college applications and constantly bugging my teachers for help paid off in the end. i'm proud to mention i was accepted to the california college of the arts and cal poly. i'll be walking across the stage this saturday for my hard work my next step is to start off the beginning of a new chapter in my life i want to end by saying you've got to keep our head up if i can make a come back anyone in this room can 0 do this no matter the situation you've got to keep our head up. thank you, mayor and barbara thank you for the opportunity and audience for your undifferent attention i now understand the power of education

3w0u7bd around and then a couple of years leader we get evicted from our home due to financial strunlz. thankfully the san francisco housing authority gave us a place and our first apartment and home in katrero hill. having a stable home meant one last thing to worry about. i loved walking to school i want went to staggering it was close i walked to school a and had friends in my community and enjoyed living there. i was in school like every other student elementary the only difference was at home, i held many responsibilities.

i helped my mom what with cooking and cleaning and getting any siblings ready for school and picking up them up sometimes. once i hit high school i saw the world different i went to school for associate justice it meant they taught me concepts like opposition and librarytion those are things other schools that won't have taught me i started questioning religion to the way that people served food at the parts women are unusual first in high school i looked at college it wasn't a topic to discuss when you younger because we never really it was just nothing we really talked about we just want went to school i don't know

what the a through g you requirement i did not know why they were important. throughout any high school experience there were many people dropping out my switching schools and people dying because the violation in the neighborhood. although those things are going on around me i didn't give up i didn't have much academic support because that my mom didn't know how to help me. but thankful will i i learned how to reach out i took every opportunity given to me and now 12 years later -

million to finance the costs of various capital projects benefiting the water enterprise, declaring the commission's intent to reimburse itself with one or more issuance of tax exempt bonds and ratifying previous actions taken in connection therewith. >> supervisor avalos. >> thank you, president chiu. colleagues, these items are related to capital projects and the puc power, water and wastewater enterprises. many of them have significant capital, capital needs, especially the water enterprise. these item are also attached to our cleanpowersf or our community choice aggregation program. we did have a little kerfuffle in the budget committee. we're trying to make sure that we could continue to move forward with cco program and maintain a plus in this program. over the past year we've seen

that the puc has held off on approving not to exceed rates that were part of our cleanpowersf community choice aggregation program and we used the time in the budget process to negotiate a pulse in the program to make sure we could have some of that continue and bring before the puc at any other time. ~ at another time. i know it's a lot of work to do to get a mix the puc could support and the political challenges facing us in getting approval there, but i think it's important that we keep this program before us and provide san franciscans -- that could provide san franciscans with a choice for renewable energy in their homes. that's what this program, the cleanpowersf program could ultimately provide. but that's a small part of what is before us today. the puc is one of our largest departments and its mission
