fiscal year we're down $3.9 million and the fiscal year down another million dollars dollars. it's mainly due to the $1.4 million crews ship removal. in fiscal 15 those are due to the america kidnap and due to the loan fund program and the removal of the work order for a project i'll explain shortly to go through some of the activities in fiscal 2014. the city had an employment rate of 9.4 percent which is the

lowest in 5 years. we have a job rate growth and this is like 2.8 percent over the natural average. we see that that national growth is from business services to tourism and trade and transportation as well as manufacturing. we have a dedicated report on the merchandising like manufacturing. it strengthens our manufacturing. it has a protocol in licenses that allowed business to assess on line permits.

this was launched in event and we've had almost a thousand users use this tool. this is in addition to the office that we do. this year we did direct services in san francisco over 1 thousand. we're seeing a marked increase in the film production for the film program. o e w d manages public and private projects this includes the warriors project. the large implementation includes a number of program. first, we is had two staff members that get out of city

hall and go to assistant the folks in the neighborhoods. we continue to have that outreach next week. many of you know that small businesses are subject to lawsuits that relate to 88 cinnamons. this is to insure that their aware of any plant issues they have. we had 39 assessments and this is the program in fiscal fourteen where we're going to expand. this that mini program provides 12 neighborhoods with the prajz of the community market and street communication and we launched a vacancy program.

hear about the micro loan program. i'm a big fan of this program even when it was a little bit controversial. it's been helpful to a number of businesses. i guess one question i have is once the city makes the loan and helps invest in those businesses what kind of support does the city provided to the businesses in terms of regulatory challenges etc. i know your office is involved. one of the frshgsz if it wasn't the first time it was one of the first reciprocates of the fund was a lady on myths street. i was out there with the mayor

and we celebrate the loan at the opening of that business. after that, they have a wine and beer license and they took the outrageous step of wanting to sell that beer up to 10:00 p.m. and it's when most of the partying happens. i'm being facetious. it was a nightmare and we all advocated and ultimately, the city of granting the request one neighbor objected. that's which one of the many

things that the businesses encounter how can we help them? >> whether they're taking advantage of the loan program is the good thing is we know the owner and we have a relationship and a high level of awareness and know their facing changes. with with the office of small business we can provided direct avoidance. but you're speaking of boarder systematic issues. i often think about the others that have not be able to raise the issue. there are some issues that could be solved systematicly but in terms of that particular

and we've seen a concentration of businesses in san francisco that are using san francisco for a gateway of chinese markets coming here. we see the latino market with more than 15 percent of the cities being of latin decent. we see mexico and argentina and japan and vietnam and india. we're going looking to build on those relationships >> i'm almost done here. to just to continue on investing in investing. we're going to sought 3 new

year with the help of funding from the department of labor. we received as many of you might know $500 million to launch an entry-level workers. we are finishing our graduation this summer. we have a fairly diverse number of folks and the average sill i skill set is just above the high school. and in addition we added a hospitality sector due to the increase in hospitality and tourism and our disability employment initiative is in full gear for folks on a a multitude of disabilities.

we continued our third year we do a procurement process. we applied that as of april of this year. we had 51 agencies apply the total dollar amount is lifting .8 million down from the previous years. some of our other initiatives mandatory local hiring requirement going from 25 percent to thirty percent. we issued our annual report as well. everything is going positive in terms of local higher implementation. we're currently in the process i i know that supervisors avalos we're currently in the process of review and looking at and determining whether we want to bring forgot a set of

recommendations around holly the percentages or moving forward. so we're going to be currently in that process which includes department head recommendation and karaoke representation and my own representation. so over the next three to four months we'll have a set of recommendations as to how we should precede. we have the fourteen initiatives we have department labor grants that are h1 b grants. we're in our second year and that grant will end june 30th of 2014 pardon our workforce grant is around technology in terms of workforce and being innovative we're in entrant two and that

will end. and our disability grant will end actually - that one will end in september 2014 pr the only funding we receive is through another d l grant that will end june 30th on 2015 and that is for individuals that are in child support. the focus is to help them get on their feet. our key workforce areas are the academies. we have 4 now health care, hospitality and technology. we also have a set of neighborhood assess points. we don't have one that covers all 11 district but we have 5

that we pope hope can cover those 11 district. in addition we have a couple of youth programs called ramp. those are for individuals that are typically in the age range of 20 to fourteen. and your overall outcomes however, around 3 thousand served. we place roughly about 2 thousand individuals through our all of our program areas. keeping in mind that the individuals we focus on the average skills are high school diplomas and geds. and we trained around 1 thousand folks. we receive two new fte from the mayor's office for first, you source. one will be dedicated to end use
