the federal government is rigging us to report on outcome we have 9 separate ways to collect the data the federal government will take money from us if we are not clear and to assess that we are pressured by the need to move off our legacy system that will no longer r be supported by 2019 we have 2 hundred and 25 millions over the next 5 years and doing an assessment review over the next 6 months to get the right vend and we'll be returning to the board of supervisors for this contract with a lot more detail with the

health electronic records we'll talk about the overall budget and the roll. >> good afternoon supervisors greg cfo just a couple of brief high levels overall slides decoration garcia hit the highlights to put it into context we've submitted budgeted to grow by $50 million into 2015-2016 and another 3 of the following year so that puts us over $2 billion beginning in 2015-2016 and those are growth rates of 2 and a half percent in the first year and one .8 percent in the second year our share is subsidized by 2 and a

half percentage that remains flat compared to the current years budget. >> as you can see it is hard to read but you can see the changes by division you see a decline in san francisco general hospital what that is an artifact as director barbara garcia we have a large expenditure in the 2015-2016 budgeted with the fixtures at the new hospital that leaves our budget it decreases but our operating budget is growing as and have to staff the new hospital you'll see a growth in the public health and primary care division and those are part of our effort to stressing our ambulatory care as we meet the affordable health care with the

preservation and some of the q investments to the electronic record in terms of our fte count there is a similar shatter on the following slide showing we've submitted growing by about 3 hundred and 25 ftes in the first year and hundred and 59 in the second again a large portion is due to the staffing for the new san francisco san francisco general hospital we'll be operating a larger facility footprint between the two buildings and we'll have certain staffing increases associated with the expansion of some of the services including the emergency operating rooms and some of the functions that the new hospital - so i will leave it at that and happy to take questions we have 3 pieces of legislation on

there's a lot of staffing increases i assume this is at the hospital to staff up? yeah. a significant portion of the staffing is for the hospital that is about hundred and 18 ftes that are associated with the operation of the new hospital and then in addition we have growth in our primary care staffing and the public health department that is our function and it infrastructure associated with the electronic health records budgeted under the height division the 3 major budgets for the san francisco general hospital for information technology projects and in primary care and okay. thank

>> okay thanks mr. rose before your report do you want to comment separately. >> i'll comment briefly item 4 an item you see at this committee every year a number of grants that require approval by the board of supervisors those grants reoccur ero multi years rather than having them individually we bring you this piece of legislation to accept and spend those fund o those are included in the budget proposal. >> item 5 is something you see every year at this committee that is our patient rate our official rate for the health care system really there are two buckets on our physical health side to the hospital and primary care billing those are railway paid

the rates in this ordinance by the president of the united states paid by other than medal and medicare we pay a rate schedule and have a sliding rate foes for others this is to make sure that we've submitted drawing a sufficient level of the reimbursement for commercialships at the surface. >> the last item is number 6 we have we purchase a lot of our materials and supplies and equipment through a group purchasing organization that is an organization that allows probation officers hospitals to pool their purchasing power and negotiate favorable prices scott wiener we have a controllers prices that recommended changes how we do that including adding second with purchasing organizations as an option to look at pricing and clarify the

report. i'm so incredbly proud to introduce to coach rocky and sf bay socks. coach if you can bring yourp players. this is a very special group of athletes and want you to meet them. a few weeks ago this group of 12 young women-can you queue up the laep top. there we go. these 12 amazing young women base ball players traveled across the country to orlando florida to compete in the first ever base ball for all national girls base ball. featuring the tougherest athletes 10 to 13. the san francisco bay socks

competed against 11 teams compiled a record of 6 and 1 make tg to the semy final game against the florida rays and finishing 3rd place in the country. this event brought together the past and present and promoted the future with female base ball pioneers includingmy bell bear and [inaudible] chelsy baker [inaudible] served as captain of the base ball team. we are so proud of these young women. so proud of coach rockgy alex and also to all the parents who gave us your kids, trusted us with your kids for this incredible journey. i had the honor of watching them play. i flew to orlando and saw their

first match and it was inspiring. commissioners these kids can flat out play and derve every opportunity compete on a base ball diened not soft ball but base ball with everyone else. 100 thousand girls play unsome form of coed little league icross the country, by the time they get to high school less than a thousand are still playing. these women proved they earned a pot on the diamond to complete with anyone who is willing foopick up a base ball glove and bat and i'm so incredbly proud of you guys. come on up rock and say a few words. >> thank you phil. i get emotional also. thank you for having us this morning. this is a special day for me. i

let their child go to to florida and gave their child that sense of independent. i think the girls along the way really learned a lut. i also cht to say thank you for the players for accepting this responsibility and the commitment of the last 4 months of coming to practice and being not only just coming to practice but trying their all and giving 100 percent and through our coaching and leadership the girls have created many friendships here and think they will be life long friends. not only that but they got to learn a lot about base ball. i'm hoping that this base ball program will continue and encourage more girls from san francisco to participate. not only that but especially the underserved communities recollect we would like to welcome all the girls from san francisco to

first baseman and our second batter in the line up and she moved the runners forward so we can score. the next on the list is megan grant. megern is one oaf our youngest on the team, she just turned laechb in january and we call her mega tron. she catches, pitches and plays first base and she is our 4th, 5th hital so she is a great player. they are all great. layla hen see. laylx s was the stud second baseman and didn't let anything get by lur. bionca higa. bionca was a second baseman and also a pitcher and our big game, the

third place game she put 3-she pitched 3 scoreless inens with a jammed finger from the game before. great job bionca. dee monteverde. dee is the stud third baseman and i played third baseman as well so i'm hard on her. mar lynny is a 5th bet batter and she hit a double that scored in a couple big games. jacquie snideer. jacquie snideer is our right fielder and was a great player in the right field. over time the last 3 months she improved from the big inning of the

practice to the last game. she came up big for us and she is a really sweet kid. thank you jacquie, it was a pleasure having you on the bay socks. leah kate roger. leah did everything for us. she was the pitcher, lefty pitcher, first baseman and out fielder and she battled on some great bats so it was a pleasure to have leah on the team too. ellie van deezen. ellie is a short stop and forth 5th hitter and she gave it her all every game in 95 degree heat and didn't miss

a inning. great job. kirby wong. kirby is also a outfielder and she is from the saulf ball world about transferred into base ball and it was a pleasure to see her perform over the months and weeks we had her and she has done so well over the time and kirby helped lot not only the field but in the dug out. she kept everyone focused on and par. great job kirby. i have 2 unfortunately-cia bizony isn't feeling well today and odd reburn and cia was our catcher stud and first pitcher and short stop and she gave it her all 100 percent. sorry you couldn't meet her today. oddry burn is another special outfielder left fielder and i
