we interviewed you right after the game. >> to me, sometimes a win is a win. i would have loved to get that win as well. that would have been awesome, but for me personally, that goes a long way. my wife and i knew it. she told me i got the win and her eyes teared up and started crying. i started in san francisco. i didn't know if i want ed to be a major league. to win a world series, game 7, it meant a lot to me. my bride and i probably know how much that win meant and i'm very praud and happy that i was awarded the win for that. >> the last time you would win that game that early. even with some of the weather that we have been
1:32 pm
having, tell me about what you are expecting? >> the weather didn't affect that many turning out. there was a lot of screaming fans soaking wet. there is some pretty good excitement. this is the third time we have gone down that street. it is an awesome view when you are going down the street to see how many people that this team has touched. we know what it's like. we are 42,000 every game almost and we are excited about the fans how they are for this team and see all our fans in one group yelling and screaming, it does mean a lot to us and it does bring reality to what we did. sometimes we are so mentally tired from that series, from that run, we don't know what we did but when you go down the street you really understand what you did to the bay area.

they didn't say i try to relive it. i can remember almost step for step going for contact to first base, first base to home is a blur. i'm still trying to put bits and pieces to go. it's been very humbling. >> we talk about this a lot how this go around with the giants you are able to absorb a lot more. you have just experienced your second parade. were you able to absorb it more. >> i think i absorbed it more equally. the first one was a great experience. this one has more meaning behind it and just a little bit sweeter. this one there was a bunch of
1:38 pm
champs. it's just a cool experience. it definitely made a bright spot in the cloudy day today. >> thank you, travis. we are going to ahmed. >> we are with juan perez. not many were able to witness game self. seven. tell me about this experience. is the rain cold? there is a lot of people out there. >> it's been a pleasure. it's amazing. i was expecting i was going to play and got to start and did the best i could to help the team win. made a good play in left field with my boy. >> you were right there. talk about perfect alignment. >> yeah, we were playing down the line. he was always shooting the
1:39 pm
line and i'm trying to play close to the line trying to catch the ball on the foul line. it was very special, and today, it's kind of wet outside and the fans are still here. that's why we won because we have the fans that are so beautiful. they are always in the game supporting us and out there even though it's raining. i was surprised how many people are out here today. >> you can celebrate here and how are you going to celebrate at home? >> i have my mom and dad, my girl, my baby. it's my birthday coming soon, my girls birthday and the world champion. this is very special. >> this is a great time to be
1:40 pm
juan perez. thank you for what you did for the team and now we are going to amy handout -- who has another guest. >> i was admiring your shoes. this is an amazing turnout. how much did you enjoy that ride? >> it's amazing. god blessed us with the rain. i feel that water coming coming out of the sky and it was amazing. it was really good, the fans did a nice job. they were there for us and we were there for them. we really appreciate that. >> take us through the last play of game seven world series, pablo takes the last catch and collapse. what is that feeling at that
1:41 pm
moment? >> at that moment i was so happy that he caught the ball. the play before it was the play that i guess it was the world series play, you know. it worked out and as soon as he caught it, it was a relief for everybody and we knew the season was over and we knew we were the world series champs. i can't describe how big it is for us for the city of san francisco and the fans. >> you mentioned the play before pablo catches the final out and it was mid-play ball outfield and something you said real interesting to me that you have made a lot of plays and you have been able to pick a team member up and they picked you up and
1:42 pm
this has been the most pivotal moments in the giants in the last five 5 years and hopefully you give yourself a break and enjoy getting another ring. >> yeah, i even talked to bob about it. i said thanks for backing me up. he was just laughing and he told me, well, you will be -- you have been backing me up since you got here. i needed you there to pick me up and it was good and we did it. amy, it was amazing. as soon as it happened i just thought that we needed to get one more out and now it's over and now we are celebrating with you and the parade and the fans waiting outside for us. >> thank you, gregor, a world championship is collaborative
1:54 pm
>> thanks very much. i have my tag team partner back. you did an excellent job. you have a future at the oscars at the academy award. you got these guys fired up. >> they have an interesting connection with the fans here. i talk to a lot of players with different organizations and there isn't an organization that talks about their fans like the giants do.
1:55 pm
they have a unique bond. with brandon, he wore a wig in a commercial. he was on a boat. it's really true. when you hear them say that, they have a very special connection with the fans. thousands upon thousands of them. it's really true. it's not just a hollow thing they are saying. the players so appreciate it. when we talk to players everyday and they say, you know, we want to thank the fans. i can't count how many times fans will say what's this guy like. they identify with him so closely. there is so many games. you covered baseball 162 games. you see these guys on tv all the time. the fans know buster an they know how exciting hunter is and
1:56 pm
bumgarner is. >> that really helps the giants because when you are a free agent herecious it makes a different, where do you want to play ? where do you want to call your career? the fans do that. they do a great job creating the environment for the fans. >> they want to win. if you won three and five 5 years and you are a free agent, you are one who gets to win back-to-back. it's the fans and a chance to win. >> you know what's interesting too as we see the crowd here just in credible. what's interesting to me, dave, is that the crowds, some organizations, some is fan bases if they won it in 2010 or 2012, you get a physicianel -- if fizzle out. you get immune because it's happening so frequently. i was curious to see how many
1:57 pm
would come out in the rain. it is amazing. they are not fatigued by it at all. they are standing in support and standing strong. we had a really rough stretch, he said about our team. he said we had a really rough stretch in june and july and it was at home and there was hardly any booing. you cannot going to see that. >> they are going to win next year. they are not waiting until 2016. they are doing in 2015. amy on the carpet with tim had udson. >> i have kim had udson. >> let's start with you. >> i'm kate, kennedy. >> job well done, mom. let's hear about what you think about watching dad get his first world
1:58 pm
championship after six 6 years. you weren't even alive when he started playing. how are you feeling about this? >> i'm so grateful, happy, relieved. i don't think it's going to set in until we get home. but watching tim, he's like a kid and christmas. i have been trying to take a video of him today. he's so excited and baseball has been such a blessing to us that we can never, you can't imagine until you actually do it. >> okay, there is something big happening today. it's called halloween. are we skipping halloween, do we get to do it later. do we have costumes? what are you going to be for halloween? >> i have this mask and i might wear that. >> next year you can wear
1:59 pm
your dad's ring. >> i'm going to the hotel. we went trick-or-treating because the parade was on halloween. we had a chance to go trick-or-treating door to door. >> in kansas city we went door to door and they handed out candy. it was great. they handed candy at the hotel. >> kansas city was great. >> do you have a cost ume or are you going to hand out candy? >> we carved pumpkins last night with the bumper to bumgarners. >> all right.
