agreements between the city developer sea the community agreement between the community and developers, of course, can lead to san in the neighborhood. next one is create a public, private you partnership that allows the property owners to pay for the enhancement over what the government does. this includes streetscape improvements and etc. this one is a tax on property owners that can help with sidewalk improvements and parks and potential improvements at the peace mall as well as build facilities. next is for the grants to the arts. the hotels are talked to help with the arts.

and some of this money go to the cherry festival. next is the garbage capital investment fund to direct some of the money that comes from parking to do capital improvements on the site. right now it's going for seismic upgrades. next remedies is not commercial japan district it's pilot between the next c to the north. it would like the named district like we've created before for custom used in the neighborhood. we've contrasted the language

and brought out to the community owners of properties as well. the guidelines as discussed before we've seen the guidenes but there's an opportunity to critique of the guidelines that speak to the unique character of the neighborhood. implement of improvements in peaceplasia we know that in the cultural part of the neighborhood it would create more collaboration between the parks department and community etc. we have this as a mall we would work with public works rather than the park and recreation. the parks are owned by an

outside entity. we know there's a ton of improvement that can make the mall for beautiful and how that can be done with existing buildings. we recommend that a task force get together and work with the property owners to create a win-win for more property owners to bring folks to the businesses. i've discussed each the recommendations. the g h s explicitly looks this. this is how the implementation tools and one of the areas of concern is showed and we put dots to where we think that the tool can address of the areas of concern or meet the the goals

tim. i'm bob member of the japan town organizing committee. this would not be possible without the patients and a diligence of director ram tim and shelly. on behalf of japan town thank you all. i'm here to give you a brief run down on the community participation and the outreach efforts of the organization committee. this is the third version of trying to save the culture of neighborhood. still we don't have a document endorsed by the city. it starred in 2007 and in 2009

that plan was sent back to the community to work with the planning department for further refinement additional since then we've completed it. we have conducted focus groups and meetings and outreach to stakeholders and it's been a long road. since february alone we have conducted one community meeting and outreach to over thirty community organizations property owners and mentor and resident groups. during march and april and may we have incorporated changes. this has been an inclusive and continues process. we'll be{in september.
