3:40 pm
think the neighborhood thinks this makes a lot of sense. we have not been acquiring a whole bunch the parcels because of the space. we hope this becomes a model project. and supervisor we'd love to work with you on the maintenance issue and the budget. the general funds have been cut about 25 percent. the open space fund is the biggest fund. we want to say we look forward

around that open site. the square will provide a place for children to play. and through that farmer's market is it will serve a big population around san francisco. and for the private fundraising the resident have championed. finally supervisor to your point about maintenance if you happened this is a chef certain it's been the chief roadblock to performing spaces around this city. it's our opinion that the revenue generated through the farmer's market at this site about pay for the maintenance on this site so we support in

>> we can assume this was related to our 9 month updates on the fund. >> i'm a board member of the noah valley farmer's market. just to say a word of how the farmer's market came into being when the supervisor wiener started to speak to us when real food owned by the an out of state closed its doors and fired all it's workings for trying to start a union. we meet in the noah valley ministry in groups of 1 hundred
3:45 pm
and 50 folks each week. we supported the workers and we had 20 valley residents who won. we decided we could provided our own heath food to the community. certain and care for each other and support for local farmers. so the whole principle of how the farmer's market was orgsdz was to connect the vision for to 80 a better world. this connection has given rise to this proposal. i want to say we're a reliable community in supporting a space like this and supervisor alvarez i very much like the idea of
