daughter was taking her to the hospital we were carrying her down the stairs and she said wait a minute get my lipstick and that was the kind of person she was 90 years old. she was one of those people who was really amazing. she was survived by her children and grandchildren. she lived in her building n since 1956. they raised their grandkids and it's an amazing story. i'm really happy to be able to

close the meeting in memory of jacob. he was tragicly shot to death on good friday outside of his first names home in the mission. he was visiting home - he was visiting his family from a clock in oregon. he was majoring in economics and he was attending lewis and character on a football landscape. his father told me that yesterday was supposed to be the

day he was supposed to fly back to excellently. he played wide receiver and his coaches and friends consider him a good friend and leader. he was born july 2nd, 1993, he was 19 years old. he graduated from archbishop in san francisco the same school where his brother graduateed. he was an anti going young man he was a people person and a lifelong 14ers he was liked from

people from santa cruz. if you pass by the home on bryant and 42 street you'll see dozens of cards and candles. he made so many friends he was loved by everyone his roommates were like brothers to him. his family is definite stated and i think it's safe to say that the whole community is devastated. he is followed by his survivors. i would ask we adjourn the meeting today in his memory. and our thoughts and prayers are

with his family and we send them our deepest condolences. on the hearing request of public safety in the mission neighborhood. besides the tragic death of jacob we've had a number of independence the last few days many of them involve gang violation. some involve shootings on munis as well as sexual assaults. and a hearing that calls b upon ail city programs to come and talk about the strategies that we as a city are following to assure that we want to know

exactly in terms of what we're doing by all developments. this is a chance to come together and talk about what we're doing right. and this is an opportunity to talk about this as well and to talk about what else we're not doing. the final item that i have is another item. it's simply a comment. tomorrow i will be meeting at center with the residents of the 3 housing developments that live in my district. it will include some of the officials of the housing authority and i understand that many of those rointsz will be asked as they have been asked to

make personal sacrifices like taking shorter showers to save water. and services will have to be kit like security. we saw could i in the paper that there are fourteen jobs that have been cut in the housing authority. and the reason i bring this up is i'm going to have a very difficult time to justify the personal sacrifices they have to make to those residents as we

a dozen constituents found out that their cars were towed. their particularly frustrating to folks and city government could better use technology to let people know. all tear towing restrictions were to notice commits that their cars were in zones that could be towed. they don't need a cell phone. in 2011 i called for this data and unfortunate little process

prison are having problems getting jobs. and they're in smaller neighborhood but having a problem getting jobs. the department of the justice estimates that half of the individuals released will be returning to prison. the cycle of recidivism increases argue taxpayers taxes. and if this is successly passed it would be 2 is 189 expands the policies and the this other item
