first begun ♪ just a little over a week ago, our world changed upside- down for both of the valerio and the perez family and for the family of the san francisco fire department. today, with heavy hearts and yet with a great sense of love and pride, we bring vinnie and tony before god and we honor them for their service and the gift of their lives to the people of san francisco. our celebration today will be in english and in spanish at the family's request.

and indeed, as we join in prayer, we want to show our support and our love for them especially. the catholic tradition, we begin our celebration with recalling our baptism in which we became members of the larger family, the family of christ's church. in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit. >> amen.. blessed be god the father of or lord jesus christ. the father of all consolation. he comforts us in all of our afflictions and sufferings and gives us the courage to comfort one another with the assurance of our faith. and i bless tony's body with this water, that recalls his baptismal sharing in christ jesus. he shared in the power of christ's death, and he shares
