunities with commissioner wynns. i will be sitting on the transition team and we will be sharing the voice of san francisco with him as well. with some of our other large superintendent organizations will continue to be one of the seven school districts that taught closely with the federal government and secretary duncan. norman and i will ensure that leadership is followed and that we represent the unified school district and a very professional manner. would you like to say?

proposal, so in some ways, we can breathe a sigh of relief to make some commitment not to go after that spending. i hope that that remains very solid. when we look at the proposal of the spending cuts and the extension of taxes, it will be required for voter approval. there is a vision now. the fact that there is a plan laid out, it will not be a band- aid approach, we need to have long-term planning here. we have to submit budgets, so we
