do have a state of the arc contractors center we don't have another center like this it's in the bayview. if you don't know about that i'm bringing up it to your attention. there are two people who can give you a tour one person is ben. so when you call you can schedule a meeting. i know bring as many people as you want 50 to one hundred people and i can bring them >> next speaker.
10:01 pm
>> i'm paul i'm excited to see the progress i prafrptd in one of the earlier stakeholder meetings. i hope to hear and, of course, one needs to ask for more. recently, i had the experience of filing b b n. and in filing the b b n i discovered varieties things it can't be done online and can't pay with legal tender. it's a very time consuming system both for the requester and for the staff to get processed and transferred from paper to digital records. i'm holy this system enables interested parties to identify property block and lot to get
10:02 pm
notices of if activities is filed so there's the ability to do a relatively passive pole of information rather than having people to go sfwo into the facility. the example the d b b n filing wouldn't have to happen it would simplify something else it was proposed at the stakeholder meeting. i'm hoping if it's not part of the implementation i'm hoping it gets phased in that will be valuable to neighbors who are concerned about a project that's been the case where the project sponsor didn't comply with the neighbors. and it was dropped under the
10:03 pm
following negotiations and discovered permits were filed. that's an area where planning staff has done a great job not letting sloppy stuff slide through. >> thank you. >> sue hester well paul set me up i was going to ask that on the map function there's a place to put user check off a box. so if you put send me notices of this site it automatically comes up the next time it comes on that would be really helpful.
10:04 pm
going backwards there is uneven posting on the information map. i've had major problems with folks it depend upon the participate if they think it needs to be post or not the p pas if they're not hot linked then you may as well not have the ability to find them. you should assume that people have the ability to use a map package but not going to scroll down so if you're going to have a map page really, really do it. people should be evaluated in their annual evaluations if
10:05 pm
they're not following through there's no input back to the planning department right now. if you go to the board of appeals hearings & or the board of supervisors they have a solicited input at ever hearing tell us how we're doing and planning should do the same. p pas you're going to do them online but everything that has a deadline is dangerous. va d scott sanchez dangers when he makes a distillation if you don't have notice of it you have no ability to appeal that. those are really important to the public that they know what's going on pr the public awareness is where the whole thing rise
10:06 pm
and falls. the developers will use this until the cows come home but it doesn't include the developers over here. and so if you don't build a website to absolutely guarantee things are posted and given the information to people if they want to track a site they find out when they open up the computer they have an meanwhile from planning. >> thank you. any further. seeing none, public comment is closed. commissioner fung. >> well, i'm glad to see this the moving along. i was part of a small group beta testing i spent time as the general public and i thought it
10:07 pm
was easy to navigate. i'm excited to see the record keep and hoping we can track different things. sue hester talked about the geographical data is being collected and to commissioner wu's question about the inclusionary housing this is a timekeeper that we can set some pace and see how it's comparing to other projects. i hope it useful to the developers. just a broad thought i think communication breaks down whether there are accurate information. i'm hoping this tool is as good
10:08 pm
as what's put into it good data in and out that will alleviate problems. >> thank you director ram. >> i want to say we're thrilled to be at this point. we're behind other cities although the technology we're using we're learning from other cities mistakes and more sophisticated software. i want to say thanks to the team there's been a lot of staff time and the staff is about 20 people working on this over the last two years old especially tom and keith and kelly and others to let you know that kelly will be leaving us after 15 years we'll
10:09 pm
miss her terribly but she's going to colorado for a greener pasture >> commissioner borden. >> you mentioned mobile access for staff will there be an operation for anyone to add to their phones. >> there are two apps of the system and actively the software company as offered their platform for developers to work from. the short answer is we're not going to be officially using those are apps they don't fit a distinct need we have right now. again, if you have an internet connection it is available.
