care and also a plan for foreign students 15 years and older which is mandated by the state of california ed ford could and last year the board of education took the privileges with the city and county to delineate it on the county schools and finally a decision.

>> spring 2015 the graduation status results described two main groups of students the on track and off track students within the off track we have the severity from the my left side from the class green before

graduation sufficient credits but missing an average of two courses to be on track and the next category and next off track to one semester severely off track they're off track more than one year here we're showing the data last fall and the dictated now in the spring so ass as you can see in the springtime 69.2 percent of the students are on track to graduate this is approximately 2 mount 7 percent increase from the fall that was of .9 percent and you can see the next category with the students have total credits they're missing an average of credits 19.2 percent and look further down students

are up to one semester 4 percent off track up to one year 40 percent and students off track they're up to 4.1 percent loovthd the existing expanding support for off track students if you add up the students you add up in the students if the missing classes for graduation we're projecting 88.7 percent of current students projected to graduate high school in four years. >> excuse me. you see the 2.7 percentage increase that's important we continue to be committed i'll see the lines

from the superintendent we're committed to system change innovate necessarily system improvements we want to see one hundred percent graduation if we continue with the fidelity and the support of board of education and with the systems in place this percentage will only get better we're completed to a hundred percent graduation with the on track students from fall to spring. >> so this show you it by ethnic groups chinese students have the highest on track and african-american and latino and somalians have the lottery african-american students are approximately 53 point and

latino 41 and samoans lower if you look at the 40 percent of english learners we've been talking about them on track to graduate and - and also 38.8 of the special education students open track to graduate. >> our numbers from last year were similar maybe a few points lower were trying to get more this year but for future performance our african-american students will chief 88 probation officer to 90 percent at the end of this summer intervention programs there the support funded by the board of education. >> so, now looking at the same ethic sub groups how did he do

last fall how have they improved last fall as you can see all of the sub groups and programs southeast asian students have the greatest percentage of increase. >> they'll not be supporting all students at stanford university so this chart shows that the assistance support.

support they create a 4 year plan their monitoring their academic achievement so when students fall into those statistics they provide the credit recovery in order to get the streets back open track for graduation and this has been a collaborative process over the last few years this year we have finally systemically provided a process to provide the council's and others about their students off track status and this was developed in collaboration with the festers about the process o so what happens every september or february it is provided to the school sites they review the data and essentially we mail letters home to the students

that are off track and the school approve the letters before we accepted them anti unusual at burton or former mayor willie brown for families to come to counseling outside the school this is the third year from 2012 we had only a few families that participateed and there's 47 last i couldn't tell year this school year in the fall 81 and having two more sessions this spring that took advantage of that. >> so that concludes our pay attention i think this is a further example of the incredible collaboration between c and i secondary is the dawn of a new era for the support in the
