enterprise departments. we understand that the california state association of counties has raised their fee by an additional $40,000. i will work with the committee in january to discern whether or not the committee is interested in funding that increase in the department's budget. second to last, information technology. the department needs a new file server at a cost of 14,000 and maintenance for our aab, online system, which phase 1 is completed and we are now moving into phase 2 and we're on target for that project. we will need an additional 24,000 for that project. and finally, other recommendations by the committee, i'm happy to work with the committee as well as members of the board over the next several weeks to ensure that further guidelines that the department is interested in seeing be placed in the budget is, in fact, prepared so that when they bring it back to you

in january, it will be close to being complete. that concludes my presentation. i'm available for questions. >> thank you, ms. covy. supervisors, any questions? >> yes, please. thank you for the presentation and your work on the guidelines for the clerk's budget. a question about premium pay. could you go into a little deeper describing what that is? what are the changes that you're proposing, what is currently the status of premium pay for -- >> yes, specifically, if we're talking about the legislative premium pay for longevity, the legislative aide is working for the same supervisor for a period of four years and the fifth year they are working at the top step and they are entitled to an additional percentage based upon the m-o-u for retention and any special skill the supervisor may feel that they have.

the bilingual premium pay, i understand that it is the supervisor who is working with the legislative staff. if the supervisor feels that the number of hours per day the legislative aide is utilizing of the extra language or languages, in some cases, then the supervisor will let me know that the aide is in fact utilizing premium pay and meets the standard of the premium pay requirements. >> so, we currently have the ability to do that, but just haven't enacted premium pay? >> supervisor avalos, we don't have the funding in our budget, but this is the first year since i've been the clerk of the board that it has been requested of the department's budget. so, we'd like to provide that service if supervisors would like us to. >> and i think it's worthy of supporting. >> chair farrell, if i could just thank joe [speaker not understood] for all of her work

business and i don't know where he is but from the san francisco park alliance pat o'grady is here (clapping) so 84 years trowel one of the most special event this department has done for nearly a century and it's been a great year for replying replying our realms e recession programs are not as popular and last week, we have the president of the united states at the rec center n here. we call him uncle john mccleaner he was the first person to start the tradition of lighting the trees that end here in front of

mcclaren lodge. this this is san francisco's of the city and county of san francisco it's a monterey cypress tonight we're going to light over 1 hundred and 50 lights so t a big shout out to your entire department who tptd uncle john's tradition and especially our superintendant bob and his manages and a special shout out to our entire recreation staff who planned this fire department we've got tree to thaters who hang the light and our

somebody was reading to him he heard the language human resources usually when the rabbit come out he say oh, the rabbit. it's the talking and sliding and kids can relate to. and the adults loved nanna. now napping in a is the main adult figure in the show she represents stern love the fair is played but he same person and i think fairy is the thing have you for your first child pure love. i think nature is a beautiful thing and all widespread rabbits come to nature it's about how far and not something our kids

get those days. ♪ ♪ ♪ there's fantastic spectacle what happens with the computes so i think in life performance you see it more successful and ask people to buy into your world so long as the world is consistent that you have on stage and film say, i want this message for kids. the world doesn't have to be spectacle it can be about relationships and a taking things seriously and not about being blown away. what is real asked the child one

day and the success for the most part when you are 7-year-old you sit in the seats and kids laugh and ask questions and that's a sense of success. i think the fact we tour it and do it here and still are audience is lasting. i want to say its lasting because the story is a wonderful story. if it was just an okay story it wouldn't have laced this long. i've had people come up to me and say that's the first story i've seen of this as to how and
