and i have a lot of friends thank you, mark and priscilla you and other leaders are transforming our mission to providing compassionate care and clinical experience and hospital that turns no one away no one it is our safety net you see the need to be there and appreciate the everyday work of the decreases and nurses that gift and other leadership gifts make a difference everyday to everyone in our local community and country and world i'm grateful i stand before you on behalf of our co-chairs and campaign committee and everyone in the tent in our san francisco community thank you for this amazing transformational gift i thank you all who came before you and all of those who will

follow you we've gun control to this point thanks to extremely generous gifts as great as this is we need our gift we need everyone in the community to be part of the hospital my goal to have a whole new generations of giving whether $10 a thousand dollars or million dollars whether it's buying a beautiful sculpture you see today to put in our corporate liquor or buying a heart necklace out the gallery for goes on sake every one of you can shine goes on and light on this hospital on our community every one of you can be a part of great work to insure this hospital remains our safety net for all you know my story our young son

there at the hospital when gunshot victims were there and police officers were met that unfortunate circumstances and house of representatives of our fire department were braibt brought in as victims and was there when anita my wife was in an unfortunate did this is a hospital that serves everyone and anyone it is the best trauma center you'll find in all the state of california (clapping.) so i know that all of you wouldn't be here unless i knew that was a hospital that you not only wanted to back it is a world-class hospital a very unique relationship with the teaching facilities at ucsf and it's wonderful facilities we've seen the wonderful investments

they've gathered are the benny hoff hospital and all the other the cancer hospital and women's hospital they've been wonderful that relationship has best practices a tremendous blessings for city government i think you all know and feel that that's why i want to make sure we continue raising you'll the funds to complete this entire effort and goal the foundation has and again i want to add my thanks to my good parlor bear brother he and i went to the same college we were parlor bears i want to shout out evidenced there at the beginning when this capital campaign started he and mar bitter man and so many others i want to say as many of you may hopefully have heard i want to be a mayor of a city not only that is

successful but a city that knows how to share in that prosperity that hospital is at the sr. center of that prosperity given because of the businesses community and all the named you saw on the video or announced by judy and pam and rich and i i know that they'll be more in coming if we didn't have that kind of philanthropic participation then we'd be spending money we need more our parks and education, our transportation and our housing to support the furniture and equipment and the future world-class advances that our hospital will have with that private sector that will be a lead goal certified hospital it will compliment the largest bond the voters ever passed 8

hundred and 87 homicide bond that's it that's why i'm thankful for the zuckerberg it is the largest contribution we've gotten in the whole country of the united states it's wonderful (clapping.) so i'm here to thank you. i'm here to try to inspire if you can pick up the red for the purpose as pam said or make a donation and continue this wonderful effort it becomes a public campaign and compliment the tremendous public donations we'd like be a grateful grateful thankful city and, of course i'm so lucky to be your mayor because i'm also a grateful mayor to you all thank you.
