>> ahs the economist -- i wrote the economic section. we put forward the idea of creating a revenue bond oversight committee. i was nominated to this in 2003. i would like to be reappointed to the remaining months from november. i would like to be reappointed for the reasons we have discussed today.

this is the continuity and the revenue oversight committee. the article i referred to may be found with this system -- and i have a copy here. i think that this is a very good read -- and this was published by the urban water institution, and i have also written elsewhere -- including the economic section in 2002, the task force report. when i would like to see happen for the revenue oversight committee in my remaining

months is to have this disciplinary group, this group proposal. and i would like to see the committee hold public reach out meeting as prescribed in the legislation. i am always available to meet with you and your colleagues on this issue, i have done so in the past. and when my supervisor was here -- we used to have regular meetings. commission of the revenue oversight committee is to make certain that all regular bonds as expanded -- are expended for the purposes of a cost-effective way. there is a lot of money in the

revenue bonds that is upcoming. this is about $5 billion or $4 billion, this is unclear. this may be a considerable amount. my concern is a lot of programs are not on budget with the least possible cost -- i did not know if this is still operational. we created a group -- the transparency committee, and we ask them to discuss these

committee. i spent the first part of my career on wall street's -- working at merrill lynch. according to the new york city comptroller's office. for the last 20 or so years, i have been a finance and accounting professional. in this city i work for a startup with online gaming, which is obviously an emerging market. we are hiring another 10 people which i am certain you are happy to hear in san francisco. >> why not 20 people? >> we are looking for the space. in addition to my experience, i have an interest in public service.

i was just reported to continue in that role for the next year. the serving on a committee like this will allow me to bring my expertise and my experience to bear on making certain that the public money is spent affectively, and for the right purpose. and i hope that my skills -- in catching different things will help. and we will not waste this money. i thank you for the opportunity to be here today. >> i do have a quick question. the members appointed should have expertise in economics and project management. can you touch on your experience in any of those areas. >> clearly, in economics, i have

a good background. we have the various areas on the economic side. the project touches me from a professional standpoint. this is as opposed to a water system or a public utility. but my experience is probably most relevant because this was expected to be a vertical solar company. being a financial controller for this company, we were building some solar farms in canada and i was instrumental in this. this does provide some debt experience for the construction

my thoughts. >> this is not a specific requirement. were you notified that he would be accepted before hand? in all fairness -- >> we may have had a bad number for you. >> the notion is fine. if this was a requirement i would have taken care of this. i think that the discussion that i did have with the person who called -- i did get a callback from someone and they were on the board of supervisors. i do not quite know exactly what this meant. they spoke to me about my background and my interests. at this time, we left that, we had to have rules committee.

the messages came to me yesterday or the day before. and there was really not time for me to get in touch with him, most likely on the phone. but this is up to you in terms of your preference. i think i am a quick learner and a quick study, and we will get up to speed very quickly. they seem quite anxious to fill the seat and get on with the work. there are a lot of things happening, and i think that they have had someone on a carryover basis for some time. i am flexible. >> they would like to me before confirming the appointment. i would prefer to continue this and we can bring this back immediately on june 3. this is june 2.

supervisor's office to talk about this ordinance. >> thank you. >> i am sorry that you were waiting. >> this ordinance, i believe it is very clear. this is the redistricting task force. after the census from 2010 and the announcement of this showed that the population in these districts had changed, we decided to have the task force convened. this ordinance was introduced at the first meeting available after the director of the department of elections reported this to the memo that i referred to. we have the full board of the committee report. this is one step in the process for this committee. the committee will, in june -- they will have appointments for the task force, and i am certain that they are aware that they
