last year. we never had the cliff, but we kind of weaned officials ourselves over the revenue from candlestick. we have so many other revenue strategies that have allowed us to really absorb that hit and the mayor's office, i think it's really important to note that the mayor's office was very helpful in allowing us to absorb staff at candlestick so we don't have layoffs. >> we're addressing that lost revenue? >> i think you saw that in katie's presentation and i think a lot of it has been through more people using our parks, but we continue to focus on keeping our earned revenues strong. so that curve, that number that you see that upward

trend includes historically included candlestick. so you didn't see a big dip and candlesticks had been closed for about a year now and we're still on an upward trajectory with respected to earned revenue. >> commissioner bonilla. >> what a fantastic job and i'm very excited about the new budget. it has so many innovative approaches to addressing major problems or issues that we have had to face over the last 15 years. so i wanted to specifically state that i'm pleased that we're adding six -- we're proposing to add six more park patrols park patrol staff. although i wish you

to approve a request for a temporary art installation in civic center plaza from april 10th through may 3rd. the art gallery of at taiwan is requesting permission to install a exhibition in section with the lpga swinging centers golf tournament. it's a depiction of artwork similar in scope to the proposal this year that was staged in and around the golf course for last year's tournament. the current proposal for this year contemplates 19 vibrantly painted sculptures. the sculptures are not be permitted to be placed on the turf in any way, nor would they impede the egress of the plaza. the department is requiring

that the art installation be structurally anchored to wood pedestals. they are stainless steel pilings and protrude outward. in addition, a structural engineering report certifying that the existing concrete slab is adequate to support the weight of the installation is a condition precedence to any permit issued by the department and will be required to obtain liability insurance, thereby covering the city in event of any loss. yesterday february 18th, 2015 the san francisco individual arts committee approved the installation and the item is currently scheduleded for their march 2nd agenda for approval by full commission by resolution. this is a picture of a horse, of one of the sculptures that is pretty large.

they vary in size and weight. the smallest one is about 155 pounds and largest about 2,000 pounds. a very renownedartist in at taiwan and i believe he was the first taiwanese artist to have that display doing a little research. that concludes my presentation. >> thank you, andrew. >> any public comment on this item? seeing none, public comment is closed. >> art critic, commissioner low. chinese but the korean and vietnamese and all the cultures that celebrate the license number in charge year i also want to welcome our nuttiest members of the board of supervisors our sprilg who represents district 3 (clapping) and i know she shares the same fascination of anita and i and others here of the expended design that make making and several other artists have put together to kind of view the latest intertwines with the levitated stamps i want to thank and congratulate the united states postal service those are times they ask the public's assistants because the great organizations but they also do the things we are proud of i want to congratulate her, she has to be routine by the

planning commission, and may be acted upon by a single roll call vote international female postal stamp it's important to commissioner christensen and anita's the mother of two daughters and important to me as a father of 3 women and poor to leonardo she's not here but is our first african-american board of supervisors president this is, of course, the year of the ram and it means artistry and a let's shyness i society with and it certainly means wichl and respect i think those traits will be with us throughout the celebration we just kicked off with commissioner christensen the stockton street merchants and the widening of the sidewalks and that displaying and showing

service a year and a half there are a lot of applications about ideas so it is competitive, however, we're lucky in this chinese asian community sometimes, we ask make a difference we have i believe we were fortunate many of our members a member of the chapter james is a person that came up with the idea and why not have something to commemorate and honor the history and contribution of the chinese-american in this country so you can could it, too so the ideas can work to bring people together so since 1990 and 91 we've worked on the idea about an postal service through a

national caption to bring together and since the year it was 9 that it was - actually, the new year's was celebrated in many, many countries we're very, very delighted to bring the stamps forward it brought together a lot of people around the country and it is a community event that brings people together out of the last several years so we're very proud of that and it is continued to be an event we come together we're happening happy to see the children this is our future and you really care for the school district to to those events to learn about our history some people traveled from beijing in addition to
