ago. >> the families were escorted in after the caskets were brought to the front of the church before they pro sessed n and then they they are being let in to pay their respects inside the church. i imagine outside agencies will be standing outside the church or watching on video in alternate locations. >> we see a lot of police officers coming in. we see firefighters and now members of the marine corps coming in. >> lieutenant perez was a marine. then he became a firefighter and police officer. so he, you know, has served us so well. >> and now the pallbearers making their way up the steps into the cathedral here at st. mary's. ♪ [ music ] >> tough time now for the families, i'm sure. ♪ we shall be changed

first begun ♪ just a little over a week ago, our world changed upside- down for both of the valerio and the perez family and for the family of the san francisco fire department. today, with heavy hearts and yet with a great sense of love and pride, we bring vinnie and tony before god and we honor them for their service and the gift of their lives to the people of san francisco. our celebration today will be in english and in spanish at the family's request.
