is it similar? >> yeah. that would be it. >> could we hear the public comment? >> sure. >> commissioner akers? >> could we see them in two weeks? >> yeah, are we going to... for the public comment. >> on may 6th. >> may 6th would be the next meeting. >> so can i just ask some more questions about the map, so what it says is 15 feet clearance on the eastbound lane and the parking is that the emergency lane and so the whole street. >> the commissioner and the commissioner, and all right, the applicant is not here. >> we can't speculate as to whether or not that was, but i would rather not. and we have asked them and told them that they were going to be here and i think they in my mind are obligated to be here to get your permission. we are here, they want something from us, and in the end of the day, the point is that there are neighbors around this place and we get the phone calls.
6:31 am
and so, it is lovely they want to raise money, i love sfjazz to death. but if they want to be up on saturday night amplifying in a tent which is not sound proof to 11:30 at night in the street, i think that it behoofs them to be here. >> i make a motion that we move this to may 6th. >> i second. >> all right. >> the motion to continue in to the next meeting, may 6th. >> yes. >> do we need to take the public comment first? >> continuing this. >> all right. >> okay, on the motion to continue this to may 6th. the same house same call? >> yes. >> yes. >> continued to may 6th. >> and then the final loud speaker permit is on your... are you ready for that one? >> we seconded it. >> oh,, we did. >> so the final permit is for additionally a cultural
6:32 am
institution and the sf is doing a gala or a modern ball, i think that it is called. and that goes in the other one. and they have and it is in your packet, withdrawn this application and so i think that there is no conversation and there will not be amplification on it, outside in the morning on a wednesday, thank you. >> all right. so we don't have to take any action on this. >> no. >> okay. >> great, that leaves us to item 6, which is commissioner comments and questions. commissioner hyde? >> hi, so, first of all i would like to say thanks for the summit, and i thought that it was great and i always get a lot of stuff out of there and of course, i went around making the rounds and making sure that the other areas might indeed have part of their rental agreement, and notification, of the entertainment and i have
6:33 am
talked to a few people and i am not sure if anything will come of it and it was a brilliant idea and it should be in here and they should be notified and since i called called out for my facebook post and i might as well, add in the comments that i did go home, and post a joke about the cab drivers and lift and uber argument that i heard for two hours up at late night commission meeting and i did mean it to be a jovial gest and i did not mean that i was supporting one or the other. and i know that i often get upset if people make fun of harm reduction and so i am sorry if i roughle thed feathers. >> we will tell bary that you said that. >> hopefully he will watch that and sorry bary.
6:34 am
>> so, with cincode mayo coming up i don't remember it being a big issue are we doing any special announcements or the best practices to our permit holder? >> well, i know that there is a couple of events or permitting daytime on that weekend, before and i think that it is... >> it is on a tuesday. >> or a monday or a tuesday. >> yeah. >> so, all right, we don't expect it to be overly, dramatic, and i mean that we have the usual suspects of the, you know, parties in the mexican restaurant and but, if i hear of anything. and out of the ordinary, and i am sure that inspector burke will be on the scene. >> all right, any other commissioner comments? >> just want to say that i do believe that i am very thrilled that the city is really doing well. and that we have a lot of businesses and our unemployment rate is super low. and i am really glad that i own
6:35 am
my house. but, with that comes a lot of challenges to entertainment. and the denser the population, brings two different kinds of people and it brings the people who want to go out and are very tolerant and the people who have absolutely zero tolerance and it also brings a lot of entertainment is a free speech issue. and it also brings a lot of regulation that may be overly regulating, regulations or unnecessary regulations or harmful regulation and so i would like my commissioners to keep their eyes and ears opened for upcoming legislation that may impact our street fares and other event likes the new prevailing wage legislation and so on and so forth and keep yourself mindful and you know, informed on what is happening. because i think that we will be having the discussions on that. and you know, maybe more about
6:36 am
the bottled water and so on and so forth as we go on to the next year. >> thank you. >> i think that it is ask you during your report, but, from the hearing yesterday, i did not get to watch the whole thing on-line, but what are the next steps? i think that supervisor weiner said that he might be introducing some sort of resolution? >> yeah. so that is the plan right now. is we present it a set of problems and a set of possible ideas for solutions, and suggested that the city come up with a integrated transportation plan and so with that in mind, he is going to basically, yeah, introduce a resolution to create a task force. and i mean, and i have not seen the wording yet, but i think that is will be in the groups. >> a working group, okay, a
6:37 am
working group that reports back to the board in a period of time on progress, and then hopefully at the end of that it will produce a plan that in my mind we will push towards integrating into the larger transportation of the mayors may be putting forward that there may be resources for it and that kind of thing. assuming that he is going to ask you or someone from the entertainment commission or staff to serve on that working group. >> i think that he is going to ask the arizona commission and the representative from oewd to co-chair that group. >> great. >> thank you. >> any other final comments? is there any public comment on what we just talked about? >> no? >> all right. let's move on to item 7, new business requested for the future agenda items. >> take it away commissioner hyde. >> i think that i would like to talk to atmosphere. i juflt think that it would be
6:38 am
good to have them here and talk to them. i mean every week, we hear about them and it would be nice to have a chat. so, as soon as that can be arranged if it could be the next meeting that would be awesome. >> all right. >> any other agenda items? >> no. is there any public comment on what we would like to talk about in faout future? >> i think that concludes our meeting tonight, and thank you all for coming in and tuning in. >>
6:39 am
