truly brilliant october. during the postseason, as these guys grinded out win after win after win there were some people out there that were saying there is no explaining these giants. well for all those people here is the explanation. we are an organization and a community that picks each other up. what makes all this work as corny as it might sound, it's the sense of all this truly being in this together, the fans, the players, coaches, the office, the ownership group and every usher in the park. there is a culture of the giants of genuinely caring for one another, loving each other. that's our x factor. i remember hearing from

that they won this world championship. it's the products of the scouts on the road for some 300 days a year, the coaches in richmond and august a preparing young players by joe panik prepare them to play in this field in the park. it's the product of the general manager who constructs the roster with care, that's why they are from free agency. that pitcher was a world class resume. he finds those special players who has the grit and the heart and the talent to be on this squad. james pivey, michael morse, they have been in it all their lives.
