altercation i'll was talking to casey i wonder how that race went one hundred years ago it can't be as fun as it is today and we want to thank the media group for putting the fun >> safety back into thirty this race they began in a short time to prepare but had the vegetation of working with great city departments from police department and the dpw to and recreation and park commission for a wonderful collaboration to really reorient and reignite this race this is a race this is suggestive of what san francisco is about it's about a race for everybody from athlete returns to families to people that want to have fun on our streets.

i know that our supervisors in particularly supervisor tang and london breed have been a great part of the judicial race but they're happy to see all the effort it's erected in making in race safe and skwef but i also want to say thank you to the away optional group they actually 0 want this race to be a tradition in san francisco they picked up a great o to with with like more mask and the san francisco boys and girls club and with the labors union there they're also making partners this year with sf generate club and with the tipping point community in fact the tipping point community is receiving a

portion of the register fees that everyone rentals with and, of course, utilize that money as all the other agencies in helping out our community and making sure those in poefrt what have renewed resources this is a wonderful k that iowa's up group put together. i know other races across the country are redebiting that connection and it's worth all the effort and i know this raised about will continue to build more and more we're going to get to the 90 to one hundred thousand people raising shortly this year we have 40 thousand registered we're excited about and see this race in the san francisco style people low be ray's at the front to try to win one of the many different prices

that are happening and people regret activist cookieness of san francisco the in favor of our neighborhoods people president to have fun raising or walking or running or jogging all the way to the waterfront. but i want to thank the iowa's up group for being the lead and touching all of us with their san francisco values and character of the race the more and more people associate with community based organizations and connect up great event the more i think they reflect what the city is about. thank you very much to all of our sponsors and all the agencies that have worked very hard to make that safe and secure and fun for everyone and you're going to see this reflected. i know supervisor breed and supervisor tang are interested in those aspects of this as the

the d 5 neighborhood association group he along with connor johnson and the aide in my office led the way to make sure that it didn't have the negative impacts on the community like in the past. i appreciate the work they continue to do to make our neighborhood safe pedestrian safety is important i want to make sure we're having a good time because bay at that breakers it uniquelyly san francisco but i want to everyone to be to rob responsible the chief will talk about the public safety measures look out for one other people get over the top with the drinking we don't want incident so we want to make sure the rooftop parties down and keep

the other event that create some of the challenges we experience that gives bay at that breaker intents spin it's one of the most fun and exciting raze anywhere around noefrlg in the country it's fun and innovative and, yes there are people without clothing and if we have a day like there will be more this makes san francisco incredible all the folks with that good looking come out to make that i know that's not important for a supervisor it say (laughter) we want you to come we want you to have fun and to enjoy the bay breakers and have an incredible time but we also want to you be safe and respect the invade and use the porta pot i didn't see

in the street and respect san francisco. it all boils down we're a great and beautiful and incredible city with in this case event like bay at that breakers with you make sure that everyone whether you're a participant or visiting the city or live in the neighborhood we want you to be safe because casey iowa's sum and the away sum group group in is the first time they've stepped in i appreciate them willing to put out more porta pot i didn't see and i appreciate them lvnsz to members which the community so everyone in my baiting at that breakers let's have a good time and keep it safe

for that the the rest of the city how we preserve is culture character of our neighbor harvey milk said this is a san francisco of the neighborhood that's true today. this features the vibrancy that is unmatched anywhere in san francisco this resolution to establish the latino district and celebrates the richness of our culture and his and the chirping that this community has had human resources the latino culture district is described as an amended version of the resolution that includes some of those language but our san francisco port al harden said i quote is little place where you
