show to the most recent headliner, filthy rich, when booking shows, the record room has ignorance for the well-being of merchants and residents alike. several police reports have been filed with regard to property damage over the last two years, including the cost of replacement of the front window when a standing ashtray was used to smash it after hours. and dirty tricks has earned a reputation as a place to unwind after a long hard shift, and crowds from the rock-and-roll make that impossible. the foundation from my business, the local regulators and -- the local irregulars, are afraid to step foot on my block. the staff at the dirty tricks

are also local residents. they are afraid to step outside and go home when a rocket room patrons refused to disperse. dirty tricks closes early due to police action and/or fights at least once every other week. the other businesses and open at night suffer as well. i have personally experienced hot smoke coming into the walls of my store room, watched hand- to-hand drug deals out front as well as people carrying open containers. in the past, police recommendations regarding the rocket room have been ignored. to repeat the same actions and expect a different outcome is the definition of insanity. do not let its suffer the same fate as fishermans wharf did not. please step in now and correct

and possible action to review entertainment commissions. >> sort of the same but sorts of different. this permit holder has come to the staff's attention on occasion but in this case not because of a violent incident, but more than anything on a consistent complaint from the neighbors on either side, and they have become very frustrated, and i know they have been in communication with the police department on the inglewood side, but they came to meet with staff from the entertainment commission three weeks or so ago, and we offered the opportunity to do something similar to what you have just done with their neighbor, so

hopefully they are here again, because the request was based on their need to be heard. i do not know if you want to elucidate the kinds of things we have seen lately, but there is not a litany of citations. i am not even sure if we have issued one, but from the neighbors, you will hear the stories for conditions. when we asked people to come to commission, we do it in writing, and we did offer an interpreter. we did not get their response in the affirmative, so i hope they are here, and i hope they are here with somebody that can understand you. are they? can you ask?

is it that just now othey are changing the music now? what has changed? us this has been an issue for a long term. -- this has been an issue for a long time. they were cited last year on february 7. there has been lots of notices going out. we have not gotten a lot of responses back. with lack of response, you are not sure if they did or did not. that is a valid question. this has been an issue a long time, and neighbors have reached the breaking point.
