dbi. you can also ask the director to have legislation go to the code advisory committee and come to the building inspection commission so you can comment on it, but -- you can express an opinion and a forward that to the board of supervisors. but you do not have any direct authority over it. >> any further pressure comments? -- any further commissioner comments? >> it's an amendment to the san francisco environment code. chapter 23. i don't know of that's going to come to us or not. it looks like it's going to be an amendment. >> thank you.
2:31 am
>> i have a question regarding the item before that. the potential building code amendment. the california building code regarding open lateral white. i see on the status it was on the code advisory committee with the recommendation proposed today but it's not on our agenda. was it that the code advisory committee? >> it was discussed at the subcommittee. >> i thought i might add one more thing about legislation since there were a number of
2:32 am
items today that do not technically come before the bic. there were a lot of changes that affected the planning department and planning commission but they had no direct say over it. there was a move to move with the president and board of supervisors to create a rule of the board of supervisors will book that says that there will be legislation in amending the administrative code that will affect the planning commission are planning department, the board can't act on it for 30 days in order to give the planning commission an opportunity to comment on it. it might be something you would want to consider, something similar like that and see if the board president was willing to put forward a similar thing in the rulebook for the board.
2:33 am
>> thank you. that is something i would like to have further discussion on. >> this is something we could put on a future agenda, the building inspection commission, we could legendize it as an item to seek additional ways for the building inspection commission to comment on legislation that would affect the department. >> why don't we talk about that at a future hearing and work on the language? >> update on permit tracking system. >> i am glad the report that we are 40% complete with the project and we are on schedule. currently, we are working on

2:35 am
displayed? what kind of user flow do we want? we will reportwe also have manys identified for the analysis sessions which would be created by the system and priorotize those reports. we also continue on interface analysis and data analysis and all the things we reported on to you. everything is on track. it is going well. >> just a quick point. there was nothing -- for this when this is up and running. 2:38 am
i want to give the update for what we are trying to do -- you hear the three-hour report. i appreciate the deputy director and the manager -- to help and get that thing through. we want to hire a staff for the three hour report. we had 15 days and want t oget it done more. we have the active director to do this service and you heard about code enforcement. today -- we have the inspector

2:40 am
building. we will prioritize them in the conditiosn thens. we have a vacant building in good shape. a yellow one that needs repair. we have a red vacant building. we will also add an area of light. some of these buildings will be mroe proactive. not doing anything about the light. we want to report the condition of the buildings. we are working on categorizing that. we had tony grecco to oversee the list so we can stay on top of the list. we asked the housing inspector to visit these sites.
2:41 am
monitoring them for blight, if there is blight that exists. >> thank you, inspector. >> also -- you know. every director -- he has set up co-analysis meetings. a technical service to uniform the order. how to make everyone apply the building code. i have -- they are staying to assist me to the technical computer system. either a new system or the m.i.s. any other questions let me know what you want me to do on it.
2:42 am

2:44 am
happy transpride. we're a lot of times we have different opinions and over the course of a year, sometimes we have different perspectives, disagreements, but this is the time of year when we come together as one community so that we can move forward together. and that includes the entire diversity of the we're community. please always know that i will stand with the transcommunity for employment rights, to end health care discrimination against this community and we are going to move forward together. now i have the great honor of introducing someone who i learned politics and how to be an elected official and that is our great snarkts mark lone.

next year. it has been a real honor, privilege and pleasure working with the transcommunity going back to my days on the board of supervisors when we formed the first transgender civil rights implementation task force from which came the first of its kind local ordinance making sure that there was equal access to the county health plan for our transgender employees of san francisco. when we got to sacramento, one of our first bills was to amend the california fair employment and housing act to include gender identity. so we have had an inclusive employment and housing nondiscrimination act here in california since 2003 and i'm very confident that when we re-elect barack obama and make sure that nancy pelosi is once
2:47 am
again speaker of the house of representatives, that we'll have an incruste collusive employment nondiscrimination act out of washington, d.c. finally. so have a great time this weekend. be safe. be smart. celebrate who we are in every form and every fashion and let me say that our individual and collective voices will not be silent until every human being has his or her life fully respected, dignified and validated, which is every one's birthright. so thank you for coming out this afternoon. now it is my pleasure to introduce the first and the only mayor of san francisco to be at a transmarch rally, not just for his first time, but there hasn't been a june of his administration that he has not been here and i would place a strong bet that there won't be

haigt asbury. i'm really proud to be here. people told me i'm the first outside sexual member of the board of supervisors and i'm happy to stand here in solidarity with the transcommunity. i think the sun has come out is a sign the universe is saying yes to transgendered equality and rights. we stand in solidarity with the sun and all of you today. happy pride. have a wonderful party. >> i just wanted to say i wanted to invite -- up here. without se cillia, she is one of the founders, one of the original people that actually brought communities together to make transpride possible. not only that, she is a transidentified --
2:54 am
>> give it up for cecillia. >> well, i love you guys. it is great to see that this event continues to grow. it is on a shoe string budget. it is great to see that now we have all the airlines and everybody coming from different parts of the country just to attend and there are so many events happening also in different cities. so it shows, you know, that if we continue this, we will show everyone we can win this war on discrimination. cool. >> this is very overwhelming. i'm robert chief and i'm the park's supervisor in the parks in the sunset district. i've been working here for 3 years. we are 60-70 street below street level. the 64 acre park. the park is divided into 2 sections we are in the stern area. when you get over to pine lake meadow and pine lake, pine lake is considered a natural area. in 1847, the green family came
2:56 am
out here, back then this was kind of an empty canyon and sand dun area. they claimed this property. in 1892. george green who's a second generation built the truckdaro club house. there was a hotel then. it was said this was the place to go if you were weary of the dirty city and the police. there were a couple of gun fights the front door has bullet holes. i don't ever repair them. 1931 stig mond bought the property from the green family. she donated it to the city of san francisco and had a specification, i'm giving it to the city that will be used forever for the enjoyment forever of the people of the city of san francisco.
2:57 am
it has ever since. every summer the stern grove association in san francisco rec and parks put on 10 free concerts. usually people come out at 10 in the morning it's a family affair. everybody is on the lawn with picnics and it's free. anybody can come out. it's a great way to spend a sunday. >> goes to 1-2 in the afternoon and runs until 5. [music]. thanks to the stern grove association they renovated the concert meadow. it used to be a rolling grafsy area. put in a new stage and stage building. they put in terraces. we get from 8,000 to 12,000 people. and the meadow next to the concert meadow is full of people
2:58 am
even though they can't see the music they hear it. i walked into the meadow several times and they don't even care. we do have literally events going on day and night. the concert association has kids days during the week. the performers come out for hundred 200 kids. now, the truckadero truck house gets rented out for weddings and retirement. the croquet clubs and horse shoes. 2 play grounds, tennis courts. we have from 25 to a hundred dogs here. it's like bisons going across the mid west. there are so many dogs they are covering the ground cht it's a get together. all the dog walkers know each
2:59 am
other. if you go to pine lake day camp now, you will see 50 kids there. the r directors are wonder. >> the pine lake is natural. they take of the area around the lake. they plant natives that are drought tolerant. one that stands the dry summers here. the whole park is under going quite a bit of reconstruction. they will renovate the trails around the lake. and the big project is the capital project for pine lake meadow. they are going to returf the dog run and the meadow by the day camp. we are
