(clapping) >> my name is leah i'm one of the original 5 that was hired to open up the shop i should say we were trying to open it in 1989 but the earthquake came we were retouching the floors before we opened in 1990 i want to thank the city for continuing to be part of the growing and addressing the needs of the community i first started working in the community center that south of market and what with our the liaison between rec and park and the community with robison and the rec directors and the community-based organizations in south of market created us to work very, very closely with the

incredibly proud and so chieftd to celebrate the silver anniversary i wore silver together tim because of the anniversary of the rec center i don't know what 50 juniors we had a little tribute a special acknowledgment for the staff amazing it go walk into the rec center meeting on wednesday morning i see tim sitting down there surrounded by the community workers to champion the program and it is a wonderful we want to acknowledge the efforts and have a special conformation accomodation for

exciting i represent the tran transfer loan our phillip when is the project manager is with me in spirit we wanted to give a taste of the eye towards the next 25 years the transit is collaborating with the friends family and the incredible staff and rec and park to look at a feasibility study to figure out how to move jean rec center it is such a strong committed collaboration when we i sat here a couple of months ago license to the presentation i texted phillip and said get ready for a robust process we had 2 hundred and 50 people attending focus groups the outreach and participation is huge we feel that embodies
