10:42 am
want to be explicit about our process and make it clear that allegations of misconduct are investigated by the department or ocii and depending on the level of discipline can go and be disposed of by the chief are department if it is discipline it will come before you us and it is assigned to one of the people up here so the taking of evidence the departments lawyer puts forgot evidence of the guilt of the police officer that entire record of the hearing is read by all the commissioners and it deliberates open the guilt and penalties of the officer for those reasons you will not hear any of my fellow commissioners nor administrative review speak about our thoughts
10:43 am
on the specifics allegations of officer misconduct that may come to us this, however, bears repeating we take our role very seriously and hold our officers to the highest of standards san franciscans expect no less of us other role replay is with policies and to president breeds want i have requested the ocii and their policy shop understaffed is something we have to work on in creating policies it is a fact not everybody watches the mr. johnson on wednesday night those are volunteers that have worked to create some of the most aggressive policies the ocii has regarded we've changed how to arrest people and deal with their children not to trauma intents them and we have crisis

that's a lot of years but i came to park station the one thing i royals this is a very historic and proud place the artwork i see up here is actually been drawn by our artist and foot beat officer who that works willie and if you look at the artwork on the bottom the tag line that is a the summer of love never ends (laughter) but you know what? all this didn't highlight the rich history of the district and the officers take - they realize when they go out and police this district they do it with respect and with compassion and dedication i have great officers that work every single day to get the interaction and they it
10:52 am
is mind blowing the k i'd like to before i go further i want to thank my staff so i do want to acknowledge them so my myths statement is simple it is basically this is a historic district i want to officers to go out there and enjoy the district and interact with people and want to get out of their car and i want it very informal so what i want if they're getting coffee to walk around the block walker through a park stand there and let people come up to them and talk to them it is the biggest ice breaker i have that many people that point san francisco shake our hand and they want to know
10:53 am
what's going on in the district it is a good way to engage i've told the officers i've done a little bit of formal encouragement i check with bhie sergeant on the areas getting covered and the officers on foot but roll up to them i've been hearing feedback from e-mail this is that happening so it is really important to me the example recently, i got open e-mail from someone a couple of days an officer was walking through the park and out through half half an hour and talked about with the folks that's what i mean just being approachable. >> currently, the park district

city if i look at it the 3.2 skrielz reconciles is the most progressive it is probably had the biggest impact on culture and music's like people want to come to san francisco not only do we get a flock of tourist but in fact, if you look at history there's a lot of good stuff that's come out of the park district and i really do look at that and it is really important to me 28 schools in the park district i have 5 and one recreational center and one hundred plus thousand people from stein to part of golden gate park and geary and the golden gate park side is the fun part of the park
