health care as we on the new clinic we want our health clinics here historically policymakers streetd poverty as an economic issue we look forward the jobs and poverty here in this industry ccii and city but through so much of our work thas has been highlighted by the workers and the health care it is as important as a issue as housing and jobs we can't make our population healthy without access to proper health care not having enough money is the issue but it means not enough access he is to the health care and not been able to provide the jobs if people are not physically and mentally ill

healthy thank you to our nonprofit you're such an important piece and partner with the hospitals to make sure we deliver the services to our population that are coming out of incarceration that are coming out of homelessness or continue it live on the streets those that are low income i've had the opportunity to knock on doors in 2010 and 2014 i happen upon hoousht residents on treasure island when i was there i would ask what was living experience like for you and it was nothing but the most positive comments not only am i getting the counseling and support i have a community of folks that understand my experience i get it live with and in building

affairs randy wikt ordinary person (clapping.) >> it was a pleasure to be here i'm randy the director of affairs with kaiser permanente we're excited to be part of the project i'm excited to see so much o so many people turning out this is kind of kind of like a reunion when we come together in community health so kaiser permanente has been in the san francisco bay area so for 70 years from the beginning part of our mission as well as taking care of the people that choose kaiser permanente for their health care but to improve the health of the community we serve this provides me an

interpretation opportunity to meet the people in the community that are dedicated to improving people's live when we come to a community wire helping to improve that broader community you look around the city and see the construction cranes and hear about the changes in the city all are having a positive impact on the community 1922 important we make sure that nobody is left behind that's why on december 17th our ceo bernard 81 son along with mayor ed lee and kaiser permanente contribution have a half a a million dollars to support the construction of this clinic (clapping.) thank you as part of our community benefit program we work with the other hospitals in the city and

closely with the department of public health which is one of the best public health departments in the country we're fortunate to have dph and do a needs assessment through that assessment different health indicators are identified two are access to the high quality serviced and insuring the healthy and safe living environment so i want to acknowledge health 360 because their deliver on both of the things through the work they do and take in glide land martin and hate ashbury resident into the program and provides stability for the programs that's important to the thousands of people that go to those facilities fy for their

that will be here this is really been our dream and vision so whatever specific services brings the client in the door they get the services if a compassionate compassionate comprehensive way to help people get better and do better and be better that's on the building you'll see when you go upstairs i lock up and down this street and around this neighborhood and see the life and growth and vital and techs and new businesses and people tapping away on their smart phones and building new housing and office building and here we'll be in the middle of that a brilliant move that san francisco welcomes it's new
