i work with families and organize them so that they can be an advocate. i advocate for families in terms of the city and other community organizations. being an immigrant, i feel like i can be a strong advocate for families. and as i am sure you all can imagine, families have very distinct and specific needs. i believe the families deserve a voice. i feel like i will be a good candidate for that position. supervisor kim: any questions? i think many times, people don't realize who lived in the buildings. i think it is really important

i have been providing medical cannabis since 2004. a member of asa and ten collectives in san francisco. my goal in being on this task force is how we can overall better serve the needs of patients. more specifically, how can we move this industry out of the shadows and into the light through regulation had permitting. and i hope we can bridge the gap between cultivators in the building and planning department to provide a safer gardens, and generate revenues for the city and possibly reducing the workload of the san francisco police department.

patient that feels like they have something to communicate. willing to defend the rights of all cultivators. willing to place free service for community members. willing to support berkeley cultivators by developing provisions of this successfully pushed for. but could not be here today. the first version of the nursery safety guidelines, to make the presentation during a police commission meeting in defense of safe access. i am a stranger to risk or hard work. i did not choose my friends based on income level. i love what i do.

i will try to be brief. i support stewart for this. asked you to appoint him not for his education are that he is articulate or long winded, but because he is persistent, which might be the most important asset he brings. >> i am a member of an advocate group, and i have seen stewart's work a lot. i cannot say enough good things about kathy and stephen the reality of life is that it is the number one cash crop. if we don't understand that, the pharmaceutical companies and big businesses are chomping at the

i met stuart five months ago, and he gave me hope. i can't take pain pills because the right side of my heart is dead. he gives it unconditionally and he goes out of his way to not only deal with medical marijuana. he deals with the community into the people liked to work on this team. he is reaching out to people he doesn't -- that don't even know about medical marijuana. you're looking at a person that is facing a very serious operation. he has been there 100% for me. i will be here. >> good afternoon, supervisors.

i have worked with stored for about a year-and-a-half. but he was chairman under the working group. he proved to be an extremely effective leader and concentrated on the issues that were relevant to cultivation. he was involved in discussions of the way through the current topics. i cannot imagine someone that is better qualified. i have enjoyed and look forward to discussions on the come in the rest of the community. i'm also the vice chair of the cultivation committee. we had a vote that was made in favor and zero not in favor. >> i currently set on the task

focused on the issue of medical marijuana. it is important that we move forward. i have watched many of my friends that have gone through chemotherapy. and they look for alternatives and to manage the pain and recovery. it is important for us to continue this conversation and dialogue. may we entertain a motion? supervisor elsbernd: to both of you, to john stuart, with the tremendous flood of support, we're happy to make a motion to support him on the task force.

i am going to call for the applicants in the order that they are listed on the agenda. >> i would like to say the other side of the farm was more pedestrian. i dunno what form your talking about. since it is a pedestrian 10, when of the originals that were appointed to the advisory committee back in april of 2003, it was under the bicycle seat because it was on the board for the bike program. there have been other seats.

there were other staff people there for years. since 2005, also, i was the president of the neighborhood committee for a least a couple of years. i moved from my favorite part of the neighborhood. i am in the soma area. that is one of the reasons why i still want to stay on the pedestrian safety advisory committee. thank you for bringing up about a week and a half ago, some of the issues regarding -- it is not safe. i come from a area that is pretty safe to an area that is not safe. another reason why i am here, we have a new group that i call the number generation.

i am asking that i'd be reappointed to the senior disability community. i was in seat 8 when i moved from district 1. when i was appointed to the senior disability see, i did talk to susan and have gone through and disability council meeting at least twice. a member of the committee in reaching out. i have also talked to a member of senior groups. and if i am reappointed, we plan to reach out to more of the disability senior community. last year, i had the pleasure of serving as chair of the pedestrian safety advisory committee. that was the first time we presented a report to the board of supervisors that was heard by the
