this cumulative irs have been addressed they've made an apples and oranges project for the eastern neighborhood and compared them to developments just in shipley square and potrero hill loolth the reports in the area without filling the units that are constructed the fact we've already exceeded the potrero hill projections and show case square by 20 percent we don't need to wait for the 2015 monitoring report we were promised a few array of public benefits to show the completeness of neighborhoods including the open space and improved transit and the community facilities and the affordable housing so where are those promised benefits? improved public

transit the traffic study for the project has a number ten bus running at 98 capacity at rush hour before the 7 thousand neighbors arrive as the 22 we leader we get to keep it for 2 to 5 years to have it it rerouted after the projects traffic we have several intersections at potrero hill with that are another unacceptable levels our air quality is rapidly sdlain what happens when we add warriors stadium and pier 70 to the mix new parks we know we're deficient the potrero hill area promises 4 acres of new open space we're still waiting meantime jackson county park that is heavily used and didn't

provide open space to the neighborhood will soon be severing not only seven hundred neighbors but more than 33 hundred new residents within 5 blocks of park we recognize the need for new housing we get that we're building luxury unit and this project must be considered in the context of other development and address the things we need like better public transportation and open space as well as housing for middle-income earners and, of course, the families thank you as the next speaker comes up i'll call for names (calling names). >> my name is cashing i can't a mother and nurse a resident of

us in san francisco we were one of the fathers and mothers that found a great school i'm worried about the noise during construction any daughter is sensitive to sound i'm worried about the learning the draft eir is inaccurate on page 26 it says live oak is a good summary program we need to have the noise it activities like demolition done during wants summer breaks and other breaks like winter i don't know how the kids will learn the draft eir does not care the impact of sound mitigation measures that are being considered like sound link daylight is so important for

potrero hill i'm got firmer roots the main concerns i have with this project are the inadequatecy of the study of traffic something you're hearing a bit of i think that the study needs to be done during the morning rush hour times i've lived by 18th and mississippi that intersection that was earlier shown and that is typical traffic for that area it's a huge problem and being studied by this commission as well we need to be aware of the fact that children are going to be crossing the streets alu at all hours of the day i think that certain mitigation measures need to be take into account i think another major

conditioner is jackson county park my children use that it is going to be severely impacted by the shadow that is going to be cast 40 percent shadow on this park and 25 percent during summer most this was not mentioned in the draft eir arrest not only is the smood going to have an impact but the use of residents on the park is going to have a significant effect and while i welcome new resident to potrero hill i think it's fantastic place to live over the course but i think this project needs to add mitigation measures to either provide a reservation facility a come municipal recreation facility something that the live oak school has discussions or some other form of recreation area that can

afterward because of the size i've looked at the planned i agree the architect is a good architect he designed where i live the two years of construction will be create horrible and unbearable sound and air pollution in the environment and the eir did not adequately direct that i'm a professor i do my research another home 3 days a week the quality of the air and sound through my window faszs facing the site will make that impossible to work at home one the reasons i lost potrero hill there needs to be more affordable housing in the neighborhood but noors there's no indication this will be more affordable housing the onness and the air and the light the mix of small residential

in the neighborhood bus particularly the hazardous i've treated kids and seen first hand the defendant stating effect on the neurological development live oak it is expanding the way it is expanding it's adding a class in kindergarten and then first grade and second grade interests an expansion of the kindergartener and especially will be double over the next 7 to 8 years therefore an increased density of kids vulnerable to the toxicity of lead in particular, the eir skims over the issue didn't mention that specifically i support the reduced density plan but billy will love for more

detailed impact on children not only live oak but specifically too what is going to be done during the construction to contain any type of toxicity as well as taking care of soil an excavation i know myself i incurred a 15 thousand there's bill for lead mark farrell from tracking it in from the backyard so it's important on potrero hill where homes have had trucks through there and toxic materials in that space love for the commissioners to consider that. >> i'll call for names (calling names).

the poor conditions in the restrooms it is really gross and the pelosi and lead basz based paint i went through a couple of classrooms in that mraurld and the clogged drinking fountains given this it if seem the eir sufficiently addresses the new unit directly across the park jackson park is the only park and will be a draw if you want to work with the vendors to see it serves not only the housing needs but the long term stnlts for all residents and as a side my husband i, tell you there's a baby damon boom you'll see kids

blue-collar workers i'm concerned of the increasing gent indication and the displacement of the families and the loss of distribution and repair workers that represent our community i want to begin by referring to the land use oufbz and how they're ignored in the mariposa project 1601 where more and more psa possess wants to be i'm on one hand how the jobs are going to be increased or replaced how are we're going to revitalize our neighborhood rather than repopulate it for 1601 sdp mariposa didn't respect the well-being of a variety of businesses the 1601 mariposa development b will result in the displacement of those jobs and

sole for residential use and the cumulative loss of pdr space was not anticipated in the draft eir and definitely merits further study we would like to see the development that will create job opportunity for diverse workforce pr for instance the development could hold more spaces that creates jobs for manufacturers and repair with work work we have no interest in turning mariposa into a higher rent place it is the project looking at the extent of this cumulative loss when a neighborhood losses it history it losses it's character and when it louses louses lose it characteristic it losses it's