10:10 pm
we need to test on a tablet not a phone necessarily it's something we're going to look at >> it adapts to whatever platform so you notice there's website on your computers so it actually changes the way it looks. i mean this company a well aware of the competition and tries to improve the new version and we owe we hope they're keeping up with 9 uses. i know that dbi is using office app formulation they choose pieces of the system to delay. in order to update the flow of
10:11 pm
information we have a trade off >> so what. >> saying it making sure that the database has a information and things they actually have to do online. >> what do you mean. >> in terms of what the projects are you image planners when they do their workflow they may have to go into the app or system to make sure their updating that. >> one thing that's important to note you'll our billing of time isn't graded into the system which is a great partnership we enter time and product information in other places. you enter the notes and all in one is perfect. >> the other question sue hes r
10:12 pm
hesters question are you going to have updates i know it's hard to subscribe to a larger set of things but to subscribe to largely projects. >> those features are possible with this system interest subscription within the tracking system we haven't designed a self-prescription expect where the board directed us to look at a software that will work with the system to provide the information to the public but right now the system will provide information with a broader aspect.
10:13 pm
>> and that should be the app we subscribe to updates an individual projects and that will help with you know we have the block book notice. >> what's on our minds is all the riders noticing we do in hardcopy form. >> in the future that would be great for people is have electronic notice. >> once you get that information that is good. >> thank you commissioner sugaya. >> i'm curious open the comments made by sue hester and others with respect to be able to subscribe i don't know if that's the right word but being unified in a geographical area
10:14 pm
around my house is that possible with the system it isn't implemented now but could the system accommodate something like the block notification system with the visitations of cus and other things. >> it's similar any system that has steps and a workflow you can't have people to look at automated areas but it's a big areas it's not all automated it's not something we're going to put into the first feats but we'll continue to upgrade the system we're working on another
10:15 pm
contract that provides all the information in a map format you can get the relatives in your area but you're going to the system and asking for the information. >> right is that coming up in the necklaces year and it will hopefully launch in a few months those are the logical first steps and consider any subscription type of noticing. >> on the aider and abettor that was raised from sue hester looking at 3 notices could you create a system for those notices and have them bring it up in some fashion. >> her concerns - >> you have an example of cruz. >> it's on the application types you canned acquire for
10:16 pm
that document but it will be under as part of the project roeder record we don't off of offer that yet we have decision documents but i mention everything from the initial application to a notice, plans will be troichd electronically and you click on 9 link or link that will be a huge amount of information for the public. >> thank you. i was curious i know that last week, i was looking on line and came across an article where an independent person looked at restaurants openings where all the busses are being routed and what was the - has anybody seep this matt
10:17 pm
map it's a heat map it's called. by co- latino all those >> i know it's rents. >> rent increases how on the heat map how it co- related that the heat map if we can do that with valuable information it wouldn't take fwoong more someone not suggesting the department to do this but to inquire about this. >> one other note i heard about the system it comes with a modern payment processes so we'll be able to take credit cards on line. >> commissioner moore.
10:18 pm
>> is your system connected to open data and it say we are accomplishing things to the groups so this adds to that. >> so anyone who is text savvy can do things on their own. >> a lot of it is out there. >> the second parrot of my question i have to assume that part of the interface between the department and the public are proprietary for example, ownership names its in the data someplace or ownership in general arthritis certain things that are irrelevant but might be important for people to know. >> you're right we don't show
10:19 pm
ownership under that i am. if you submit the information but the issue is whether or not it's posted to the internet or not. very little will be behind from the public we'll allow complaints to be filed it's a separate portal you have to have an account to file an application. anticipate obviously fees owed will be preliminary g but again comments staff notes in the system >> will the system be accessible in public libraries the multiple population where voting is how do we deal with that with this particular
10:20 pm
environment and a educating through a public 20ir7b8 it's all web based. >> how about the issue of - and a translation? >> obviously some of the documents that are part of the system that we currently translate will be in the translated form but we'll be stuck with online google translation stuff. >> thank you, very much for the minutes. >> please silence any mobile quiz that any go off and if you sincere to do state your name for the record we left off on item fingerprinting for the next case the 22.5 acre hunters view
