sculptures of animals not at the zoo most are endangered braille writing so blind children can touch those animals and is it ties into a zoo metrological connecting those will all have a connection and best of all it opens up the asphalt area by the playground that had some hazard trips and falls in an old tent that was a great way to take care of maintenance so thank you to the donors as well and if you know what a selfie is the those trajectory this is our bus shuttles on the animals taking selfies of themselves in the city that is kind of fun under the pro bono of the swirl advertising so thank you for that. >> speaking of summer i want to

do it t a precursor on summer pricing we'll make an formal item commission but zoos across the country is exposing seasonal pricing if you go on the bay bridge you'll understand this but this attention most of the attention is coming through the summer months particularly june july and august our proposal will be going forward to explore peak or seasonal summer pricing again, the gate as we call it our mission is over 50 percent of our operating budget again we'll go into more details i wanted to show you where we were with the san diego zoo at the top and adult is $48 a day at the san diego you know it didn't
3:57 am
stop there are they charge you all the way through we like to compare ourselves with the law zoo adults are $19 and the senior fees there at the san francisco zoo the la the san francisco resident is 15 and non-adult we're at 7 by 7 we want to compare ourselves with them we offer free mission 12 times a year and providing access to community services as well as the school kids for free we'll fine that and the oakland pricing is 1, 74 nearly 7 by $7 with that, i'll show what we're
3:58 am
considering our cfo will make that a formal proposal so the numbers will be good for katie the proposal is to go up $2 on non-peak times and $3 for peak time we'll need rec and park or joint sdwoo approval for the joint times obviously typically come down if we've made a mistake we've had two increases over the last 10 years one two years ago in 2013 and prior to that 5 years 2008 during the recession we didn't increase the prices but the cumulative haks consumer price index harassed gone up so to keep this in consideration and formally considered wait next week and lastly as i mentioned we still
