mentor and coaches everyone tha that thas has brought to this point and assisted you in 4th of july what i want to do in our life so if you haven't had a moment to recognition our aunt and uncles and family members we have to put our hands together for all the family members that made this possible. and tomorrow is interesting tomorrow you'll begin to face we rae life decisions are going to have real life consequences b think about that before you possess that post that convertible photo because here you'll have to present yours for the opportunity coming your way and some will be easy to identify and others not so much.

some opportunities will come from people you know and some from complete strangers the key is to be able to see a solution to a problem before everyone else does it means being prepared and being in the right place. but the tricky thing no opportunities is going to come but if you sit passively by so be retina ready for the next opportunity be prepared and thoughtful and engaged because in the end we need you, your city needs you. and if the vision of our future is to leave an unassuming life or not contribute to our community be a great dad or work for local government or small business passion and will

high school from waking myself up to managing my time wisely i was focused to determine that any senior year to get accepted two at least two colleges and graduate high school. staying after school working on college applications and constantly bugging my teachers for help paid off in the end. i'm proud to mention i was accepted to the california college of the arts and cal poly. i'll be walking across the stage this saturday for my hard work my next step is to start off the beginning of a new chapter in my life i want to end by saying you've got to keep our head up if i can make a come back anyone in this room can 0 do this no

to begin i'm originally in los angeles i was born over there when i was about 2 my mother and i moved to the bay area and would go in the s r o in the hotels in the tenderloin we 3w0u7bd around and then a couple of years leader we get evicted from our home due to financial strunlz. thankfully the san francisco housing authority gave us a place and our first apartment and home in katrero hill. having a stable home meant one last thing to worry about. i loved walking to school i want went to staggering it was close i walked to school a and had

friends in my community and enjoyed living there. i was in school like every other student elementary the only difference was at home, i held many responsibilities. i helped my mom what with cooking and cleaning and getting any siblings ready for school and picking up them up sometimes. once i hit high school i saw the world different i went to school for associate justice it meant they taught me concepts like opposition and librarytion those are things other schools that won't have taught me i started questioning religion to the way that people served food at the parts women are unusual first in

high school i looked at college it wasn't a topic to discuss when you younger because we never really it was just nothing we really talked about we just want went to school i don't know what the a through g you requirement i did not know why they were important. throughout any high school experience there were many people dropping out my switching schools and people dying because the violation in the neighborhood. although those things are going on around me i didn't give up i didn't have much academic support because that my mom didn't know how to help me. but thankful will i i learned how to reach out i took every
