we had a curriculum committee meeting last night the first for commissioner shamann walton and we had one on the preoccupyness of tv movies dollars a substitute motion some clarification other than languages language around what specifically we're directing staff to do sunlight as a result of this resolution generally positive feel from the committee members we moved the resolution to the full board with a positive recommendation and had 3 informational items the ferries was an update on the s back spring testing we heard about the plans that is in place and the timeline and the resources that are available to

educators to schools and to us and parents about the s back testing there's an internal website which i think we would love if it were sent out to the full board we can get all the information about the s back testing there's apparently a video which was made, if any, fourth graders about the s back testing happening throughout the spring we had folks talked to us about the plan and went into detail if you time more information do the website we talked about the african-american initiative that was a report about the african-american parent citizens advisory committee and some of their activity was a bit of the substance of the discussion and talked about i think some of the things you've heard together 9 hope to see on the curriculum committee a regular discussion

that really started our committee as a whole the african-american initiative that will be continuing in the committee over the next for the next year at least as long as i'm chair we'll have that only a regular basis? a commitment to that as well as an update from the team eastern specific pieces and the african-american family breakfast that occurred last week and an update on that we heard an update on the scorecard how it's being put together with the lack of the cf t data that was a big point of discussion what we're using to put that together that will be coming to the full board we'll have a discussion about the balanced scorecard so if the
