members we focused on emerging the legislation that will establish form although, the boards roll as the t m a delegated by the board of supervisors and to include that in spectacular part of the protections to insure firewalls between the ta responsibilities. we had support from all quarters and the senator seems interested in helping us with the emerging legislation we're following up with his office it was a successful trip i enjoyed walking the hallways with the staff. yesterday the assembly installed assembly member tony as the speaker today, she gets to handle the budget from the assembly side as accident mayor

is giving his budget it's going on right now i can't give you highlights good or bad we'll be looking changes or embarrassed revenues in the cap and trade arena there's a small modest amount of an increase and what's emerging i'll did you at the end is kind of a strong debate between the legislation and the legislator how to proposition the cap and trade with the fuel distribution in 20015. turning to the bills of interest. that we've been tracking you'll notice if you flip through here there's a number of bills that we recommend those are the ones introduced for one reason or another failed to move into a

second reading so we have 3 bills we're recommending for support on the agenda the first one is a bit 2690 on page 23 of the matrix it reconciles language for the dui section of the penal code a reference to previous convictions and the language that's more up to date is separate so that you can take account for somethings that's going on concurly and we recommend the support to make the streets safer in san francisco. sb lovingly 83 an interesting measure we're recommending support it been carried on the matrix before as a watch it was

fund selection. the governor if he's had a change of heart but he opposes anything that put it on that level he wants the state agencies to make the product decisions and secondarily the distribution of the fund. the one major proposal that's out there but hadn't seen the light ofization day in terms of language we've seen the description is by senator performing steven beggar and he has recommended keeping the governors budget whole for 2014-2015 but placing something in the scheme going on. in his approach he'll treat the regulated industries that are subject to cap and trade the revenues from those industries will fund a number of gvg

productions but in 2015 the fuels production or motorists will be paying a higher amount because of the pass through of costs dedicated to transportation looking at several budget and high speed rail will receive a quarter of the money under the steven beggar proposal and rail and transit about half of that fuel distribution network funding and sustainable community will receive another quarter of that funding. under sustainable community a split going to affordable housing or infrastructure that facilitates affordable housing. so we'll see what the governor comes up with either a new

looking at the 2014-2015 annual budget and work plan it was presented last week with a full presentation we would make one presentation change to attachment b an page 73 we're separating the treasure island mobility management agency program since the board of supervisors has recently designated the authority to handle the transportation plan for treasure island we have now separated that from the management go agency program and separated that to show revenues and expenditures on its own revenues to two hundred and 74 thousand as do expenditures. in addition since is last time we presented the last budget the personnel committee amazing

recommended the proposed restructuring to go before the board on may 27th. in addition, we're continuing to work on the with the project sponsor with the prop k strategic plan and the prioritization program updates in early summer. the sfmta in particular are preparing significant changes to the proposed california improvement plan and anticipate revenues from the proposed in front of 2014 ballot measures. both those changes will increase the proposed budget amendment but with we'll take those in a few months after the yuments or when they take it up at the time when we floerl bring the budget before this committee with that, if you have any questions, i'll be happy to answer them

we tell stories to improve our ability to tell stories on stage. that's part of the opera lab >> i was to investigate that aspect of renaissance and new work so that's why this piece it is important it was a renaissance composer. >> there were young people that are not interested in seeing traditional opera and like the quality and it's different it has a story telling quality every little detail is integrated and helps to capture the imagination and that's part of the opera how we can use those colors into the language of today.

[applause] ladies and gentlemen, as you all know out there in the community, summer is coming and that means it's not time to sit around and watch tv, it's time to get out and enjoy the city we live in, it's time to eat healthy and be active. and trying to lead by example, i had the incredible honor on april 30 to participate in a 5k run in our first annual fourth grade.

and this is the first annual because it's our intent that this will become a yearly event where we will all run a 5k in the fourth grade setting the example that good health starts early. they let me an old guy like me jog along with them. i was very happy to do that, and i'd like to thank gloria and michelle for putting that together. you've recently heard me mention [inaudible] not just the sixth grade, not just the seventh grade, but the entire middle school will run their annual restoration run for roosevelt midding school. dle school. we'll be starting at chrissy field and will be running a 5k this friday. better me than you.
