homeless and people who have serious barriers whether they've been incarcerated you name it those are entities i've known for a fact deal with the kinds of challenges that i personally have to deal with in district 5. i'm not in each stance a fan of residency i waivers but the work he does impacts san franciscans on a day to day base its tangible work and i guesstimated to put my thoughts out there. and hear what my colleagues had to say about the candidates we have 3 great candidates. i did not want to miss out on an opportunity to have an

i've heard consistently from my colleagues that residency waiver is a big deal here. so i'm torn especially with sxhooedz comments in terms of the jazzs ability to work with a concern community because he doesn't live in san francisco it would be is a shame not to have that asset and the gentleman has shown he deals with the issues and it's going to be a tough call for me. i'm inclined to support the two that came because i don't know who mr. brook take care is. supervisor cowen any thoughts on

organizing it's not only organizing with the african-american community but also the asian and latino community that benefit from the services that the young developers often develop. this is an orientation that has the capacity and proven track record to address and then mitigate barriers to entry when the comes to the workforce. i'm comfortable with waving the residency requirement. now what's interesting is that i do have some familiarity with doug parish and the work he's done specifically around the baby ymca mentoring african-american males in particular. what i don't have understanding

court instructs the jury closer. so today, the commission is recognized for a vicinities for the city's underserved community. this is due in large part because of the partnership with my office. the commissioners that come to meeting they listen to the community, they do all even though heavy lifting on behalf of their fellow commissioners they're a diverse co- he was group they demonstrate respect for each other's difference. we need knowledge of commissioners and who want to serve and are there for all the people. in short i needed exempted individual. i hope you'll reappoint the 6

important appointment so i've done some homework. i met with one of our staff and supervisors. i've also reached out to all the commissioners. attended one of the meetings i've actually had a long conversation with 3 of them. i asked about everything they do on the commission and gave them my background and all 3 supervisors thought i'd be great. i've reached tout out to the african network and met with the 3 leaders. they said this was the first time someone reached out to them. we talked and we're to meet

again. i met with the leader of the r0shd organization and this is the first time he said someone sat down with him. the asian law calling your attention caucus i met p with ms. chan. i've known hearing her for a couple of years. i reached out to maria and she's the executive director of justice cause she have happy someone reached out to her. roberto hernandez is one of the leaders who recently received a naacp community award. him and i spoke and he was excited i reached out to him we are going to sit down and talk about immigration issues. i've reached to other organizations radio african and
