presentation on her behavior and i'm the project manager with the park and wreaking. also i'm the coordinator for the physical access to our facility. so the presentation that i'm going to make today is about the status of the capital plan and how do the capital plan meet e accessibility requirements and a can you switch the power points please. >> have to be moving here. so okay. so the capital plan of rec and park includes 2 hundred
1:01 pm
and 35 facilities in at least 4 hundred pea 40 projects offer that same year period that it started in 2001. right now we're in the second 10 year period but the first period to 2001 started with san francisco voters that approved the proposition a in march 2000 for a one hundred and million generation fund. once they approved the fund for the proclamation that was already set up. so in february of 2008 we start the second plan citywide and that is determined with all city
1:02 pm
agencies in which rec and a parks are part of the plan citywide. so in 2008 the voters approved propose rightwo: which was 1 hundred and 28 million and knowing in the 2008 clean and safe neighborhoods tax bond for the safety improvements repairs and renovations arrest after the bond we are currently completing last year in 2012 the citizens propped prospective b for 1 hundred and 55 million for san francisco clean and safe neighborhoods parks renovations and improvements.
1:03 pm
the original capital program budget needs at the beginning of 1999, was 4 hundred million. however, there are - there were - this was determined that it was not sufficient to be able to innovate all the facilities and office space sea as we see the development in that area. the funds at this point are $185 million as of march 31, 2013. i will bring you a little bit of background on how those 4 hundred million are not enough to innovate the repairs.
1:04 pm
in 2007 we the an evaluation of the 2 hundred parks and recreation centers and there's is program called come at the time the technology that the includes all the sufficient needs that we have. so it was determined after the statement the capital needs were 1 i pledge allegiance to the flag 7 billion. just for the neighborhood parks see it was needed 1 hundred 25 million. that includes the neighborhood parks included open space, feemdz and court and rec centers, pools, restrooms and operation and maintenance
1:05 pm
facilities. also the other portion of the 1.7 billion was for special properties we needed 8 hundred and 65 million that included the golden gate park the sharp park and other legacy projects. so just here to show whether we get our funding sources and i know it's hard to read those but i'm going to tell you that the big portion of the fund in 2000 and 2001 which basically are the bigger areas of the pie chart. it's for bond - for sources like
1:06 pm
bond sources like the 2008 red bond which is 26 percent of the division that was 77 billion. another source of fund was the bond for the neighborhood park that was the 2000 bond that was 21 percent of the 1 hundred and 77 billion that was 2000 and 2001. and open and space funding. our grant in revenue bonds which were being 11 and 20 percent of the fund appropriated. and finally, the least they really helped to commitment doing other projects that were
1:07 pm
funded by other sources. then we have another sources that are not bond. basically those railroad the sources that were made possible before 2000 in the 1990s we will remember the california academy of science. they gave funding in the amount of thirty percent. and the green one as you know san francisco the rec and park and the san francisco area that included about 70 percent of the other funds associated. the other ones are the general
1:08 pm
fund and another department fund and then we have 1987 park improvement bond that really help out and also the downtown park fund. so i'm going to give a little overview on the new bond at the park we're excited about it. we're the capital managers dots work. this bond was approved by 31.6 percent of the voters. this is 19 million for neighborhood parks. those parks are selected on a criteria that basically determines the physical conditions, the seismic,
1:09 pm
neighborhood density. and then we got back to really either add to their priority or evaluate whether they were going to be included in the bond. this has 35 million more open spaces that are being done by the port and this is one of the special things of this bond. wreaking and park i can see are little play grounded that have this. in order to do the small play
1:10 pm
grounds it was decided to put some money on the bonds. we usually get the better than play grounds and this was the determination to get our play grounds down. then 12 million for tuesday night fund and the golden gate park and other parks and 13 million for forest trails and conservation. so i'm going to show you here just which facilities are for parks the neighborhood parks. basically, we have 3 pools in balboa park and the variety square pool. so we will be able to have assessable pools.
1:11 pm
then we have in different districts you have the thing over here i'm not gomg going to go through each but you can check our website for each one of them >> thank you and the next one i'm going to skip this map it's not very clear here but you can find all the rec parks website. >> and now we've the neighborhood rec bond 2012 bond, in fact, it is the continues we have allocated bonds for water front open spaces.
1:12 pm
this one the special thing was that we did all the restrooms and we do the construction and trail reconstruction and, of course, the community rec fund. all of those have been completed and chinese rec center and this square and this play grounded and we're just completing this year and the mission phase two. lafayette is the one coming first in the summer. and finally, we have the largest play grounded and it's still in planning. the park which we have the play
1:13 pm
grounded completed last year. so we go to the - i'll go really fast on this one. we have over 2 hundred and 20 parks. we have about 178 play grounded and 28 recreation centers and a numerous club houses. and we also have diamonds and other things. so there are 2 hundred and 81 determine capital projects that's been the last report we have of march. two hundred and 20 projects have been completed. those ones will included the projects we are initiating. and it includes the 2 hundred
1:14 pm
and 8 bonds we're constructed. they haven't been delivered yet. so for the important question is how do the renovation of all those facilities address the ada needs? well basically ail those bonds that we had that intended it be able to renovate facilities are they are required to be designed new contradiction complying about building
1:15 pm
1:16 pm
to enter. the public area is present to the toilets to the telephone there is also ada sign whether or not inside or outdoors. and our small and big rec centers. and also when there's a limitation to be fulfill compliant we do the barriers that are necessary for saesht. those complete my presentation but i'd like to show you some of the facilities we have completed so far. i have some photos. i'm going to be switching - let me just close here
1:17 pm
i'm going to need a little bit of help here. we need the power point again, the images. okay, here we go. okay. those actually is one of our structures i think at a park. and you can see here that we we have rubber surface in the play ground areas that way it's assessable. it's assessable for children with all abilities too. this is an area that actually is a gathering area and as you see
1:18 pm
everything is the pavement is smooth. we have concrete and it's a good area for the praj of traffic. we make in our board in front of the clubhouse we set up picnic area and all the picnic areas will allow a wheelchair to be allocated and you can see the traffic from one side of the play grounded to the other one. right now i can see the court on the play ground on the side on the left-hand side and the
1:19 pm
clubhouse that was finished. we have this was only stairs so when we did the renovation you can see the ramps to the facility. this is another club view at the ramp. i know there is a view of the harbor area in the path of traffic that you have in between the play grounded and the clubhouse and it's everything compliant. another view of the play grounded. you see the ratio structure and the play structures. right here i think this is the i
