i am not sure where the breakdown happened. we can investigate how and why they were just notified. this is not our protocol. >> it gets mailed to a pretty wide area of residence all the way round. if they had concerns, it would do -- there was a hearing at the planning department before it came here. the planning department said this business was allowed. that was easily 30 days. are posting after that is 10 days. >> i am telling you what my understanding and i am expressing our concerns regarding this permit. one of them is obviously security because there open late at night. lighting in the area because in

that particular location, there is a back alleyway between where the child care center is and the billiards hall. i do not know -- they said they would do cameras inside the business. >> [inaudible] >> i am wondering if there are any plans for lighting in the back alley. somebody said criminals like the dark. we want to make sure their patrons are safe. this is more of a community impact. it could be a law enforcement impact. that is something with a worry about on a later date. the community impact is a concern. we want to make sure people are safe. and the business is running efficiently.

>> there is a concern in that area to find businesses that can stay open. when the greatest concerns i hear from the business community is that there isn't anything that is open later to keep the street accessible and more well lead and to keep people in these businesses and using these businesses. they have had a hard time keeping businesses open, right? >> i cannot speak to that directly. i do not know what the history has been with the permit applications in that area. i cannot speak to that, but i would imagine. 24 hour fitness -- >> is 24 hours. >> there are restaurants that are open later. >> that is it, though.
