that you give equal weight to diversity of life experience, as well as professional and educational experience. john is a tenderloin resident. he is also disabled. he is also a struggling local artist, and i know john to be a person of integrity, of passion, and commitment. and i believe that the voice that needs to be heard on the body such as this the citizens advisory committee is exactly john's voice. tenderloin residents struggling to have their voices heard, their stories matter and their lives be considered of equal weight in terms of the city's investment in both our neighborhood infrastructure, and the commitment we make not only to the technology companies, but to residents who have to afford to live in the city that they love. and john first and foremost loves san francisco. he loves the central city and

tenderloin market area and i believe we would be well-served to have john's voice on the cac. thank you. >> hello, my name is greg and i'm a clinical social worker working in the city for west side community services and in that capacity for the last 2.5 years i know john. i think john was pretty nervous today and i think the setting has something to do with that. but more than that, i think it really talks to his humility. you can see from his qualifications he is a highly-skillful person in many facets. but more than that, i think john's greatest gifts are his empathy and his regard for others, and as joe just hinted at, he has a real stewardship,

someone with that wisdom and depth of understanding and experience to help make decisions and guide the process in a way that is effective for the entire community and the city of san francisco. so i urge you to vote for rob. thank you. >> hi there. first i'm going say that i think we're really lucky that we have people who want to serve on these communities and i think it's great that you get to hear about them and we have that involvement in the democracy. that is the first thing i wanted to say. 25 i wanted to say 25 years ago i worked at hospitality house and we provided supportive housing in the tenderloin and south of market and i also worked at larkin before they had a residential program and helped them design what they have today in terms of little more than a hundred beds.

i work at huckleberry house. i'm here to speak about rob, because i got to know him the last four years working on the network, where we did documentation on transitional aged youth. at tay we had to go through an excruitiating process to identify funding which you all heard about when we came to

visit you and as you know housing was one of the big ones and rob facilitated that process and it wasn't easy to get all 20 people on the same page in term of a unified voice. it speaks to his ability to listen to people and to provide the skills needed in bridging the different interests needed in this area. thank you for your time. >> good afternoon, supervisor. must name is paula williams the founder of the mortar foundation and we have been funding crossroads for the last nine years consistently of the i am also involved in other organization, tenderloin and bay area and campus and all of those organizations work to better the community of the tenderloin. and all of those organizations, the name that always comes up

when asking questions, rob's name always comes up. and i can just only speak about my love for the city and the importance of being able to be an inclusive city, where people of all different backgrounds, socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds can be together and share in the good fortune of this city. and over the years i have been able to see rob navigate a lot of difficult situations and he is also someone who has compassion and dignity and treats his kids, our kids, i like to refer to them as "our kids," i'm a mom of three teenagers and in the event that something catastrophic would happen to a child who might happen to fall through the cracks and end up on the street, it gives me a lot of comfort to know there are people like rob and his team that unwaveringly walk the streets, five nights a week in

you? i'm looking to reapply for board 2. i have been an alternate for the last three years, and this time i'm applying for the permanent seat or the alternate seat, depending on what best suits the needs of the assessment appeals board. i liked being an alternate, because i can serve on board 1, board 2 and also as a hearing officer, but i know that don would use me as a permanent person on-board to do whatever they had needs for. my background is pretty extensive in real estate for the last 28 years. before that i was into social work and research, social science. you have seen my resume. in terms of what can be done for the board in the future? one of the things that has been clear to me today is that if we had a little horn, like you have, that would be great. when your time is up, it goes off and that would be really nice at the assessment appeals

you to re-appoint bruce wolfe. bruce and i served together for several years on the task force. he is extremely knowledgeable about the ordinance. he brings institutional history back on the task force -- we have a fair number of new members. and importantly he brings particular expertise and information technology. and the ordinance we very often run into issues that require us to work with city agencies about how to best provide public records in various formats. the ordinance itself really needs updating and respect to information technology. so bruce would certainly fill a
