and the times projected. we do have the risks in talking about the resource availability, that is the number one risk again it is so far and continues to be the risk and every week we monitor and make sure that we are keeping to the time lines that we planned for. and again, the turn around time, the vendor and the staff are involved so we review the data and give them feedback and fix it and some of them we do right away and the risk is that if one of us does not keep up the time we end up pushing up the dates and scope again is another risk and we just talked about that and we have had the situations where sudden functionality is not available or not adequately available. and we raised that as an issue and in most case wes have found and walk arounds and the functionality and in the cases where there are not, and if it is not critical and then we table it and we find a solution. and so that could be a risk if things come up and we cannot find a solution.
7:31 am
>> this is the last slide and it is the id resource status and i think that we briefly touched upon that one and we have made and we have been pursuing several avenues for the hiring resources within the dbi and also trying to get resources from the vendor and we did actually oppose one of the permanent positions to the hr's help on april four and this we interviewed several candidates for the senior position as well as the project manager positions and as of last week, we were ready to make two offers, and offers to two candidates. and they accept those and i think that we will be in a better shape than we are today and so we are hoping that will occur. and again, another step that we took towards the resources is the director and the other director have actually committed to assigning two full time staff, verses from our business, and one person from the permit services and one from the inspection services.
7:32 am
to be assigned to the project full time. and to help us with the data migration testing and all of the configurations of the un testing until we reach a time where we don't need their help and so that is a big step in the last couple of weeks and thank you director and deputy director. that is all that i have. >> okay. >> thanks for that update. okay, thank you. >> looking forward to seeing you in september. >> thank you. >> item 4 d, update on major projects. >> good morning i am the director of dbi and as you can see you can compare from last month, the amount is increased and the revenue, 8 percent from the last time, and the last time is 7, and a little bit over 7 billion now and 7.7. and it is like you see the front mans, you know, the point coming up.
7:33 am
and any question that you have? >> okay. >> i am looking for commissioner mar's questions, there is the last. >> it is 132. >> and number 1 32. >> thank you for that. >> i drove by it and i said how come that is on here. >> yeah. >> okay. >> great. all right. we are item 4 e update on code enforcement. >> good morning commissioners and i would like to give you the code enforcement and the update for the month of march.
7:34 am
building inspections performed 4653, i like to commend my staff because they have performed 100 percent of these inspections within the 48-hour time request. >> complaints received were 354. let me see if he can help you, okay. >> all right. >> okay. okay complaints received were 353, and i am just going to elaborate more from the list that you see, complaints and response in 24 hours, 212 which is 60 percent, complaints response in 72 hours was 105, that is our goal, is 30 percent, complaints response over 72 hours are only 36 at ten percent. so we did have ten percent response in complaints for last month.
7:35 am
>> complaints received and abaited without notice violations were 173, updated complaints with notice violations were 59, second notices of violations referred to code enforcement were 21. a report on the housing inspections because the chief is not here. housing inspections performed were 1122. complaints received were 424, complaint response within 24 to 72 hours were 416. complaints with notice of violations issued were 161. and abaited complaints of notice of violations were 355. and the number of cases sent to the director's hearing were 56. code enforcement, number of cases sent to the director hearing is 90. the number of abatements issued were 17. and number of cases under advisement were eleven and number of cases abaited were
7:36 am
177. and the graph depicted in this for the last, 6 or 7 months are included in your packet there. thank you. >> thank you and congratulations on the completing rate and, what is it? 48 hours? >> 72 hours? >> 72. >> okay. the inspections performed 4653 of them were within 48 hours in two days. >> wow that is a lot of inspections. >> and then the complaints response within 24 hours were 60 percent. >> yeah, i dare you to find a city that is doing 5,000 inspections a month right now. >> yes and increasing. >> and increasing. so well done on that. congratulations. >> commissioner mar? >> yes. thank you for the report dan. and i want to compliment your work in the department for kind of adding to the reports because i think that as the time has gone on these last
7:37 am
couple of months, there has been a lot more detail to the reports. and so but here i am going to ask for another detail if i may. sure. >> in the housing inspection division, i was wondering if they could include the routine inspection in the future reports. and so that it would be good to and if in the district and especially in the housing division is called out for an example to go in because of the violation and they are going there on the notice of violation any way, i would like to see whether or not since they are in the building, and whether they would just do a routine at that time. >> right. >> you know, so that they don't have to schedule two trips or something like that. >> all right. great idea. >> we will look into that. thank you. >> thank you deputy. >> okay, is there any public comment on director's report item 4 a through e?
7:38 am
>> seeing none, item 5, report and update for the nominations subcommittee? >> commissioner mar? >> of course, commissioner lee works on this. >> commissioner lee probably has more details. first of all we wanted to thank all of the citizens that stepped forward and served on our various committee and we still have the vacantcies and i put to put out a call and what they have not yet filled but i wanted to thank all of the incumbents that volunteered to serve and continuously and we even have some new.
7:39 am
we have some professional categories that we require the people to be in and there is also a residential requirement and whether they be tenants or land lords or things like that and so there is a lot of little, requirements. the fact that we have filled most of the seats but we still have some but i just wanted to put out a call to some of the vacant seats. >> thank you. >> and the people who have volunteered and that we have nominated. but i guess today we have a few of the new we would like to make a couple of reappointments but we also have a new appointment and i guess that the process is that there are a couple of candidates here that are present. and if the nominations and committee has recommended to the full commission then, that
7:40 am
we accept that you accept the nominations and so, so there is a couple of people here, if the commission is so moved, to accept our nomination we would like to swear them in today and for those not present, the secretary will swear them in at the next advisory committee meeting and so i guess that the nominees that we have that are present, well actually, i should read off all of the nominees. >> yes. >> i will read the next item that you george going to go to that. >> let me just add, commissioner mar and i and we have met i guess a couple of weeks ago, to review all of the applications and all of the membership. and we met a couple of weeks ago to review the applications and the membership in the three
7:41 am
bodies and at that time, we looked at the applications for the access of the permission and a code advisory committee and we felt that we were confident that we could recommend people to those seats on those bodies today. we felt that because we had more, and we have three new seats on the board of examiners, and we have many applicants for those three seats, we wanted to schedule a time to meet with those candidates at a later meeting, and i think that may 7th, to talk with them and get to know them a little bit better and try to figure out what they are interests are on those or on that body, and then, decide and make the recommendations to the dib for who to accept for the board of exam ners and so today, we are ready to recommend the seats from the individuals to the seats on the code advisory committee and the appeals commission.
7:42 am
>> okay. first of all, is there any public comment on item five? >> okay. seeing number, item 6 is discussion and possible action to approve and square in the access. ]]]] >> i would like to move that we accept these nominations. >> second and let's also add that there is a vacantcy and we could not find a qualified individual to sit in the major project contractor's seat and so that is the only seat that we are not recommended today. okay. that is the next item 7, but okay.
7:43 am
>> no problem. >> okay. so do we have a motion and a second to approve the recommendations for the access appeals commission. so is there a roll call vote on that item? >> president mccarthy? >> aye. >> vice president mar. >> yes. >> commissioner clinch? >> yes. >> commissioner lee. >> yes. >> commissioner mccray nyes. >> walker. >> aye. >> the motion carries unanimously and is there any and any of the candidates here for the access appeals commission? you can come up.
