to 3 minutes that are not affiliated with the parties to assist the minutes members of the public are asked but not their full participation. it felt like a really great starting point for the coming year. during this meeting, we managed to discuss some major revisions and to our bylaws and that will be finished within the next month or two and should be up for voting for approval. we also discussed about recruitments and outreach to make sure that this council's presence is known more in the community, not just to organizations bus to -- but to the general public so they understand what it is we have the power to do because i feel there is a misunderstanding and that is on our part and we

developed strategies and ways to incorporate for increasing the outreach and getting people to understand what we can do and how they can participate with us. and leading to the possibility of creating new subcommittees to address some of the concerns from the public. as you heard today and the previous meetings about the growing needs for addressing transportation needs, also about understanding the needs of members of our community, such as those who have none visible disabilities to and they also have a stake in our meetings. lastly we spent time discussing goals for this coming year and really making sure that each member of this council takes it upon themselves to have personal goals as well as goals as this council as a whole and everyone on this council is doing their share and their part to really work with the city,

work with the public as well. that includes for us reaching out to the board of supervisors more, connecting more with city departments and making sure that we can get out into the community and really help incorporate us and the public. so that this body is for the public, it is not for us to sit up here and dictate to the people in attendance here as well as out in the community. it's for us to work together as a team. and that is what i have for now. >> thank you very much. >> next item. is there any correspondence? none? okay. then it's councilmember assessments and announcements? >> me. >> mr. zarda? >> no go ahead. last night i had the privilege of attending the california public utilities commission, one of the opportunities to have a
