hundred plus that's the initial price for the first 24. on page 22 of our report table 4 that shows the base excavation that the mta will pay not to exceed contract amount of one billion dollars plus on page 23 of our report the mta has identified fund for 986, 995 not to exceed a billion dollars plus. so that there is still an unidentified funding source of $400 million plus.

we have a number of recommendations supervisors and they're on page 26 of our report first, we recommend you amend the resolution to include two option for 40 additional light rail vehicles and 45 additional light rail vehicles respectfully and that recommendations is consistent with the intent of the mta. the second recommendation as we recommend you recommend the mta to remedy the board of supervisors approval prior to assessing the light rail vehicles contingent upon identification of $2 million resources to pay for such costs and any contract whether the funding source is not identified our recommendation is consistent we believe that the board of supervisors has at oversight

authority and should continue with the oversight to make sure those funds are identified. >> mr. rose will we have our report in 20028 with the nasa i said i don't intend to work beyond 2050 the third recommendation we recommend it paroling proposes the mta to enter into the light rail vehicles would be subject to the board of supervisors approval there's a provision in there now that will enable the department to enter into such a financing agreement, however, we're uncomfortable with that there's no details with interest costs or terms about that all the time

have many on probation. all maintenance problems particularly with the doors i know there was an incident a while ago and a we saw 63 on video and the door was with wide open just this morning wade connor intelligent by the e me he was going to be late because of the door. this lack of trains what causes most of the delays and overcrowding and frustration the muni riders experience it keeps us down on the services and it is what shakes people's confidence in muni we have a flight that's held together with duct tape i broken promises question can't serve our

existing riders when i past muni and look at the muni cars and the taxing capacity it is at peak how can we expect to serve the t line and have transit for office buildings being speak and over the next decade we expect to have one hundred and two house though new that residents this is definitely the answer to replace and modernize and replace our fleet this is a monumental fleet to make this a dream in our city we're in the process of replacing our entire fleet and the rubber tire side i've sponsored all the contracts we'll soon have a reliable fleet
