relies on yellow school buses, and given that the majority are from hunters point, it is critical that they continue to provide school buses. we work hard to close achievement gaps for african american and socially disadvantaged students. was informed by the deputy superintendent, we are in contact with the educational policy analyst to provide collaborative input into the proposed school bus routes. we respect the district is forced to make difficult choices and appreciate that we can work together for creative solutions to ensure diversity, access, and expertise for all san francisco family'ies.

not cut bus service because my dad will be late for work, and my mom will have to quit her job to take him to work every day. i am learning chinese. i do not care about the budget cuts. all i know is the district is thinking about not letting buses go to bayview and hunters point. told about it, and they will be attending. migrate these will be in kindergarten, and the opportunity they have to bridge the cut between the communities to learn cantonese and mandarin. as working parents, my husband will be late for work to drop her off, and i also would not be able to have a job because i would have to bring her back to bayview when the bus service has been there for us for the last 12 or 13 years. i also feel it is safe for my children to ride the bus, because there's a lot of crime, and i feel safe.

it takes a community to raise children, and i believe the bus service is part of a community, so please do not cut services. thank you. proposal to eliminate buses, being that the largest number of african-american population, out of a view, and richard -- come out of bayview, and about a week ago we were crunching numbers. they verbayview has the numbersf them, seven-one, so we have quite an impact on the community in terms of black population moving into an adjacent schools, so we are asking you to give us an idea of how you came up with those numbers and to reverse the decision. give i will close with this.

the students did go there are bused from bayview. they have 550 students enrolled right now, so that would bee 50 slots but would be lost, and thanks to the effort to close the gap in educational disparity between african-american and hispanic students compared to the other ethnic groups, this would go against everything he had built up over the last five years that he has been our superintendent, and i would recommend they reconsider this issue.

year. we will have something in writing by this friday. we want to thank you for coming out this evening. >> my name is eric heaters. gooare have worked there for 12 years and served on the council for several years. i have a letter detailing the concerns of several staff members and a vote to retain her. we are submitting circumstances. our schools help us through last spring. they assured us we would have an interview process last year. they were support until we started inquiring about the process.

our request for meetings and help have been ignored. our requests have gone unanswered. the district of not notified about whether or not we are going to have an interview process. the signatures recommend almost half are concerned staff. some of our co-workers supported but felt uncomfortable signing. we are asking that you support. we are looking forward to getting your advice. thank you for your time. >> i am here to ask that they have the right to interview. i am a former parent, and my question about the mission of the school. the district let us know they had an interim principal for our school.

the district stated they would have an opportunity to interview other candidates as well as or interim principal. they showed and up with a human resources representative to let us know we have five days. it was very rushed. i feel it is my eighth duty -- it is my duty to represent my community. i have many families leaving the school next year, and i have parents who have invited -- confided they are afraid to speak up. i believe our leadership is lacking accountability for the community and the children we serve.
